In Lei Ting's nightmare, An Ning was drowning in blood. Lei Ting tried to catch her, but each time he caught an An Ning, she turned into Jasmine. Lei Ting continued searching, determined not to give up until he found An Ning. Suddenly, An Ning spoke in his ear. Lei Ting turned around, and An Ning smiled at him from behind.
An Ning: "Thunder, come here!"
An Ning waved to him, and Lei Ting walked over. Suddenly, he felt someone pull him back and looked back. It was An Ning again.
An Ning: "Thunder is on a cliff, we can't go there."
Thunder: "Peace..."
Thunder looked ahead and then back, and countless peaceful beings rushed towards him. Thunder wanted to open his arms to embrace them, but suddenly sat up and woke up.
Thunder: "Peace...it's a dream..."
Lei Ting rubbed his head, feeling tired from the dream. He looked outside and saw that it was already dark. He was hungry and wondered if his grandparents had eaten. He called them and found that they had already eaten and were asleep. Lei Ting put on his clothes, went outside, and randomly picked a restaurant to eat at.
As he ate his meal listlessly, trying to figure out how to see Anning, he heard her voice behind him. Anning and Anyang, who had woken up hungry before bed, had gone out to eat together. Anning wanted pasta and had specifically come to this restaurant. Leiting recognized Anning's voice as she greeted the waiter. He turned around in disbelief, confirming it was indeed Anning and Anyang. Anyang looked in his direction, and Leiting quickly lowered his head, afraid Anyang would notice him and leave with Anning. He took a mask from his pocket and put it on. Anning and Anyang sat at the table opposite him, Anyang's back to him. Leiting could see Anning's smiling face and was overwhelmed with excitement. At home, Leiting had grown tired of that life and hadn't looked at Anning properly in a long time. Now, Anning was not far from him, radiating confidence and sunshine, and even chatting with the waiter was beautiful.
An Yang: "Sis, where did you get this necklace? I've never seen you wear it before."
An Ning: "I don't know where it came from. It was in the closet. I thought it looked okay, so I brought it with me."
Anyang: "They don't look good. Don't bring them. I'll take you to buy some new ones tomorrow during the day."
An Ning: "Really? It looks great!"
Anyang: "Oh, it doesn't look good. Take it off and give it to me. Waiter, please throw this away for me."
The waiter was about to throw the necklace away when Lei Ting immediately followed. As he passed An Ning, he gave her a sense of familiarity. An Ning glanced back at his back but didn't pay much attention.
Anning: "Phew, it's been so long since I've gone out for a late-night snack, this feels so good!"
Anyang: "Eat more, sis, look how thin you are."
Anning: "Am I thin? Mom said I've gained a lot of weight!"
Anyang: "Eat more, even if you get fat, you'll still be thinner than me! Come on, eat more."
Lei Ting followed the waiter to the restroom and discovered that the waiter wanted to keep the necklace. Lei Ting bought it, and holding the necklace in his hand, he remembered that it was a gift he had given to An Ning. An Ning had returned the favor with a tie. He couldn't believe that An Ning would still find such an inconspicuous gift. She had really forgotten him. Lei Ting felt extremely sad and leaned against the sink, still jet-lagged. Looking at his haggard self in the mirror, Lei Ting tried to cheer himself up. An Ning's figure slowly appeared behind him in the mirror. Lei Ting turned around and saw that An Ning had indeed gone to the women's restroom.
Thunder: "Peace..."
A moment later, An Ning came out of the women's restroom, and Lei Ting was still standing there. Their eyes met briefly, making Lei Ting's heart pound. An Ning was wearing a floral dress today; she looked so pure and beautiful.
An Ning returned to her seat, completely ignoring him. Lei Ting also walked over, head down, afraid that An Yang would recognize him. An Yang didn't notice that the person walking over was Lei Ting, and was still telling An Ning to eat more.
Anning: "I've spotted you! You used to always steal my things, why are you being so nice to me these days? I'm not used to it..."
An Yang: "I wasn't young and ignorant! From now on, your little brother will protect you and be your follower..."
An Ning: "Who asked you to be my follower? I'm so busy every day, I don't have time to order around a follower like you..."
An Yang: "I wish you could stay home and rest. We're not short of money. It hurts me to see you working so hard."
Anning: "I'm not tired at all. You have no idea, I love watching the bread rise in the oven. It makes me so happy. Hehe..."
Anyang: "Really? Do whatever makes you happy, we support you."
An Ning: "Mmm...hehe, it's really delicious. Little brother, you should try this ham, it's good."
Lei Ting listened to the sisters' conversation. He knew An Ning loved baking, especially cakes and bread. However, the new house didn't have an oven, and Lei Ting hadn't bought her one. He should definitely support anything that could increase her happiness! Lei Ting muttered to An Ning, who was eating and hadn't seen him. An Ning picked up a fork, rolled up some noodles, and put them in her mouth, closing her eyes to savor the lingering flavor of the sauce.
Thunder: "Anning, I'll fill a house with ovens for you to bake bread."
An Yang felt a chill run down his spine, as if someone was watching him. He cautiously turned around to look, but Lei Ting immediately lowered his head and pretended to play on his phone. An Yang looked around and, seeing no suspicious people, relaxed. Looking at An Ning's innocent face, An Yang hoped that someone would love and care for his older sister as much as he did.
Anyang: "Sis, why aren't you dating any of the blind dates Mom introduced you to? Why don't you give them a try?"
Anning: "I don't like them! I don't like any of them."
An Yang: "Tell me what kind you like, and I promise I'll find it for you."
