Lei Ting: "No! This room was originally mine. You came here to live here yourself. I went to that room, didn't I? Besides, I only just found out. Liao Qian just told me not long ago. I didn't mean to do any of this."

Guo Fan: "President Lei, about Jasmine."
Lei Ting looked at An Ning in his arms. Remembering how An Ning had taught Jasmine a lesson last time, and how he had been completely open with An Ning, he turned on the speakerphone and asked Guo Fan to tell him about Jasmine's whereabouts.
Thunder: "Go ahead and say it!"
Guo Fan: "Jasmine is dead."
Upon hearing this, Lei Ting's eyes widened and he sat up. Afraid that he had misheard, he repeatedly confirmed with Guo Fan on the other end of the phone. An Ning was also very uneasy and sat up to listen to Guo Fan's words.
Thunder: "Are you sure? What's going on?"
Guo Fan: "It's confirmed. Jasmine sold the plane ticket to the country of 'Shenshen' that President An bought for her and stayed in Niujin. Thunder: "Don't go... I didn't... she's dead, so be it..."
Anning: "Let me get you a glass of water..."
Thunder: "I'm not thirsty, don't go..."
Anning sat on the bed, watching Leiting's discomfort. On the day Anning vented her anger, she thought of Jasmine's last words: "We're even." Anning glanced at her watch; the bank would close in two hours. Anning put on her clothes and helped Leiting get dressed as well. Leiting looked at her with a puzzled expression.
Anning: "Phew...it's all in the past. She paid the price with her life...Let's go and help her bring her ashes back!"
Thunder: "Huh? But she brought it on herself."
Anning: "Let him rest in peace. Respect for the dead is paramount. Let's go!"
Lei Ting was surprised that An Ning could be so magnanimous. An Ning spoke firmly and did not seem to be jealous or being unreasonable. Lei Ting found it unbelievable. He really didn't want to get involved because he was afraid that An Ning would get angry and that she would leave him again because of it. An Ning touched Lei Ting's face and told him that she was not a petty person.
Anning: "There's no need to argue with someone who's already passed away... Thunder, let's go see her off on her final journey!"
Thunder: "Hmm... let's go together."
With the couple working together, their strength was unbreakable. An Ning's gaze was firm as she took Lei Ting's arm and got into the car to go to the FB building. Once inside, Lei Ting called Liao Qian. Liao Qian was taking a nap and answered groggily.
Liao Qian: "What's wrong..."
Thunder: "Jasmine died while setting up a honey trap in Niujin. She was murdered..."
Liao Qian: "What? Are you sure?"
Thunder: "It's confirmed, it's all over the news. That damn, incorrigible bastard."
Liao Qian: "Does An Ning know what you're doing?"
Lei Ting: "An Ning knows. An Ning wants to come with me to collect her body and send her off on her final journey."
Liao Qian: "She brought this on herself, and An Ning is so magnanimous... Fine, after all, we were classmates, I'll contact Facebook right away and have them cremate Jasmine's body. It's outrageous!"

Lei Ting felt no remorse for her whatsoever. His willingness to help transport her ashes back was already an act of great kindness. Looking ahead, remembering how Jasmine had tricked him for years and uttered insults, Lei Ting's eyes hardened. An Ning was terrified by Lei Ting's appearance; the hatred in his eyes chilled her to the bone.
An Ning: "Lei Ting, I'm really scared of you right now. Do you not want to care about what happened to Jasmine after she passed away?"
Lei Ting: "An Ning, I don't know what you're thinking. She ruined both of us, why do you still want to help her collect her body?"
Anning: "She certainly made mistakes, but you're the one who hurt me, and you're the one who aborted our child..."
In Anning's mind, her understanding of the past was that Leiting was the one who did wrong, and Jasmine was just a catalyst. Anning's attack on Jasmine that day was also because Jasmine kept calling out Anning's innocent child. Anning had always known that Jasmine wanted to swindle some money and didn't dare to have much hope of marrying into the Lei family. It was also because Leiting told Jasmine that he would take her home, but repeatedly broke his promise. Now Anning was very afraid of Leiting in front of her.
