One of Anning's suitors, Blake, talked to Anning a lot. After Anning confided many of her innermost thoughts to him, Blake introduced his partner, Nini, to Anning. Thunder's mischievousness resurfaced, and he used his wizard identity to scare away Blake and Nini.
An Ning: "You're so annoying. I'm glad I told you beforehand, otherwise you would have done something else."
Thunder: "Hahaha, I won't do anything to people like Blake and Jenny who admire and respect you. I'm targeting those with ill intentions."
Anning: "You're like a wild and untamed tiger, always baring your fangs behind my back."
Thunder: "Even a tiger would submit to you, hahahaha..."
An Ning: "You're so annoying."
Anning took a sip of juice and sat by the pool with Leiting, whispering to each other. Anning carefully examined the interior of the Queen's castle. The entire castle was simple and elegant with few decorations. In the corner, there were a few coconut trees with green coconuts hanging on them.
Two bikini-clad beauties walked over to the poolside, holding wine glasses, and sat down opposite Lei Ting and An Ning, who were whispering to each other. An Ning noticed that they were sitting directly opposite her and was wondering what was going on when Lei Ting turned his back. One of the girls touched Lei Ting's back, and Lei Ting was startled and stood up, looking at them before turning his face away again.
Ollie: "Oh, his back is very strong."
Viya: "Sir, please sit down and have a drink with us."
Thunder: "What the hell? Anning, let's go."
Anning stood up to leave with Leiting, but Aoli and Viya immediately stood up and blocked their way. Leiting turned his face away, and Anning looked at them and swallowed hard.
Ollie: "What's wrong with having a drink? My male companion can give your female companion a drink."
Thunder: "Oh my god, waiter, please call Liao Shen here for me."
Viya: "Why call him here? We like you. Your physique is much stronger than his."
Thunder: "Get lost."
An Ning: "Lei Ting, don't talk like that. Sorry, we have to go now."
Ollie: "Wait, you'll like my male companion."
Anning: "I don't like it. This is my husband, not my partner. I can't give him to you."
Thunder: "Let's go."
Lei Ting pulled An Ning toward Liao Qian's location, with Aoli and Viya following closely behind. Liao Qian and Allen arrived, and Aoli looked at Lei Ting with admiration, but Lei Ting didn't even glance at her.
Liao Qian: "Aoli, this is my younger brother, not your date at the ball."
Ollie: "Wow, you're a wizard too! That's amazing! I prefer strong, muscular Eastern wizards."
Thunder: "Oops."
Allen: "Olivia, Mr. Thunder already has a wife and won't play your games. Please show them some respect."
Viya: "Allen, what are you saying? We're pursuing someone we have feelings for. Get out of our way and don't stop us."
Oli and Viya relentlessly pursued Lei Ting, leaving him speechless. These two seemed too open, almost like they weren't wearing any clothes. Gals came over and naturally put her arms around the shoulders of Allen and Liao Qian, who were explaining things to them. She stood between them, facing Oli and Viya, and said...
Gals: "Aoli and Viya, who do you like? Is that person better than me?"
Auli: "Duke Gals, we like this Eastern wizard."
Gals: "Oh? Ollie means you like this wizard more than I do?"
Viya: "No, no, no... Ollie, let's go."
Viya and Aoli left after being humiliated, and Lei Ting breathed a sigh of relief. What kind of people were they? To ease the awkwardness, Gals ordered two drinks and clinked glasses with Lei Ting.
Gals: "Haha, don't mind them. These two sisters are very open-minded. Maybe you're just too popular."
Thunder: "Thank you, Duke Gals, for getting me out of that predicament."
Gals: "Don't be shy, sit here, no one will bother you."
Lei Ting breathed a sigh of relief. When could he go home with An Ning? The people here were too open; this wouldn't do. Several girls were swaying their hips as they walked around. If this continued, Lei Ting wouldn't be able to keep his eyes open. Just as they sat down at the white square table, a group of people approached from a distance. Queen Anna and several maids followed behind her. Upon seeing the Queen, everyone stood up and bowed. Lei Ting glanced at her; the Queen of Bei Aiguo was even more benevolent in person than in the photos on his phone. The Queen smiled and waved her hand. Everyone followed her to sit down, and the Queen carefully observed them. Her gaze landed on An Ning, who smiled at her.
Gals: "Your Majesty, please allow me to introduce you. This lady is Anning, the Bread Queen, and next to her is her husband, Thunder."
Anning/Thunder: "Greetings, Queen."
Anna: "Anning, just call me Aunt Anna."
Anning: "Okay, Aunt Anna, you look great."
Anna: "You are beautiful. Looking at your smooth skin reminds me of when I was young."
An Ning: "Hehe, thank you for the compliment, Aunt Anna."
Anna: "Joyce said you saved him. Your husband risked his life to unbuckle his seatbelt. You were very brave, and I want to reward you."
An Ning: "This is what we should do."
Queen Anna waved her hand, and a maid behind her presented two knighthood badges of the Northern Patriots. The Queen's personal butler then personally pinned them on Lei Ting and Liao Qian.
Anna: "Your husband Thunder and his brother Baron Liao Qian are granted the title of knight, as a reward for saving Marquis Joyce and preserving the Joyce family bloodline."
Lei Ting and Liao Qian exchanged a glance. It was rare for two Chinese people to receive a knighthood. Liao Qian stood up, and Lei Ting followed suit to thank them.
