Chapter 176 The Distant Petty Man

Around noon, the RV finally arrived at the coastal city of Joe in Country N.

Sheng Xuan quickly got out of the car, bought a local tourist map, and circled all the dozen or so hotels and guesthouses in the small town.

Yuan Heng was dizzy from the bumpy ride, so he found a beverage shop, bought two cups of milk tea, and sipped them down.

Sheng Xuan circled the area with his pen and explained, "This small town is located on the southern coast. A few years ago, it started promoting semi-island cultural tourism. Three large hotels were built along the coast, and the environments are all very nice. Let's go to the first one; this hotel is right next to the beach."

Yuan Heng handed him a cup of milk tea, squinted, and asked, "It looks quite high-end. A-Lang might not like it."

The two had been best friends for many years, and he knew Ning Lang well, knowing that she didn't like such glittering and luxurious hotels.

Sheng Xuan took the milk tea and sipped most of it in one go.

"If she doesn't like it, then Jiang Lirong definitely will."

Yuan Heng raised an eyebrow in confusion and asked, "You know him well? I've met him a few times, just exchanged greetings, but I feel that this guy isn't as simple as he seems on the surface; he seems to be very good at hiding his true intentions."

"Hmph!" Sheng Xuan snorted lightly. "He was promoted by the Ming family. The Ming family was a nouveau riche for the first twenty years, and the children they raised all had the air of nouveau riche. Jiang Lirong studied law and was more reserved, but deep down he was very similar to the other members of the Ming family."

Several years ago, he heard that someone in Country N was pursuing Ning Lang relentlessly, and that's when he started paying attention to Jiang Lirong.

Yuan Heng rolled his eyes, somewhat incredulous.

"Really? That's hard to believe! But Ming Haoyuan does match what you said. He's generous and extravagant, and he likes to do the most expensive and luxurious things. He's got the air of a nouveau riche from head to toe."

Sheng Xuan chuckled and got back into the car first, pressing the accelerator again.

Yuan Heng lazily climbed into the passenger seat, fastened his seatbelt, and continued sipping his sweet milk tea.

Sheng Xuan frowned and said irritably, "Don't buy me this overly sweet stuff next time! It's so disgusting to drink!"

"If you're feeling unwell, don't drink. Why are you making yourself suffer like this?" Yuan Heng scoffed, "Drink it or don't, it's up to you!"

Sheng Xuan shifted gears and stepped on the gas, moving forward.

"Let me take this opportunity to remind you: if you like Dean Shan, then don't get too close to that guy Ming Haoyuan."

Yuan Heng rolled his eyes suspiciously. "I've only known him for a few months, and we've only met about ten times in total. Where did you get the idea that we're close?"

"What did that guy call you earlier? Little Hengheng? Ugh!" Sheng Xuan rolled her eyes.

"Get lost!" Yuan Hengjun's face flushed slightly, and he said in a furious and gruff voice, "I guess that guy likes to use reduplicated sounds! Next time I'll warn him not to shout like that. You shut up, or I'll beat you to death!"

Sheng Xuan was not afraid of threats at all, and said in a deep voice: "Ming Haoyuan is a scoundrel, he has bad character, and he even dares to touch drugs. What's more disgusting is that he is bisexual and has even kept a gigolo and cheated on him in public. He looks very young, but his heart is dirty. I'm warning you, stay away from that guy."

"Really?" Yuan Heng's eyes widened in surprise: "He—you can't judge a book by its cover!"

After spending a lot of time with Sheng Xuan, he realized that he wasn't the kind of big-mouthed man who would just spout nonsense.

Sheng Xuan is an upright and honest man who speaks his mind and is the kind of man who disdains lying.

Yuan Heng nodded, "Don't worry, I understand the principle of staying close to virtuous people and avoiding petty people."

Sheng Xuan was anxiously looking for Ning Lang and had no interest in continuing the topic. After hearing that he understood, he was too lazy to bother with it anymore.
