Thunder: "I genuinely want to help you find your other half."
Yaheng: "My other half is Anning, your ex-wife, who will soon be my wife."
Thunder: "OK, just as you said, you want peace, but she won't like these arrangements of yours."
Yaheng: "You're trying to mislead us. Anning loves roses the most, how could she not like them?"
Lei Ting: "An Ning likes red roses, as bright as blood. These are pink, she won't like them."
Yaheng: "I don't want to listen to your advice. Please leave."
Yaheng pretended to chase Leiting away. Leiting released the balloon in his hand, revealing Anning's location. Leiting pointed, and Yaheng looked in his direction.
Thunder: "I can help you win her over."
Yaheng: "What?"
Allen: "Finally fixed. Liao Qian, let's put him on top. I'm so busy I'm dehydrated."
Liao Qian and Allen interrupted each other, S fixed the light, and Ya Heng missed seeing An Ning in the direction Lei Ting was pointing. After carefully checking the light and confirming that there was no problem, Ya Heng remembered Lei Ting's words about catching up with her, so he went to Lei Ting's side and talked to him.
Lei Ting took two glasses from the tray brought by the waiter, and sincerely handed one to Ya Heng. Ya Heng, who had initially been hostile, was now somewhat convinced by Lei Ting. He clinked glasses with Lei Ting, wanting to hear him continue.
Yaheng: "What did you just say? Help me win over Anning?"
Thunder: "You've gone to so much trouble just to confess your feelings! I can help you increase your chances of success."
Yaheng: "Really?"
Thunder: "Of course..."
Lei Ting tilted his head back and took a sip of wine. Seeing his relaxed and sincere demeanor, Ya Heng decided to listen to what he had to say. If Lei Ting had any bad intentions, he would definitely drive him away.
Yaheng: "You tell me first, I'll listen."
Thunder: "OK, first of all, your setup is great. Roses are very romantic, and girls love them. Secondly, your intentions are good too. Focusing the lights on one person, with thousands of lights shining on them, is something no girl could resist. But..."
Yaheng: "Just what?"
Seeing that he had taken the bait, Lei Ting squinted and continued speaking. Liao Qian looked at him helplessly, exchanged glances with Allen, and the two walked towards the teaching building. Lei Ting was left alone to continue his performance.
Thunder: "But we are Chinese after all, and in Chinese culture, the veil is lifted during weddings."
Yaheng: "Lifting the veil? What does that mean?"
Thunder: "You can search it up now; the general process is all online. Allen's assistant, S, is also Chinese; he knows how to prepare the script. Just stand on the stage, slowly lift the veil, and amidst the cheers and blessings of the crowd, you kiss and hug..."
In his mind, Yaheng imagined Anning, his bride, veiled, walking slowly towards him from a rose archway, kissing and embracing him—a vivid and romantic fantasy. Reality, however, was harsh. Seeing Yaheng's stunned expression, Leiting snapped his fingers. Yaheng, still wanting more, urged Leiting to continue. At that moment, Yaheng completely forgot that the man before him was the ex-husband of his beloved girl, viewing him entirely as a savior.
Yaheng: "Anything else? Is there anything else...?"
Lei Ting: "Of course! We have a tradition of drinking from the same cup. We cross two cups and drink from them. Once you've drunk from the same cup, you're considered husband and wife. Isn't that twice as effective? It's full of creativity."
Yaheng: "Why...why should I believe you..."
Thunder: "Look who that is."
Following Lei Ting's pointing finger, Ya Heng saw An Ning sitting gracefully on a chair below the stage. Her slender, long fingers held a glass of champagne, which she brought to her lips. Her fair, translucent neck exuded a unique, ethereal charm. Her focused eyes were intently watching the magic show on stage. Ya Heng's eyes lit up the moment he saw An Ning. He immediately wanted to run over, but Lei Ting pulled him back.
Lei Ting: "You'll mess things up if you're in such a hurry. These are surprises, you can't let her know. You still need to discuss the details with S. S, S, come quick, Yaheng said he wants to pay the bill!"
Yaheng: "When did I say I wanted to pay the bill...?"
Thunder: "I'm doing this all for your own good! If you make Allen's assistant happy, he'll praise you to Allen, and Allen will say a few good things about you to Liao Qianduo. Then it'll reach some people's ears, won't it?"
Yaheng: "Yeah! She and Liao Qian are good friends, and Liao Qian and Allen are good friends. With them helping me, she'll definitely agree..."
Thunder: "Yeah, hurry up and pay the bill."
Lei Ting called S over, and S took the account number. Ya Heng quickly transferred the money, and Lei Ting patted S on the shoulder and said...
Thunder: "Yaheng put in a lot of effort today. Not letting them kiss is your incompetence, you know?"
Although S didn't know what Thunder was up to, he readily agreed since he already had the money.
S: "OK..."
Thunder: "Okay, I have something to do, so I won't bother you any longer."
Yaheng: "Wait a minute, why are you helping me?"
Thunder: "Well, you've misunderstood me, and I want to clear that up. Also, I hope you'll be happy."
Yaheng: "No wonder... If Anning had agreed to my request today, I would have been grateful to you for the rest of my life."
Lei Ting turned around and chuckled to himself. Just don't hate him for the rest of your life. Just now, Ya Heng had looked in the direction Lei Ting was pointing and saw Julie arriving in a red dress. Ya Heng saw the lights were fixed, went to the counter to answer a phone call. He glanced around; no one was paying attention to him, so he answered the call. A voice that made Ya Heng wary came from the other end of the line.
Ocean: "How are the preparations going?"
