Anning: "Ah! Okay, we'll go back tomorrow."
Anyang: "Sis, your voice sounds off! What's wrong? Did your husband bully you?"
Anning: "No... Anyang, can you accept that you have four children?"
Anyang: "What kind of question is this? The more children the better, four... that's fine too. What's wrong? Are you pregnant?"
An Ning: "No, I'm hanging up now!"
An Yang's attitude was the same as Lei Ting's. An Ning was speechless, feeling a sense of isolation and helplessness. Lei Ting hugged her, and An Ning put down her phone and nestled in Lei Ting's arms.
Thunder: "You two are not allowed to mention this again, do you hear me! Stop laughing... haha..."
Liao Qian: "Okay, okay, I won't laugh anymore. Let's go get something to eat..."
Allen: "Anning, have some champagne to calm your nerves..."
An Ning: "Okay..."
Anning's champagne glass contained four little dolls calling her "Mommy," which gave her a headache. Anning put down the champagne glass and covered her head.
An Ning: "Ah!"
Thunder: "What's wrong? What's wrong..."
Anning: "Hold me tight, don't let go, please don't have so many children, okay..."
Thunder: "Fine, I don't want you to suffer either. Let's use technology, then you won't suffer."
Anning: "No... I want to give birth to your child myself..."
Thunder: "Then why are you still upset?"
Anning: "Because...because I'm scared, four..."
Lei Ting: "Haha, don't listen to Liao Qian, there might not be many! Be good, eat something. Allen's flower room has gardenias, peonies, and your favorite roses, all kinds of flowers. I'll take you to see them."
Anning: "Okay, let's go look at the flowers, it'll make us feel better."
Thunder: "M, get me a peeled coconut egg. Anning likes coconut juice..."
M: "Okay, Mr. Lei."
Lei Ting gently comforted An Ning. An Ning's innocent, cross-eyed look as she drank coconut water captivated Lei Ting. Lei Ting hugged her and whispered in An Ning's ear.
Thunder: "Baby, your period will be over soon, I want to take good care of you..."
Anning: "Ugh, I hate it..."
Lei Ting: "Let's go see the flowers. Liao Qian, we'll go to sleep after we see the flowers, you two should go to sleep early too."
Allen/Liao Qian: Goodnight
In the flower room of Hertz Castle, Anning was surrounded by a sea of flowers, and her mood improved considerably. Especially the exquisite peonies in full bloom before her, which reflected her delicate and beautiful face. Anning walked arm-in-arm with Leiting through the flower room.
Lei Ting: "Anning, look at this. This is a gardenia. It smells wonderful, doesn't it? Gardenias symbolize the pure white of a Ferris wheel. This is a lily for a nine-tailed fox. Look at its stamens, don't they look like a fox's tail? Isn't it beautiful!"
Anning: "It really looks like a fox's tail! Haha, how novel!"
Lei Ting: "These are chrysanthemums. Purple chrysanthemums are what Liao Qian's mother likes. Look at this one, this is an orchid. Liao Qian often compares herself to the orchid, the noble flower among flowers. And this is... jasmine..."
Lei Ting's hands paused in front of a few bunches of jasmine flowers, his gaze seemingly pausing for a moment. An Ning didn't pay attention to Lei Ting's behavior and walked to the front of the garden, where there was a patch of tulips in bud. The pink, tightly closed buds perfectly concealed the tulips' beauty when they should have been in full bloom.
Lei Ting realized his hesitation and immediately ran to An Ning. An Ning was attracted by the small patch of tulips and seemed lost in thought. From her eyes, it was clear that she wasn't thinking about Lei Ting at the moment.
Thunder: "An Ning... what are you thinking about..."
Anning snapped out of her daze, looked at the field of tulips, and pointed to the bulbs.
Anning: "I thought this was garlic..."
Thunder: "What? What?"
An Ning: "Huh? It's nothing..."
An Ning panicked and lowered her head, trying to escape, but Lei Ting grabbed her, picked her up, and wanted to get to the bottom of things.
Anning: "What are you doing? Put me down."
Thunder: "What do you mean, 'like garlic'? Who did you say that to? The ocean?"
An Ning: "No...no..."
Anning lowered her head, her eyes darting around. That year, Anning was 12 years old. Her family was moving to Niujin. Before leaving, Haiyang gave Anning a bouquet of tulips he had grown. Anning didn't understand what it meant for a boy to give flowers; she just thought they were beautiful. Holding the bouquet, she got on the bus leaving home. A single tulip bloomed in her arms, revealing a different kind of beauty. Anning remembered the look of that bouquet. She also remembered when Haiyang first planted the tulips, Anning pointed to the garlic-clove-like bulbs and said, "Isn't this garlic?" Haiyang told Anning to take a bite. Anning almost actually did, but when she realized Haiyang was trying not to laugh, she realized she had been tricked. Haiyang said behind her that these were flower stems and would bloom into beautiful flowers. He would give the flowers to the girl he loved. That year, Haiyang was 15 and Anning was 12. Their innocent feelings were like the tulip stems—cloaked in garlic cloves, but with a hidden flower blooming inside. Anning met his intense gaze and slowly jumped down from his arms, hugging him.
Anning: "How did you know...?"
An Ning dared not look Lei Ting in the eye. Lei Ting's eyes at this moment were like Tulip's, restrained, as if he wanted to see everything about An Ning. He did not expect to guess An Ning's thoughts so easily.
Thunder: "I'm a man too. Okay, let's stop watching. Even if we keep watching, you'll still be my wife. Come on, let's go back to our room and sleep..."
An Ning: "Hmm..."
Lei Ting turned around with An Ning in his arms. Just as they turned, one of the most tightly closed tulips opened. Neither An Ning nor Lei Ting saw what it looked like after it opened; only the flower's stamen stared blankly in the direction An Ning had left.
Walking out of the garden, you walk on a crystal-paved path studded with stars. If you look closely, the light refracted by the crystals forms a heart shape, and the heart leads to Liao Qian and Allen's green house. Lei Ting's fingers still carry the scent of jasmine. Although Lei Ting tried his best to wipe it away, An Ning noticed it. An Ning only spoke when they were almost inside the house.
