Liao Qian: "You...you..."
Thunder: "Phew... You all go, I want to be alone."
Liao Qian: "Sigh, alright, I'll go back and approve this. Call me again if you need anything. Allen, let's go!"
Liao Qian pulled Allen away, and Lei Ting lay on the ground, the very spot where he and An Ning had been intimate, desperately trying to absorb a trace of An Ning's scent. An Ning ran around in front of him, but Lei Ting didn't want to grab her; he knew it was an illusion.
An Ning: "Thunder, why didn't you arrest me..."
Thunder: "Anning, let me take a good look at you, because I may never see you again."
An Ning: "Hehe."
Lei Ting stroked the phoenix coronet and wedding gown he had prepared for An Ning. Wearing these, his An Ning would surely be his empress, the mother of the nation.
When they arrived at the room on the second floor where Anning and he were making love, Anning liked to roll around in the pearl bed. Leiting helped her rub her back with pearls, which made Anning feel itchy, so she lay back.
There was a pill capsule on the floor under the bed. Lei Ting picked it up and broke it open. There was no powder inside. It was from the day An Ning tested him.
That day he really felt like he was going to die. He didn't expect that Anning was testing him. Anning said she forgave him. His joy at that moment was all in that pill. Leiting swallowed it.
There was a small cake in the refrigerator, which Anning had left over. Leiting ate it, so we probably won't be able to eat anything related to Anning anymore!
After finishing the cake, Lei Ting packed up a few of An Ning's close-fitting pajamas, and also took a few bottles of the wine that he and An Ning had left over. After tidying everything up, Lei Ting felt that it was about time, stood up, and went to the An family's door.
Anning went home, locked herself in the door, and stopped talking and crying. She just curled up on the carpet in her room.
The images flashing through her mind made her unable to stand up. Her stomach felt warm, thanks to the medicine Lei Ting had been brewing for her these past few days. An Ning touched her and Lei Ting's wedding ring. When Lei Ting gave it back to her, she had been looking forward to having the ring back on her hand.
An Yiyang and Han Yi were at a loss for what to do. An Yiyang had already called the hypnotist.
The hypnotist said it would be possible to forget Thunder, and this time it would be more powerful, allowing me to forget everything about Thunder in one go.
An Yang made a stern statement, saying it would be best to forget everything about An Ning's university life, so as to eliminate any future troubles. The hypnotist said that it was possible to achieve this, as An Ning was on her way.
Inside the room, An Ning heard An Yang's voice telling her to forget Lei Ting. She closed her eyes and tried not to think about it, but the more she tried not to, the more she thought about it.
Anning wanted to write to ease her pain, just like before, so she desperately searched for her tear-stained diary and finally found it in a corner.
Anning flipped through the notebook and found a page with tear stains that weren't completely dry. Anning touched it and realized it was Leiting's tear stains.
An Ning closed the notebook, her whole body covered in marks left by lightning. She stood up and went to the bathroom to wash her face. Looking at herself in the mirror, she frantically rubbed the mirror until her reflection became blurry.
Lei Ting appeared behind her, holding a face towel to wipe her face. An Ning touched it and realized it was a hallucination; she was standing alone in the empty bathroom.
On her dressing table were the gold hairpin, floral moisturizing lotion, and various skincare products that Lei Ting had brought her.
An Ning remembered all of these things. The ingredients for the Flower Branch Moisturizing Lotion were precious and the manufacturing process was complex. It cost millions to make one bottle, and it had never stopped being produced over the years.
Anning walked out of the bathroom and lay on the bed. Leiting lay down next to her and told her that it was her first time staying at her father-in-law's house and that it felt very strange. Anning wanted to touch his nose, but Leiting disappeared again.
Han Yi knocked on the door and came in, making a calming soup for An Ning. An Ning then asked her mother to leave.
She was drinking by herself, picking up the soup, when Lei Ting appeared beside her, taking a spoon and feeding her spoonful by spoonful, saying, "Lei Ting, you drink too."
The thunder disappeared again. Anning blinked, and the necklace on her chest flashed. It had rained the day she bought the necklace, and the two of them had taken shelter from the rain in Chinatown.
As Anning shook off the water, Leiting appeared with the necklace and helped her put it on. He wiped the rainwater off her head, and the rain that day turned into Anning's tears, which dripped onto the necklace.
In the living room of the An family, the three members of the An family felt sorry for An Ning, but were also annoyed by Lei Ting.
An Yiyang: "Sigh, how could this happen! Everything was fine these past few days, how could it suddenly turn out like this!"
Han Yi: "Everything was fine this morning. An Ning saw Lei Ting saving people and that's when she remembered."
An Yang: "Save my ass! Damn it, I'm so angry... He must have cheated on me again."
Han Yi: "Your brother-in-law saved people; look, there's a video. It's all over the internet."
Anyang: "Let me see..."
The video of Lei Ting and Liao Qian using acupoints to save a person had already spread widely on the phone. An Yang's eyes widened when he saw the girl in the video.
An Yang: "Qi Li's younger sister, Qi Ya?"
Han Yi: "You know him!"
