Chapter 88 Painful Diary

In the early morning, Anning's breathing filled Leiting's ears. Leiting slowly opened his eyes. Anning was sleeping soundly, clinging to his arm. Her lips were slightly parted, revealing her tender pink inner lips. Leiting wanted to lean in and bite her. Anning seemed to notice him and stretched, rubbing her shoulders against the soft, fluffy bed. At the same time, she let go of Leiting's arm, and a strand of hair floated on Anning's face, tickling her. Just as she was about to unconsciously relieve the itch, Leiting smoothed her hair, gently touched her face, and softly called her to get up.

Thunder: "Baby, wake up..."

An Ning: "Hmm~"

Anning lazily clung to Leiting's arm, letting out a few hums through her nose. Leiting chuckled helplessly. Anning then opened her arms and hugged him tightly, preventing him from moving, even though he wanted to go to the bathroom. Since that was the case, he lay back down in bed, trapping Anning, who was drifting in and out of sleep, between his legs. However, he didn't close his eyes, quietly appreciating the breath from every pore on Anning's face.

Anning's boudoir had curtains that were a warm orange hue, and a thick, creamy white lamb's wool carpet on the floor. Several dolls sat on the carpet, and judging from their unevenness, Anning used to sleep with them. Their usual bed, made of Heathwood palm, was now occupied by Leiting.

Leiting got home too late last night and only discovered this morning that Anning's room always exuded warmth, quite different from the Western-style modern decor outside. A wall covered in green vines concealed books; at first glance, it looked like a scene from The Wizard of Oz. To the left, there were large photos of Anning on the wall, each one radiating a bright smile. Further down, the most striking feature was a purple stool with a little elephant raising its trunk. Anning and Anyang had won this stool while playing ring toss; Anning had landed a ring on the elephant's trunk in one go. Anning loved the little elephant as soon as she brought it home. She liked to sit on the small stool and watch short videos to pass the time, rubbing her toes against the elephant's trunk. Lei Ting nodded. Everything in the room had Anning's scent, just like her, both luxurious and simple. Lei Ting touched Anning's earlobe, and Anning suddenly burped in Lei Ting's arms, then smacked her lips and rolled over. Lei Ting quickly let go of her. Anning's legs were clamped around the blanket, and her hands were on the pillow. Lei Ting couldn't hold it in any longer and rushed to the bathroom to relieve himself.

The toilet gushed with water. Lei Ting gently turned on the faucet, washed his face, and looked at himself in the mirror. He looked much more energetic than when he first arrived. A happy occasion put him in a good mood, and he couldn't help but smile. Suddenly, he sensed movement behind him. Lei Ting turned around and saw An Ning walking straight to the toilet and sitting on it. Her pajamas were still dirty. Lei Ting rummaged around for a moment, and in the instant An Ning was about to get up, he swiftly helped her put her pajamas back on. An Ning, still unconscious, stood up stiffly and threw herself into Lei Ting's arms. She wasn't wearing shoes, so Lei Ting immediately picked her up and carefully placed her back on the bed. Before Lei Ting could pull his hand away, An Ning instinctively hooked her arms around his neck and pulled down, almost causing him to lose his balance and fall on top of her. She landed sideways on the soft bed. The bed shook violently, but it didn't disturb Anning's sleep at all. Anning was lying on top of Leiting, and before Leiting could adjust his position, Anning let out a soft moan. She pressed him down, afraid to move.

Thunder: "Ouch...this is so tedious!"

In Anning's subconscious, she didn't want to be separated from Leiting for even a moment, and her body language was all about wanting to keep Leiting by her side. Leiting could only comfort her affectionately. Anning, who was still asleep, noticed that someone was watching her and slowly opened her eyes. Leiting's gentle face appeared in front of her. Anning was so shy that she buried her face in Leiting's arms.

Anning: "Don't look, don't look! I haven't washed my face yet! Why are you awake so early?"

Lei Ting: "Your parents and An Yang live next door, I'm worried they might need something... You woke up a little early..."

An Ning: "I want to be lazy for a little longer..."

Thunder: "Okay... I'll pat you..."

Since her son-in-law was staying at home, Han Yi got up early and cooked porridge and breakfast with the nanny. An Yiyang was sitting in the living room reading a newspaper. An Yiyang stretched and gently knocked on An Ning's door to wake her up. Lei Ting was already dressed and looked at the lazy An Ning with doting eyes. At the same time, he leaned over, wanting to pick An Ning up and carry her to the bathroom to wash up.

Thunder: "Sweetie, get up and eat some breakfast..."

Anning: "Wait for me, let's go downstairs together."

Thunder: "Hmm...okay..."

When Lei Ting heard An Ning turn on the tap, he couldn't contain himself any longer. He opened the bookshelf hidden by the green ivy, and found it full of new books, some of which were still unopened. It turned out that An Ning hadn't read them at all. Lei Ting shook his head helplessly and put the books back in their place. In the corner, a diary fell out. The gray cover was inconspicuous, and the wrinkled cover was covered with rough edges.

Thunder: "This is..."

Lei Ting had a premonition, so he opened the book and, sure enough, it contained An Ning's notes on her feelings right after her divorce.

"Write down the pain, it hurts so much, my stomach hurts so much, I'm sorry, my baby, I'm so sorry... I'm so sorry..."

"I've been back in Niujin for several days now. I really want to cry my heart out, or maybe smash things, but that won't make me feel better. So I might as well just stay in bed. If the bleeding stops, will the pain stop...? My heart is still bleeding, isn't it? Even breathing hurts..."

"I can't forget that bastard, that bastard, that bastard... Where is that bastard... Why can't I forget him..."

"We moved today. Mom said that a new environment will make me feel better. My heart aches so much, I've never felt this pain before. What if I wake up and see my child... Is it a girl? In Mom's dream, it's a girl... Mom wants to hold you so much... I'm sorry... I'm so sorry..."
