Lei Ting worked all night, hand-beating eggs, putting the cake base into the oven as Jenny taught him, hand-beating strawberry jam, adding a little sugar to make the filling, piping, and decorating. Finally, he finished making the cake in the morning. Decorating the cake with a strawberry was An Ning's favorite.
