Chapter 111 Guidance

The woman remained expressionless, and although she didn't seem to use much force, she almost dislocated his entire arm. Just thinking about it made him furious!

"She probably thinks she got a great deal! Serves her right! She should lose a fortune!"

Sheng Ju, however, looked grave. “That small piece of land is too close to Lingshan… If I had known, I should have just left it as an add-on. It would have been better to leave it undeveloped than for it to fall into the hands of someone else.”

He has always been very cautious in his work and likes to take things one step at a time; otherwise, he wouldn't have achieved such great success today.

"What's there to be afraid of!" Sheng Yu said, "It's just a little bit, what tricks can she possibly pull?"

Sheng Ju seemed thoughtful and said in a low voice, "We still need to be careful. We're going to develop Lingshan soon, so let's not let the filth there tarnish Lingshan's good reputation."

"Haha!" Sheng Yu patted her round belly and laughed triumphantly, "As soon as the news spread, a lot of people rushed over to congratulate us, and another lot of people were drooling over to come and discuss cooperation."

Sheng Ju smiled slightly, a low chuckle playing on his lips.

“I was still hesitant. If the Ming family insisted on fighting to the end and the price exceeded 7.5 billion, then we would stop competing with them. Unexpectedly, your mother suddenly called and said that the family's Buddhist altar was suddenly shining with golden light, which is a very auspicious sign.”

"Dad, didn't I tell you already? Lingshan is a treasure trove!" Sheng Yu said happily. "If we can buy it, we'll make a fortune! Look, even Buddha has shown us the way!"

Sheng Ju smiled and said, "Fortunately, we had divine guidance, otherwise I would have hesitated. Although it was more than a billion more expensive than expected, in the end everyone was happy."

Sheng Yu patted her big belly and suggested with a smile, "Dad, the end of the year is auspicious, why don't we take this opportunity to lay the foundation stone and start the project?"

“No rush.” Sheng Ju said in a low voice, “Next year will also be a good year. We need to slow down, ask the relevant people to do some design work, and then lay the foundation stone and start construction.”

“I’ll take care of this!” Sheng Yu raised her chin and said, “I already had someone take care of it. Dad and Mom said that there’s a Buddha’s Birthday at the end of the year, so why don’t we lay the foundation stone on Buddha’s Birthday? We are guided by the Buddha’s grace, so choosing Buddha’s Birthday is the most appropriate thing to do.”

"Alright." Sheng Ju nodded in satisfaction.

Just then, Sheng Yu's phone rang.

He scooped it up, glanced at it, and then grinned lecherously.

"Dad, I have to go out—"

"Stop getting involved in scandals with those shady celebrities!" Sheng Ju glared at him and said in a deep voice, "You're already in your thirties. You should settle down and focus on starting your own business instead of having a heart full of philandering thoughts all the time."

Sheng Yu chuckled, "Don't worry! Your son knows what's important!"

"Stop grinning at me!" Sheng Ju glared at his big belly and said irritably, "How many times have I told you to lose weight? You're so young and you're already as fat as a pig!"

"I'm leaving!" Sheng Yu said angrily as she stormed downstairs.

Sheng Ju frowned helplessly, got up and went back to his room.

Unexpectedly, his wife Chen Juan was not in the room, so he had to go around to the small Buddhist shrine at the back.

In recent years, my wife has become superstitious and worships Buddha. She chants scriptures and prays to Buddha at home every day, and has even started to eat vegetarian food like a monk.

He was too busy coveting the eldest son's property to pay any attention to her and went with her.

These past few years have been smooth sailing for our family, with everything going well. My wife always says it's thanks to her vegetarianism and Buddhist practices.

He didn't take it seriously, but unexpectedly, at this crucial moment, the Buddhist altar in his home suddenly shone with dazzling golden light, giving him vital guidance!

Perhaps, he should learn from his wife and pray to Buddha more often in the future.
