Chapter 69 Stomach Ache

Ning Lang's ability to consistently rank first and be a top student is due not only to her intelligence but also, and perhaps more importantly, to her hard work.

She was the first student to arrive and the last to leave in the class, never wasting a single moment of study time.

Unlike Sheng Xuan, who was a poor student, he was always late or left early, and occasionally even climbed over the wall to wander off the campus, showing no concept of studying at all.

As usual, he swaggered forward, about to grab his schoolbag and leave—but Ning Lang stopped him.

Sheng Xuan snapped angrily, "What?!"

The girl in front of me was sixteen or seventeen years old, with a face full of collagen, so tender that you could almost squeeze water out of it.

However, her sweet appearance and personality are worlds apart.

She glared at him and snorted, "Where's your homework? You're the only one in the class who hasn't handed it in. The homeroom teacher said today that from now on, anyone who doesn't hand in their homework will have to copy it a hundred times, no matter the subject or the number of questions!"

Sheng Xuan frowned and asked, "Why is there homework again? How annoying!"

Ning Lang patted the large stack of homework on the desk and said, "You're the only one in the class who hasn't handed in your English and math homework. I'm going to take it to the teacher's office. If you don't hand it in now, you can copy it a hundred times tomorrow and then hand it in yourself."

"No!" Sheng Xuan was startled, and immediately lost his appetite, quickly sitting down. "Wait for me for three minutes!"

Just copy it down now, and you won't have to write it a hundred times until your hand aches tomorrow. Anyone with common sense knows which option to choose.

He rummaged through his English workbook haphazardly, asking as he looked for a pen, "What's the English homework today?"

Ning Lang ignored him and buried her head in her work.

Sheng Xuan realized she hadn't brought her English textbook, so she simply grabbed one from the pile of homework in front of her, opened it, and quickly started drawing.

Unexpectedly, after copying page after page, there were still three pages left!

"Damn it! Why all those tenses? And so many examples, it's giving me a headache!"

"Holy crap! What is this? Future tense and perfect tense—what the hell is this?! Isn't this driving me crazy?"

"This word is so long! It's so hard to write!"

Ning Lang snapped at him impatiently, "Shut up! Can you please stop your incessant chatter? It's so noisy!"

Her stomach seemed to be aching with hunger, and she couldn't wait for this guy to hand in his homework so she could rush home for dinner after finishing her errand with the teacher.

My stomach hurts so much! It's all that jerk's fault!

He always hands in his homework late, I really want to punch him!

Sheng Xuan glanced at her fair and youthful face and gave her a funny face without any politeness.

"My mouth is on my own face, what's it to you whether I say it or not! I'm going to say it anyway, what's it to you?!"

Ning Lang raised his fist, glared, and sneered, "I can't control what others do, but my fists can. How about it? Want to try one more time?"

Sheng Xuan rolled her eyes, then shamelessly buried her head and continued writing in a sullen voice.

His skills are still inferior to hers; he'll definitely get beaten up again soon.

Forget it, a wise man doesn't fight a losing battle. He'll settle the score with her properly once he's stronger!

Ning Lang, standing to the side, turned pale and slowly withdrew his hand, unconsciously touching his lower right abdomen.

"hiss……"

For some reason, I started experiencing sharp, stabbing pains in my stomach. They came on suddenly and felt so intense that even the tips of my hair hurt!

Despite the freezing weather, her forehead was covered in cold sweat, and her face was as white as paper.

Sheng Xuan finally noticed something was wrong, and was so startled that he threw the pen in his hand away!

"Hey? What's wrong?"

Ning Lang slumped onto the desk in pain, groaning softly.

"My stomach hurts so badly..."
