Joyce and Lucy's arranged marriage took place at Hertz Castle. After Lucy arrived, she had a pleasant conversation with Anning and even drew portraits of Anning and Thunder.
Allen and Gals sat not far away watching Lucy's actions. Lucy made many moves, but she didn't respond to Joyce beside her. After finishing the portrait, Liao Qian called Anning and Leiting away.
Lucy and Joyce were alone together. Lucy took out a pencil and sharpened it. People were swimming in the pool, dancing on the dance floor, and many were drinking and socializing, but this joyful atmosphere did not affect Lucy.
Joyce couldn't wait any longer and fed Lucy another cherry. Lucy ate it, and Joyce caught the pit near her mouth. Lucy spat it into his hand, but none of this affected Lucy as she sharpened her pencil.
Joyce tried to talk to Lucy, but Lucy ignored him completely. After she finished sharpening the pencils, Lucy put them all in a box and then ordered a drink.
Lucy: "Waitress, this way."
The waiter brought over a glass of wine. Lucy picked up one, and Joyce picked up another. Just as they were about to clink glasses with Lucy, Lucy took her wine and went to Gals's side.
When Gals saw Lucy coming over with her wine, she also picked up her glass.
Lucy: "Gals, thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to see me. Cheers!"
Gals: "Cheers."
After Gals finished her drink, Lucy beckoned for another drink and said to Allen.
Lucy: "Alan, thank you so much for the arrangements today. Cheers!"
Allen quickly raised his glass and clinked it with Lucy across the table, then finished his drink. After that, Lucy waved for more drinks, and Anning was worried about her.
Anning: "Lucy, what's wrong? Don't drink so much. Come and have some snacks."
Lucy waved her hand, holding her wine glass, and said to Anning.
Lucy: "Anning, thank you for asking me to paint your portrait during your wedding. You even made me cherry omelets today, showing me respect. Thank you, cheers..."
An Ning: "Alright... Cheers..."
Anning and Lucy toasted, and Lucy downed three glasses of wine in a row. Anning quickly picked up a cookie and fed it to her.
Anning: "Lucy, have a cookie."
Lucy nodded, while Joyce watched her movements from behind. What did it mean? Why was she toasting others three times while completely ignoring her?
Lucy was still waving when the waiter brought out drinks, but Gals stopped her.
Gals: "Lucy, what's wrong with you today? Do you feel like drinking so much?"
Lucy: "I'm so glad to see you all. I'd like to have a few more drinks."
Allen: "Lucy, what are you hiding? Tell me your true thoughts."
Lucy: "My honest feeling is that I'm so happy to see you all."
Lucy's forced smile left everyone speechless, but Joyce couldn't take it anymore. She stepped forward, snatched the wine glass from Lucy's hand, and said...
Joyce: "Lucy, what drinks are you having with them?"
Lucy smiled at him and took his hand. Joyce was puzzled, wondering what this meant. Lucy held his hand and said...
Lucy: "I want to drink today."
Joyce: "What exactly do you mean?"
Lucy: "What do you mean by 'what do you want me to do'?"
Lucy held Joyce's hand. Joyce felt that Lucy was particularly cold. This made Lucy feel uneasy. Lucy still smiled at him. Gals couldn't bear to watch and solemnly said to Lucy.
Gals: "Lucy, we called you here today for a blind date with Joyce, but you have the right to refuse, and we respect your choice."
Lucy shook her head and said to Gals.
Lucy: "I hope to marry Joyce as soon as possible."
Upon hearing this, everyone was somewhat shocked, the most shocked being Joyce, who had previously ignored him and was now saying she wanted to marry him. What did that mean?
Anning: "Lucy, is this really what you think?"
Lucy: "Yes."
Allen: "Marriage is a big deal, you need to think it through."
Gals: "Lucy, I'm being serious with you, you have the right to refuse."
Lucy shook her head, repeating the same thing.
Lucy: "I hope I can marry Joyce as soon as possible."
Everyone fell silent. Something was wrong with Lucy. Anning was trying to persuade Lucy, but no matter what others said, Lucy only said one thing: get married as soon as possible. Joyce looked at the cold Lucy and held her hand tightly, as if she were holding a block of ice.
Joyce: "Lucy, look at me."
Lucy looked at Joyce, who spoke to her very seriously.
Joyce: "Do you really want to marry me?"
Lucy: "You want me, and you just happen to be able to give me what I want."
Upon hearing this, Joyce said that he had said the same thing before: let go of Lucy's hand. But why did Lucy's words sound so cold? Joyce took a step back.
Joyce: "No...don't do that."
Lucy: "So, what do you think?"
Joyce: "No, that's not it. You want my title? I'll give it to you, but you can't do this."
Lucy: "What do you want me to do...?"
Joyce: "I want you to love me because you love me and marry me."
Lucy: "I like your title."
No one had ever said this to Joyce before. Every girl around him said she loved him and didn't love his title. When Lucy said it, Joyce found it hard to accept.
Joyce: "What?"
Lucy: "I like your title. I will marry you and let my children inherit your title."
Joyce: "No."
Joyce had said those words at the dinner table that morning, that everyone would get what they wanted, but Lucy had said them out loud, and he couldn't accept it.
