Without hesitation, Cheng Yan nodded and said, "Go ahead... If you don't come tonight, you'll really be eating alone..."
Cheng Yan's teasing made Jian He feel embarrassed.
She lowered her head, looking nervous and not daring to say anything more.
Half an hour later, they arrived at the address Ye Duoduo had given them.
This is a manor. After Jian He parked the car in the parking lot, she went to the manor's hall. Before she even entered, Ye Duoduo rushed out from inside. When she saw Jian He and Cheng Yan standing together, the usually carefree Ye Duoduo suddenly opened her mouth into an "o" shape.

Since marrying Yin Muqiao, Jian He has rarely gone out for social events. She doesn't know many of the wealthy young ladies in Nanluo City, but Ye Duoduo, who is always good at socializing, knows quite a few of them.
She pulled Jian He along and introduced her to various things.
Just then, a man in a suit, leading a woman in formal attire, appeared at the party.
Jian He took one look and realized that the exquisitely dressed woman was none other than Wu Hua. How could she have hooked up with a man who seemed to be a powerful figure in just a few days?
Jian He couldn't help but curse inwardly, "Sure enough, a woman with a loose belt will thrive anywhere."
Wu Hua also saw Jian He. When their eyes met, Wu Hua couldn't help but feel nervous, but she quickly regained her composure.
The man led Wu Hua and greeted everyone.
"Dear bosses, I'm sorry for being late. There was a bit of traffic on the way... I'll punish myself with three drinks in a bit, and then I'll have my newly signed artist, Ms. Xixi, dance for everyone."
Wu Hua quickly followed behind the man, greeting everyone in the same manner as an ancient brothel madam leading her girls to promote their wares.
Jian He moved closer to Ye Duoduo and asked her, "Duoduo, who is that man?"

After hearing Ye Duoduo's explanation, Jian He let out a long "oh".
Ye Duoduo pressed her for details: "What's wrong? Do you know her?"

Ye Duoduo was chivalrous. When she heard that Wu Hua had cheated on Jian He, she was furious and insisted on going up to tear Wu Hua apart for Jian He.

She decided to put up with it as long as Wu Hua didn't come looking for her.
Dai Wei led Wu Hua, holding a wine glass, and toasted with each of the men. For the sake of her future, Wu Hua was really willing to go all out. She drank several glasses of red wine in a row, and before long, her face turned red.
After exchanging pleasantries with the men for a while, Cheng Yan came to Jian He's side and stayed with her.
The two sat very close, occasionally leaning in to whisper in each other's ears. When Cheng Yan looked at Jian He, he always had a very doting look in his eyes.
Jian He seemed to really enjoy this feeling; she felt sweet inside, and her gaze towards Cheng Yan softened slightly.
Wu Hua was very uninhibited. She accompanied those powerful men and drank quite a lot of wine. Before long, she began to stagger.
Soon, she arrived in front of Jian He and Cheng Yan. When she saw Cheng Yan standing right next to Jian He, Wu Hua's feelings became complicated.
Her boss, Dai Wei, received a phone call while he was taking her upstairs, saying that Cheng Yan had also arrived.
While in the elevator, Dai Wei told her that Cheng Yan was a very prestigious person, and if she had the chance, she should try to get close to Cheng Yan. If Cheng Yan even glanced at her, she would have a chance to rise to prominence.
While they were drinking, she originally wanted to clink glasses with Cheng Yan, but Cheng Yan didn't even glance at her and turned to Jian He's side.
