Chapter 62 09.25/Is Erzeng pursuing me?
Song Huinan said this as he walked in carrying a bottle of wine.
Although his clothes were a little disheveled, the blush on his face was not obvious, and his speech was clear and logical.
He was a former leader. When he suddenly walked into the room, several people standing at the door, including employees' family members and students who were still in internship, were a little stunned for a moment, and no one stopped him.
Song Huinan walked in, placed the beer bottle he was carrying on the table, and glanced at the still-lit screen diagonally in front of him. "What? A dinner party? You're not inviting me?"
There was a girl sitting on the sofa to Chu Song's left. She frowned and whispered, "Why hire him? Hasn't he been fired?"
Two boys in the group walked up to him and tried to stop him, but they still kept up appearances and called him the leader.
Song Huinan waved the two boys away with one hand and shouted, "What leader? I'm not your leader."
He raised his hand and pointed at Chu Song, who was not far away: "Don't you recognize that leader?"
One of the boys staggered after being pushed by him and took two steps back. He walked up to him again and tried to pull his arm.
Song Huinan said impatiently: "Get up! I know you. Isn't your advisor's last name Li? Do you still want to graduate?"
Chu Song stood up from his seat, walked around the sofa and went out. Before he reached Song Huinan, Song Huinan turned around, picked up the wine bottle that he had just placed on the coffee table, and put it heavily on the table.
"Team Leader Chu, let's have a couple of drinks together."
Chu Song frowned and gestured towards the door: "You've had too much to drink. We're having a dinner party, and Mr. Song doesn't want to..."
Song Huinan interrupted her in a harsh tone, "Mr. Song, it's alright, Chu Song. You didn't even call me team leader after getting me away. Just Mr. Song. You're really good, Chu Song."
"Then how do you want me to call you? Can you please not get in the way?"
"Because of you, I lost my fucking job," he pointed at the people in the room with his right hand. "You bring your people here to eat and drink the best food, while stepping on me to climb the ladder, don't you think it's good?"
"Okay, have a couple of drinks with me," he pried open the bottle cap, picked up two glasses, poured wine in them and held them up. "Just have a couple of drinks with me. When you were in my group before, you always refused to go to social events with me. What? Are you a rich lady?"
What he said was already very personal. Someone else came up and tried to stop him. Wen Yao had already stood up and came out from behind the coffee table.
"Have a couple of drinks, and don't let me do anything." He looked at Chu Song and raised his voice.
Chu Song raised her hand impatiently to block his hand away. The blocking action annoyed Song Huinan. He grabbed Chu Song's wrist and pulled her closer, then grabbed her right hand and touched the back of her hand.
Wen Yao had already approached and grabbed his collar, trying to pull him back: "Are you sick? It's fine if you're causing trouble, but if you try to take advantage of me, I'll call the police!"
The door of the private room was pushed open again, and a tall man walked in from outside. He took two steps closer, grabbed Song Huinan's collar from Wen Yao's hand, and threw him against the wall on the door side of the KTV.
Song Huinan's footing was originally unstable, and he was thrown out with such force that he fell backwards with a "bang bang" sound and hit a table and chairs.
His back hit the wall hard.
Everyone in the room was stunned for a moment by the loud noise. The first ones to react were the two people closest to the room who had followed Song Huinan.
The two men were also drunk and were about to move forward when they were stopped by Fan Tingnian's driver who followed them in from behind.
Fan Tingnian took two steps forward, without even squatting, and kicked his leg with the tip of his leather shoe.
He lowered his eyes and looked at him. Two seconds later, he asked, "Those things outside, including those that were smashed when we were eating next door last night, were all done by you?"
Song Huinan has been eating and drinking with others around here in recent days, and it is inevitable that there will be friction with others.
But how did he know.
Song Huinan looked up at him. Fan Tingnian's appearance was so unique that he also remembered who he was: "You..."
Fan Tingnian stared at him for a few seconds, and kicked the hand that he had just pulled Chu Song with the tip of his right shoe again, and this time he finally squatted in front of him.
He patted his face with the glove on his right hand and said in a deep voice, "Gathering a crowd to fight, damaging public property, and intentionally injuring people?"
Song Huinan's pupils dilated, and he finally sobered up a little this time.
He drank too much last night and did hurt someone with his friends, but the other party was a young boy and he had no intention of pursuing the matter under their threats.
"I didn't, it was that guy who started it first..."
Fan Tingnian's driver came up from behind and handed him the phone with the surveillance video. Fan Tingnian took it, glanced at it, and then ran his right index finger over it, turning the phone over and motioning towards Song Huinan: "This?"
Song Huinan saw the scene at the entrance of the alley last night. It was him who kicked the boy in the abdomen.
The driver behind Fan Tingnian leaned forward and said, "The injured person has arrived. We have a certificate from the hospital. The police are outside as well."
"Yeah." Fan Tingnian handed the phone back to the driver.
A few minutes later, a group of people came out of the KTV and found that Song Huinan had been taken away by a police car, along with the two men who were traveling with him.
Wen Yao walked beside Chu Song. The colleagues who were close to her behind her tacitly kept silent, while those who were far away exchanged glances with each other, and their eyes fell on Fan Tingnian.
Of course, they all saw him holding Chu Song's hand when they just came out.
At this time, the small group was in an uproar.
[Who is the investor of the exhibition project? ? ? ?]
[It must be him. I remember what he looks like after seeing him once.]
What's his relationship with the team leader? Why did I see him trying to hold the team leader's hand, but the team leader avoided him?
[Underground love?? ! ! ! ! ! !]
[Still chasing me??? Damn, what a perfect man.]
[Damn, damn, damn, damn, what a shocking piece of news!]
[But he's kind of handsome, that shot of Song Gou's face just now, oh my god.]
[Besides, doesn't he have a strong background in this circle? Song Gou really doesn't want to do this anymore.]
[He is C., don’t you know?]
[C.??? Which C.??? The C. I know???]
[Yes, you can see his photo on the museum’s internal website. I remember it was in the news two years ago.]
[Fuck....]
......
Wen Yao glanced ahead, nudged Chu Song with her elbow, and whispered, "Are you going with him?"
Chu Song actually didn't want his colleagues to know about this, but Fan Tingnian had just helped him, and it would be a bit inappropriate to leave him alone now.
She is still very grateful to Fan Tingnian for what happened today.
"Oh, that's fine too." Wen Yao wasn't very clear about what was going on between them, but after what had just happened, she felt that Fan Tingnian seemed okay. "Then you go."
"No need, I'll wait until you finish leaving before I leave." Chu Song checked the taxi interface on her phone.
Ten minutes later, the last colleague got a taxi, and at the same time, the taxi Wen Yao called also arrived.
"Then I'll go first." Wen Yao waved to her.
Chu Song nodded.
Wen Yao made phone calls to her again, glanced at Fan Tingnian's car in the distance, and mouthed to her, "Call me if you have anything."
Chu Song nodded again: "I understand."
Wen Yao's car left, and Chu Song turned and walked towards where Fan Tingnian had parked his car.
She got in the car and closed the door. The sound of traffic on the main road was blocked out and the car became quiet.
Fan Tingnian sat in the driver's seat and glanced at the seat belt on her seat. Chu Song hooked the seat belt with his right hand and buckled it.
She pursed her lips and frowned slightly: "How did you know Song Huinan was nearby last night?"
The car started, and the driver in the driver's seat looked at the front through the window calmly: "The driver who picked you up saw him."
Chu Song thought again of what he had just said to Song Huinan in the private room: "Then you asked the driver to follow him and check the surveillance at the alley entrance?"
"Um."
"Then why are you..."
"What's wrong?" The traffic light was red, and after the car stopped, the driver turned around and looked at her.
Chu Song met his gaze and shook her head: "It's okay."
But Chu Song still felt it was a bit strange. He knew too much about her, and knew everything about the people around her, including Song Huinan's affairs.
This made her feel like she was being watched.
But Fan Tingnian seemed to be doing this for her safety, so she shouldn't be startled. She frowned and looked out the window to the side.
......
The next night after get off work, Fan Tingnian came to pick her up.
When she was almost at her residence, she remembered that her period was about to start and wanted to go to a nearby pharmacy to buy some heating packs.
She is used to putting this thing in her quilt when she goes to bed during her menstrual period. She usually doesn't keep it there all night, and takes it out when her stomach feels hot.
"Tell the servants downstairs to buy it for you." The person in the driving seat put one hand on the steering wheel.
Chu Song shook his head and pointed to the shop on the right side of the road: "No, it's right here. I can buy it there. Besides, I want to choose the one I'm used to."
There are many 24-hour pharmacies like this near the community, but this is the largest one. It should have a complete range of items, like a large supermarket.
The driver glanced sideways and the car slowly stopped.
Chu Song unbuckled his seatbelt and asked him, "Is there anything you want to buy? I can bring it over for you when I get there."
"No." The man glanced at his watch.
"How long will it take?" he asked again, looking up.
He was used to wearing dark clothes. The temperature had dropped in the past two days, so Chu Song wore a light cotton coat. He did the same, changing into a dark gray coat.
The car was warm, his coat had been taken off and placed in the back seat, and he was now wearing a thin black shirt.
"About ten minutes." She was just going to pick a medicine bag, so it wouldn't be too slow.
Fan Tingnian's gaze fell on the car window behind her, and after a moment he responded, "I'll wait for you."
Chu Song opened the car door and walked out.
This store is indeed big, and they do have the heating medicine packs she wants, but the variety is not complete. She is allergic to some of the materials, so she can only ask the clerk if they have the ones she usually uses.
The clerk hesitated and asked her what brand she usually used.
"We have the one you want, but not much left. It's been discontinued recently, so we can't get in."
"How many do you have left?"
The clerk leaned against the counter and recalled: "There are a few more packs. They are in another store. Go through the side door and go about a hundred meters to the side."
The clerk took off his sleeves and said, "Why don't you come with me and take a look? I'm not sure how much is left. Anyway, there are still some, I remember."
Chu Song remembered that there was indeed a store with the same name as this one at the intersection he had just passed.
"Is that store yours too?" Chu Song followed her towards the side door.
The clerk smiled and said, "Yes, there's a lot of competition here, and that location is not good. This place is close to the community, so they opened a big one here."
Chu Song knew they were a chain store: "Business has been really bad lately."
Two minutes later, Chu Song followed her to the store at the intersection. There were indeed some medicine packets left. After confirming, she asked the clerk how many were left.
The clerk checked the computer and said there were more than a dozen packs left. Chu Song said she wanted them all. The clerk said okay and asked another clerk to help her get them from the warehouse.
Because it was an infrequently used medicine, it took some time to search through the warehouse. A few minutes later, another girl came over from the warehouse at the back carrying the box.
She placed the paper box on the glass cabinet, opened it, and checked the integrity of each medicine package for Chu Song.
"That's all? There are thirteen packages in total. I'll pack them for you." The clerk helped her scan the code to pay.
Chu Song put away his phone: "Thank you."
Just as I took the packed bag from the clerk, someone pushed open the glass door and walked in.
The wind chimes on the glass door were blown by the wind, making a crisp sound. Chu Song turned around and saw Fan Tingnian.
The man glanced at her and walked over.
Chu Song was sorting through the packaging bags, wondering, "How did you know I was here?"
