Two weeks later, the advertising company, which had been in preparation for a long time, finally opened smoothly.
Ning Lang was always a low-key person, so he only ordered one large cake and that was it.
Yuan Heng couldn't stand it, so he personally went to the flower shop to order several large flower baskets to add a touch of joy.
The flower basket was delivered, but when he tried to pay the florist, the card kept saying it couldn't be used, so he simply switched to another credit card.
"Sir, your bank card must be quite old, right?" The waiter smiled and returned the card with both hands.
Yuan Heng was slightly taken aback, then gave a wistful smile.
"I almost forgot, I got a new card recently, and the balance was transferred to the new card as well."
He's had this card for almost twenty years. He lost it by accident on campus, and that person picked it up.
Not only did she pick it up, she chased after him for quite a distance until she caught up with him, asking in a tone that was both reproachful and mocking, "You don't even want the money?"
He was completely stunned, blushing and stammering as he thanked her, even buying her five cups of coffee at the nearby cafe...
Thinking of this, Yuan Heng couldn't help but laugh.
He carefully stroked the card several times, then treasured it and put it into the bottom of his wallet before turning around and leaving the flower shop with a dashing air.
The waitresses arranging the flowers behind them had their eyes light up and were whispering to each other.
"Oh my god! What a handsome guy! He's so tall and thin, and those long legs are amazing!"
"Is he a celebrity? He looks so elegant and stylish! My heart almost jumped out of my chest when he smiled just now!"
"Really? He seems to be smiling with a kind of helpless expression!"
"Whether he's helpless or not, his smile is just so incredibly handsome!"
The person who had been praised for being incredibly handsome drove aimlessly around the city.
It wasn't until the sports car slowly came to a stop that he realized with horror that he had unknowingly arrived at the entrance of "Single Heart Hospital"!
Good heavens! Has he gone mad?!
Why come here of all places!
He jolted upright, frantically shifting gears, about to reverse away—when suddenly, a tall, slender figure slowly walked out of the hospital.
Yuan Heng blinked. "Huh? Isn't that A-Lang?"
Although she was wearing large sunglasses and her style of dress was quite different from usual, he still recognized her at a glance, given that they had been best friends for many years.
He shifted gears again, and the sports car quickly changed direction, slowly driving forward and lowering the window.
"Hey beautiful, wanna go for a drive with me?"
Ning Lang paused, then smiled slightly.
"It's windy from the northwest today, it's a bit too cold."
The sports car stopped, and she got in.
The two asked in unison, "What are you doing here?"
Yuan Heng chuckled awkwardly, his eyes darting around. "I... just happened to be passing by."
Ning Lang's eyes darted around behind his sunglasses. "An old classmate of mine is sick and hospitalized, so I came to visit."
Yuan Heng circled the steering wheel, asking curiously, "Isn't today the company's opening day? Why are you visiting someone in the middle of the day? Why didn't you drive yourself? Where are you going?"
"Back to the company," Ning Lang replied. "There was only a simple ceremony this morning, and nothing much to do at noon, so I came over while I had some free time. The sun is strong at noon, so it's not so cold. Parking is difficult here, so I took a taxi. There's a celebration tonight, and I have to go help with the preparations."
Yuan Heng glanced at her suspiciously, "Isn't it just the beginning of winter? The high today is still 20 degrees Celsius! Why are you suddenly feeling cold? You're even wearing a big sweater!"
Ning Lang tugged at the hem of her sweater and explained, "I have a bit of a cold, it's better to wear more clothes."
“You’ve always been in great shape.” Yuan Heng couldn’t help but feel sorry for you. “You’ve probably been too busy lately, and your immunity has dropped.”
