"When I saw you hugging another man, my blood boiled and I couldn't stay rational at all."
When Shen Lin said this, his gaze was exceptionally cold and his tone was very forceful. Even if it happened again, he would not be able to remain calm.
Ye Xinning became even angrier when she saw how confidently he spoke.
"No matter how many times I say it, you just won't believe me."
"That was the reaction a normal man would have."

Ye Xinning stared intently at Shen Lin. She had previously thought Shen Lin's behavior was inexplicable, but after Shen Lin's explanation, everything made sense.

Shen Lin pulled her into his arms, wanting to kiss her forehead, but Ye Xinning pushed him away.
"What? Did I say I forgave you?"
Although it was just a misunderstanding, she felt depressed just thinking about how heartbroken she was last night because of his indifference.
Shen Lin didn't get the kiss he wanted, but he wasn't angry. He placed his hand on her hair and said gently, "Then what do you want me to do to make you calm down?"
"Can I say anything?"
"Um."
Ye Xinning pointed to the door, "Then you can leave. I don't want to see you right now."
"Except for letting me leave."
Ye Xinning, "..."
She pursed her lips; she knew this man's words were unreliable.
She lowered her head, playing with her hair. Seeing that she still seemed reluctant to talk to him, Shen Lin sighed softly.
"I know it's my fault. You're sick right now, so please don't be angry. Getting angry will only make you feel worse."
Ye Xinning muttered under her breath, "You were so indifferent when I was feeling unwell last night, and now you know how to care about me? Too late."

After thinking for a moment, Ye Xinning decided to tell Shen Nanxing what had happened from yesterday until now.
And she humbly asked Shen Nanxing for his opinion, "Don't you think I'm being a bit too dramatic? He's already lowered his head, so it really was a misunderstanding. Should I stop ignoring him like this?"
Shen Nanxing chuckled softly, took her hand, and said, "It's true that my brother doesn't trust my sister-in-law, so he should be punished a little to prevent him from being so domineering next time. As for the degree of punishment, that's up to you, sister-in-law. I don't think there's any problem with it."

After the doctor finished the examination and said she could leave, Ye Xinning lifted the blanket to get out of bed. Shen Lin walked over, squatted down, and before Ye Xinning could react, he picked her up by the waist.
Ye Xinning was startled and tried to push him away, "What are you doing, Shen Lin?"
"I'll carry you home."
Ye Xinning said, "Those who know me will think I have a cold, and those who don't will think I've had a leg amputated. Please let me down."
Shen Lin frowned, not only not putting her down, but also lowering his voice to reprimand her, "Don't talk nonsense."
