Chapter 11 08.21/My fiancée wants to smell her perfume.

Good news, Fan Tingnian has only watched two episodes and hasn’t seen the kissing scene yet.

Bad news, Fan Tingnian is addicted to it and wants to continue watching it tomorrow.

Chu Song half-knelt beside the coffee table and unplugged the computer. "Ah?" she exclaimed. She lowered her eyes and saw Fan Tingnian's forearm resting on the armrest of the sofa.

He was used to wearing soft shirts, and today was no exception. The light grey sleeves were rolled up, revealing his arms with perfect lines. His muscles were firm, the kind that didn't look bulky but could perfectly hold up the clothes. On the inside of his arms, one could see the faintly protruding blue veins, which were very tense, much better than the male protagonist in the TV series just now.

Chu Song was curious as to why an artist like him could have such a good figure, and asked Sophie in a roundabout way. Sophie said that Fan Tingnian was a mixed-race person with good genes, and he was extremely restrained in eating. He would occasionally exercise, twice a week, which was not too frequent.

Well, Chu Song stared at the muscles in his arms and was a little distracted for a moment. It seems that innate conditions play a big role. Comparing yourself with others will make you angry.

Fan Tingnian noticed that she was distracted, and his brown-green eyes looked straight at her. He looked at people with a focused gaze, and many times, if you looked into his eyes for too long, you would feel a little creepy.

"What's wrong?" he asked.

Chu Song's eyes had not yet moved away from Fan Tingnian's arm.

"Let's look at this arm..." Ugh, Chu Song felt that he was really possessed by a ghost, so bold and lustful, "Are you sure you want to watch this TV series tomorrow?"

"Yeah." The man replied.

Well, Chu Song planned to go back and download the next few episodes, otherwise when Fan Tingnian wanted to watch them in a few days, she wouldn’t have them on her computer, and this “difficult to serve” boss would get upset and fire her again.

"What time tomorrow?"

She heard the man ask her this as she stood up.

This was the first time Fan Tingnian took the initiative to ask her about the time. She didn't react at first and was stunned for a moment, then realized that Fan Tingnian was asking her when she would come over tomorrow.

She pondered the time and said, "Seven o'clock in the evening?"

As soon as she finished speaking, she expanded the sentence into a long one, giving Fan Tingnian room to choose: "If you just want to watch a movie, I'll come over at 7 pm. If you still have work that requires my help, I can come earlier, around 2 or 3 pm, just like these past few days."

After she finished speaking, the man fell into long thought.

On the clock on the wall, the minute hand circled the dial twice before Fan Tingnian spoke again.

"I'll meet you here at three."

"Hmm?" Chu Song didn't expect that he really had work that needed her help.

Fan Tingnian gestured to a row of plaster statues on a shelf not far away, his words as concise as ever: "Those need painting, too."

Well, as her free labor.

But... Chu Song raised her eyes and pretended to casually glance at the man's face. She was quite willing to help. They could exchange design drawings. Besides, who wouldn't want to work with a handsome man?

She thought again of Fan Tingnian's arm that had just been placed on the armrest.

They were watching a movie just now and were sitting on the same sofa. When Fan Tingnian stood up to get the projector remote control, his sleeve brushed against her knee. The distance was too close and the light was dim, so she blushed and her heart skipped a beat.

"Okay, I'll come on time at three o'clock in the afternoon." She stuffed the computer into her computer bag and stood up with the bag.

Fan Tingnian has a very healthy schedule and eats breakfast on time at 8 o'clock every day. She finally doesn't have to observe Fan Tingnian while he eats, so she simply doesn't set the alarm the next day and wants to sleep in.

However, at 7:50, she was woken up by Sophie's call again.

The tone and questions were the same as in the previous few days, asking her if she still wanted to drink grape juice for breakfast today.

I stayed up late again the day before Chu Song and haven't woken up yet.

Having lived here for ten days, she was no longer as respectful to everyone as she was at the beginning, and felt much more at ease.

She slowly sat up from the bed and rubbed her eyes. "Mr. Fan, are you still drinking grape juice today?"

Sophie glanced in Fan Tingnian's direction and said, "That's right."

Chu Song said "Oh—" but she really didn't want to get up early to eat today. She lowered her voice and asked Sophie carefully, "It's for drinking, but I want to go over later. If it's a waste to squeeze only one cup of juice, you can use the leftovers to squeeze an extra cup and I'll go over to drink it later."

Sophie's eyes fell on the man who was eating breakfast elegantly not far away. After a few seconds, she replied, "Okay."

Chu Song was extremely grateful: "Thank you, thank you."

Sophie hung up the phone, hung the communication device back on the wall, and walked back to the dining table.

She picked a few "handsome" asparagus with tongs and put them on a plate, then placed the plate next to Fan Tingnian's right hand. Then she took two steps back, clasped her hands in front of her, ready to serve at any time.

Fan Tingnian glanced at the asparagus beside him and did not hear Sophie's reply.

He frowned, pulled out a tissue, and slowly wiped his lips: "What did she say?"

This young master had a very strange personality. Sophie didn't understand why he had been asking Chu Song to come over for dinner so often these days.

"Miss Chu Song said she wants to come back later. If the freshly squeezed juice is wasted, you can squeeze an extra cup and leave it there. She will come later."

After Sophie finished speaking, she saw Fan Tingnian's brows furrowed.

He is showing his emotions on his face now. If he frowns, it means he is very unhappy.

Sophie looked at his expression, considering whether to call Chu Song again and ask her if she wanted to come for dinner.

Fan Tingnian put down the fork in his right hand, leaned back, raised his left hand, and hooked his index finger on the collar that was not tied tightly.

He felt very strange.

He felt that Chu Song's perfume smelled quite pleasant, and he felt a little uncomfortable when he couldn't smell it recently, like now.

He sat quietly for two minutes, then looked at his watch.

The hour hand on the dial, which was inlaid with a circle of sparkling gems, stopped at eight. It was just ten past eight. There were still seven hours before I could smell her perfume.

He was silent for a long time. Sophie thought that the food today was not to his liking and walked over to him. "Do you want the kitchen to change some dishes?"

Fan Tingnian didn't seem to hear her, and just asked, "Is there any perfume or fragrance in the castle?"

Sophie was stunned for a moment, then lowered her head and replied, "No, you are sensitive to smells. Steward Wan Ting issued an order a long time ago that these things would not be equipped in the castle."

"Well," Fan Tingnian picked up the cutlery again, "go buy some."

"I want a fruity scent."

Chu Song slept until half past nine, then packed up his things, ran to the bathroom to wash up, took ten minutes to get ready, and rushed to the restaurant on the second floor in five minutes. He jogged all the way and finally arrived at the "battlefield" fifteen minutes before closing time.

Because of the grape juice, she did not go to the staff restaurant, but came to the place where Fan Tingnian usually ate. When she knocked on the door and walked into the room, she found that Sophie was still waiting for her.

"Aunt Sophie." She adjusted her crooked bun on the back of her head and bent over to greet her politely.

Sophie was over fifty and had always been kind to her, a genial elder.

Sophie brought the meal to her with a kind smile on her face: "I prepared your favorite apple pie for you."

Chu Song was starving from all the sleep he had received. He smelled the aroma of apple pie just as he was at the door. He took a few steps closer and saw the golden apple pie on the plate, which made his stomach growl with greed.

She walked over quickly, sat down, and picked up her fork: "Mr. Fan, have you already eaten?"

"Yes," Sophie said, helping her get the reserved grape juice. "We left at half past eight."

Chu Song nodded, stuffed a piece of apple pie into his mouth, and ate it with relish.

Sophie thought of Fan Tingnian's expression when he was here just now. He had been asking Chu Song to come over for dinner recently, and he was particularly interested in perfume and fragrance.

She was over fifty years old and was sensitive and insightful about many things. She felt that Fan Tingnian's poor mood and appetite seemed to be related to Chu Song.

Like Wan Ting, she is half the elder of Fan Tingnian.

When the plate landed in front of Chu Song again, she said, "The master seems to be ill."

“Hmm?” Chu Song, still half-heartedly swallowing the apple pie in his mouth, raised his head and answered, “What’s wrong?”

Sophie felt that if Fan Tingnian was just in a bad mood, she could ask Chu Song to go and take a look. This request was a bit of an overreaction. After thinking about it, she changed her approach.

"Maybe he's sick. He didn't eat much today."

"Ah? What's wrong?"

Sophie sighed, "The weather has been getting colder recently. It could be a cold, or it could be a fever. Wan Ting is not here, so I can't leave and it's not easy to go over and ask."

Sophie: "Could you please go see him after dinner?"
