As Lucy spoke, her hands trembled uncontrollably. Joyce hugged her, held her close, and patted her. Gals understood and sighed. Everyone could see Joyce's sadness; he didn't want Lucy to leave, even if she never looked at him again.
Allen: "Joyce, were you drinking that day?"
Joyce shook her head and said, "We didn't drink. We were painting in the studio, and Jennifer wanted me to be her nude model. I... I did betray Lucy."
Gals: "If you don't love Lucy, why don't you just tell her you want to break up? Why do you have to hurt her like this?"
Joyce: "I love Lucy very much. It was my fault for cheating, but for so many years I have been tormenting Jennifer and myself. I have collected a lot of girls, and none of them are like you. I hold them in my arms and call your name."
Lucy: "I'll grant you and Jennifer your wish."
Joyce: "Betraying you was my mistake, Lucy. It's been three years, three years. Not a day has passed without me thinking of you. I've been partying every night and changing women every day. I just want to forget you, but the more I do this, the more I can't forget you. Your voice and smile keep appearing in front of me."
Allen: "Yes, Joyce only became like this in the last three years. He wasn't like this before."
Joyce: "Lucy, look at Anning's eyes, they're so much like yours, but I can't have her, and I don't want to keep deceiving myself. Lucy, don't be so cold, let's hug again, okay?"
Lucy wiped away her tears. Just then, Jennifer and a group of girls arrived, arm in arm with an old gentleman. The girls frolicked around the table, and upon closer inspection, it was clear that each of the girls resembled Lucy in some way.
Jennifer walked straight over. Joyce turned her face away when she saw her, while Lucy remained indifferent. Jennifer sat down next to Joyce, smiling at Lucy.
Jennifer: "Long time no see."
Lucy: "Long time no see."
After Lucy and Jennifer clinked glasses, Lucy stood up to leave.
Lucy: "I'm going back now."
Lucy stood up to leave, and Joyce immediately stood up and hugged her. He didn't say a word, just held her tightly. Lucy pushed him away, but he hugged her again. He didn't say a word, just held her, not letting her leave. Lucy tried to push him away again, but she didn't have the strength. Jennifer watched them and ordered another drink, which she swallowed.
Joyce: "Don't let go, okay? Let's not let go anymore, okay?"
Lucy didn't speak or answer. Joyce wiped away her tears, and Joyce's fingers smelled of cherry omelet mixed with lilies.
Joyce didn't let go, and everyone looked at each other, unsure of what to say.
Gals received a phone call at home; his three children were waiting for him. Gals couldn't handle the situation. He left after delivering the chocolates that the Queen had given to Lucy. Liao Qian, Allen, Lei Ting, and An Ning went to deliver them.
Gals politely got into the car and left. When Liao Qian and the others turned around, Joyce was still holding Lucy, and Jennifer was sitting next to her.
