"Excuse me, sir, is this Fox Mountain?" Johnny asked tentatively.
"Indeed! Sir, you are quite insightful. If I am correct, the arrival of the space-time passage and the appearance of the ruins a few days ago should have something to do with you."
"I did enter the time and space channel by mistake, but I don't know much about the ruins. I wonder if you can help me solve this puzzle." The biggest secret was actually discovered by someone. Johnny made up his mind and just told it. There was no point in confronting him. Zhang Xiaofan was really a good person.
"No hurry, wait until you have something to eat, and then I'll show you around Huqi Mountain and clear up your confusion."
North of Gushan Temple and west of Jiating, the water surface is just beginning to level off and the clouds are low.
Early orioles are competing for the warm trees, and new swallows are pecking at the spring mud.
The flowers are so beautiful that they are dazzling, and only the shallow grass can hide the horse's hooves.
I love walking along the white sand embankment in the shade of green willows on the east side of the lake.
Johnny didn't want to be a cultural carrier, but he couldn't resist Zhang Xiaofan's repeated requests and recited the whole poem.
"The word 'chaotic' and the word 'shallow' vividly depict the word 'early'. The wording is exquisite. It is really a rare good poem!" Zhang Xiaofan, who is obsessed with poetry, carefully appreciates Bai Juyi's "Spring Tour on Qiantang Lake".
"Le Tian's poems are written in plain and simple language, fresh and natural, with profound emotions that touch the heart and spleen. They are given shape by objects and fill everything." After reciting the poems, Johnny didn't mind saying a few more words to get closer to him, so he took out some of the appreciations in his memory and shared them with Zhang Xiaofan.
Not long after, the little girl Nuanshu returned with some packed food. Zhang Xiaofan reluctantly came to his senses, took the food from Nuanshu, and placed it on the stone table in the middle of the pavilion: a lotus leaf chicken, three steamed buns, and a large bowl of vegetable and tofu soup.
"Mr. Shi is already hungry, so please eat quickly. I will appreciate this poem for a while." After he finished speaking, he disappeared.
The fragrance of lotus leaves and the aroma of chicken filled his face. Johnny, with an empty stomach, could no longer bear the food. He tore off a chicken leg with one hand and picked up a steamed bun with the other, and began to devour it with relish.
Nuanshu didn't leave with Zhang Xiaofan, but sat down nearby, eyeing Johnny with curiosity. This was her first time meeting someone outside the village, and it was completely different from what the village storyteller had told her. Early orioles vie for the warm trees, while new swallows peck at the spring mud. My name is mentioned in the poem, too. When my ancestor returns, I'll tell her about it. Thinking of this, she couldn't help but laugh.
After a while of wolfing down his food, Johnny finally slowed down with a full stomach. He took a sip of the vegetable and tofu soup, looked at the silly and giggling little girl Nuanshu, and asked, "What are you so happy about?"
Hearing Johnny's question, Nuan Shu stood up and bowed to him, then replied respectfully: "In reply to Mr. Shi, because my name is in that amazing poem!"
"How polite! Please sit down. This is your village. I should be the one to be reserved. And thank you for bringing me some delicious food. You're such a big help!" Johnny patted his stomach and added, "I feel much more at ease now."
Nuanshu bowed and then sat back on the stone bench.
As the saying goes, a person who eats a meal should be grateful, and a person who takes a meal should be grateful. Nuan Shu is so well-behaved and cute. Johnny swallowed a mouthful of soup, thought for a while, and made up his mind. He said to Nuan Shu, "Since you like it so much, I will tell you another poem with your name on it. Good poems come in pairs."
"Really? Really?" Before he finished speaking, the person arrived.
For a moment, Johnny felt a green light flickering in Nuanshu's eyes. Looking at Nuanshu again, she was no longer the obedient girl she had been. With incredible speed, she grabbed her sleeve with one hand and grabbed a brush she had taken out from nowhere with the other. A piece of white paper had appeared on the stone table where the food was placed.
Who rules the garden on a sunny day in spring? The warm rhythm whispers, the valley is warm, and the orioles dance, freshly migrating to the fragrant trees. See the dew-soaked golden clothes, the leaves reflecting the words like a reed. At dawn, the branches are swaying softly, as if whispering their fragrant hearts and deep thoughts.
There is no evidence. Warm smoke suddenly appears, then flies away like a wandering bee. Their wild tracks, two by two, call to each other, all morning long, the fog sings and the wind dances. When the willows in the Upper Garden are lush, the flowers in the guesthouse are deep. At this moment, the seagulls are particularly abundant, all sharing their youthful time.
Somehow, ever since crossing over, Johnny had a vivid memory of what he'd read. Liu Yong's poem "Yellow Oriole: Whose Master Is the Garden on a Sunny Day in Spring?" was mentioned in a book he'd read a few years earlier called "The Sword Comes." It also featured a lovely little girl named Nuanshu, the housekeeper of Luopu Mountain, whose understanding was heartbreaking.
After Johnny finished reciting it, he found Nuanshu looking at him aggrievedly. The white paper was also empty. He asked, "What's wrong?"
"Sir, I can't write. I don't know which word it is."
"Haha, give me the pen." No matter how powerful she is, she is still a little girl after all. This time it seems much more real, visible and tangible.
"Mr. Shi is indeed a genius!"
Johnny naturally had no idea when Zhang Xiaofan appeared behind him. After all, such a master would come and go without a trace.
He handed the pen to Nuan Shu, then turned to Zhang Xiaofan and said, "Hello, Mr. Zhang. I wonder if Mr. Zhang could help me clear up some of my doubts."
"Of course. Come with me." Zhang Xiaofan made a gesture of invitation and said to Nuanshu, "Take the other children back to the village later."
After saying that, he threw out the soul-catching fire stick that Johnny was familiar with, pinched his fingers together, and turned it into a size of ten feet, and flew up lightly.
This is an ancient version of a private car. Thinking of this, I stood on it.
The soul-capturing creature slowly rose into the air and flew towards the distant Fox Mountain.
