Anning had truly vented her anger by teaching Jasmine a lesson, and Leiting also liked her this way—decisive, logical, and capable of striking a nerve effortlessly. An Ning: "Thunder."

Anning lay down next to Leiting, who pulled her into his arms. The embrace was so warm, as if she had been holding him all the time. Anning snuggled against Leiting contentedly, and Leiting slept soundly and peacefully in her arms.
Thunder: "An Ning, don't go..."
An Ning: "I'm not leaving."
Anning was also a little tired, so Leiting held her as she slept. The two slept until about noon when Anyang called. Anning answered the phone while still in Leiting's arms.
An Yang: "Sis, you're awake?"
An Ning: "She's awake..."
