Chapter 177 Unwilling to Talk

Joey City isn't big, and Sheng Xuan quickly found the seaside hotel using the map.

Yuan Heng looked around and whistled.

"Sunshine, beaches, waves, bikini-clad beauties, and fine wine—that's the right way to start a vacation."

Sheng Xuan ignored him completely, abandoned the RV, and rushed into the hotel reception.

Yuan Heng followed slowly behind, leisurely observing the opulent and extravagant design of the lobby's golden splendor.

Sheng Xuan asked the staff directly about the room where Jiang Lirong was staying.

The staff member nodded politely, checked the computer, and quickly explained with a smile, "Mr. Jiang is staying in suite 2111 on the top floor."

Sheng Xuan nodded his thanks, then turned and strode toward the elevator.

"Wow!" Yuan Heng laughed, "You guessed quite accurately! I didn't expect Jiang Lirong to actually like such a luxurious gold color scheme!"

Sheng Xuan stepped into the elevator and pressed the button for the 21st floor.

"To understand a person, you need to understand their family and background, and it's best to understand their life experiences. This will make your assessment of them more accurate."

Yuan Heng raised an eyebrow and nodded with admiration.

It was midday, the sun was shining brightly outside, and there were hardly any people going in or out of the elevator. The two of them went straight up to the top floor.

I knocked on the door, but there was no response.

Sheng Xuan was slightly annoyed and knocked again.

Yuan Heng couldn't help but ask, "What if he's not here? Do you have his phone number?"

"What would I do with his phone number!" Sheng Xuan said in a deep voice. "You have to show your room key to enter and exit this hotel. If he wasn't here, the lobby staff would have reminded us downstairs already."

After he finished speaking, he pounded on the door.

After a while, the door finally opened.

Jiang Lirong was wearing a bathrobe, his hair was a little messy, his face was ashen, and his eyes were glazed with sleep. He raised his eyebrows in surprise, then his face darkened.

Sheng Xuan got straight to the point: "Mr. Jiang, hello. We're here to see Langlang."

Yuan Heng forced a polite smile.

Jiang Lirong glared coldly at Sheng Xuan, his voice slightly annoyed.

"I'm on vacation in Country N alone. How would I know where she is!"

Sheng Xuan smiled coldly: "Then may I ask if you have seen her? When did you see her?"

"No," Jiang Lirong said calmly.

Yuan Heng said with a forced smile, "Mr. Jiang, we have a very, very urgent matter to discuss with A Lang. We would be extremely grateful if you could tell us her whereabouts truthfully."

Jiang Lirong lowered his eyes slightly, his expression indifferent.

“If she wants you to know, she will naturally contact you. If she doesn’t want to see you, especially certain people, then even if I tell her the truth, she won’t see you. As a friend, I should respect her wishes.”

Sheng Xuan's eyes flickered slightly, and he immediately realized that he really knew Ning Lang's whereabouts.

"Mr. Jiang, this hotel is right by the sea, the scenery must be quite nice, right? I heard there was a typhoon here a few days ago, you're staying so high up, you shouldn't have been affected, right?"

Jiang Lirong stared warily at Sheng Xuan, his grip on the door frame tightening unconsciously.

After a moment's thought, he calmly said in a deep voice, "The typhoon isn't big; it won't have much of an impact."

Yuan Heng was extremely anxious when he saw that Jiang Lirong refused to tell the truth.

The two of them had been busy for more than half a month, traveling almost all over the world. They finally had a clue, and he couldn't give up like this.

Some illnesses become more dangerous with each day of delay, and he didn't want Ning Lang to keep putting it off like this. What if a minor illness turned into a major one...? He couldn't even imagine it!

Yuan Heng quickly lost his patience and said gruffly, "Jiang Lirong! If you consider A Lang a friend, then tell us where she is right now!"
