Chapter 193 Rainy Night, Tiger Fights a Pack of Wolves!

The atmosphere suddenly became tense.

Tang Ying gasped for breath. Fear was more deadly than a sword, she told herself, trying to calm her frantic heartbeat.

The rain kept falling.

He Xiao turned around and drew his short sword.

"Forgive me, Your Majesty!" a disciple of Xuanhua Palace cried out.

Before he finished speaking, He Xiao's short sword flashed upwards and struck the man between the eyebrows. "Don't talk too much when you're about to fight!"

With a "whoosh," another Xuanhua Palace disciple drew his weapon.

He Xiao's short sword flashed again, so fast it was blinding.

Tang Ying heard a clatter as the longsword fell onto the stone floor.

"My hand!" the disciple screamed, clutching his severed finger.

"My lord, your martial arts skills are indeed superb!" Qi Ming commented.

"You guys are too slow!" He Xiao retorted.

"Kill him!" Qi Ming ordered.

The six Xuanhua Palace disciples drew their swords, and the one with the severed finger spat and pulled out a dagger with his left hand.

He Xiao gritted his teeth, glided out with nimble steps, and met the enemy from the side.

"Everyone, be careful!" he warned.

Tang Ying walked slowly forward, her hand tightly gripping the short sword.

Seeing He Xiao's stance as he accepted the challenge, she realized that when He Xiao sparred with her earlier, he was merely feeding her moves.

The disciples of Xuanhua Palace, wielding short swords, advanced on He Xiao from three sides. They had practiced martial arts since childhood and were all top experts on this continent.

So He Xiao didn't wait for them to get close before he dodged to the left.

Tang Ying couldn't believe that the Lord could act so quickly.

He blocked one sword with his short sword and dodged the second one by spinning around. The second man lost his balance and stumbled towards the first one. He Xiao kicked him in the back, and the two Xuanhua Palace members fell into a heap.

The third Xuanhua Palace disciple leaped over them and charged forward, swinging his sword toward He Xiao's head.

He Xiao lowered his body and thrust upwards swiftly.

The disciple screamed and fell to the ground; where his left eye had been, there was now only a bloody hole.

The person who fell is preparing to get up.

He Xiao kicked one person in the face, grabbed the person's hair, and then suddenly threw him to the ground.

The man with his right hand crippled lunged at him with a dagger, but He Xiao caught the attack with a backhand sword strike, then stomped on the man's kneecap with a powerful kick.

Another Xuanhua Palace disciple shouted angrily, grabbed his sword with both hands, and charged at him with great force.

He Xiao swiftly dodged to the right, and the man who had been grabbed by the hair and was struggling to his feet was struck dead. The butcher-like slash landed squarely on his shoulder where his neck met his shoulder. The sword shattered the chainmail, leather, and flesh, and the man fell to his knees, screaming in agony.

Before the man who was going to kill him could even draw his sword, He Xiao had already stabbed him in the throat.

The disciple let out a suffocating scream, staggered backward, clutching his neck with both hands, his face ashen.

By the time Tang Ying got closer, the other six disciples had either collapsed and died or were on the verge of death.

She heard Qi Ming curse, "A bunch of useless trash," and then draw his longsword.

He Xiao resumed his fighting stance, his teeth chattering.

“Tang Ying,” He Xiao called out without turning his head, “you should leave now. I don’t want to kill you.” He said loudly.

"Tang Ying, go up and attack his flank!" Qi Ming gave her another person's order.

As Qi Ming spoke, he swung his sword at He Xiao. He Xiao gracefully dodged, and his short sword flashed white light as he attacked Qi Ming.

In the blink of an eye, the short sword pierced Qi Ming's right arm.

Qi Ming ignored his injuries and continued to press forward, forcing He Xiao to retreat.

He blocked one attack, dodged the second sword, and then swung away the third.

Tang Ying sobbed as she took a step forward. She acted, following the ancient precepts of Xuanhua Palace, and swung her sword at He Xiao.

“You…” He Xiao shook his head, “Are you forcing me?”

After slashing several times with his sword, He Xiao suddenly turned around and found more and more Xuanhua Palace disciples appearing.

"You guys? Are you looking for death?" he thought angrily.

He Xiao's heart skipped a beat when he caught a glimpse of the corpse lying on the ground out of the corner of his eye.

"These are all my former subordinates and disciples!"

"No, I can't kill them!" He Xiao thought to himself, "This whole thing has been too strange and bizarre from the very beginning!"

Why did the Faceless God choose this moment to descend upon Mr. Yao?

Why was that order given?

Why must Lin Mo's entire family be killed?

At this moment, he wanted to escape this place temporarily and secretly find out everything.

But the disciples of Xuanhua Palace refused to give up.

He was momentarily stunned, then felt a sharp pain in his back as he was struck by a sword.

He kicked out with one foot, sending the man flying more than ten feet away, where he crashed into another person, killing both instantly.

At this moment, He Xiao was stabbed in the right shoulder, and then stabbed in the right chest.

He roared like a thunderclap, shouting, "Get out of the way, or I'll start a massacre!"

But at this point, the disciples of Xuanhua Palace had already dealt with him, so how could they believe him?

So more than ten people rushed forward.

He Xiao unleashed his divine power, his right hand suddenly shooting out and grabbing a disciple by the waist, lifting him high into the air. The crowd cried out and involuntarily took a few steps back.

The disciple was captured, and despite his superb martial arts skills, his whole body immediately became numb and he could not move at all. He saw that his throat was only a foot away from He Xiao's short sword. He Xiao only needed to push with his left arm or push with his right arm to cut off his head immediately.

He let out a long sigh, closed his eyes, and died.

He Xiao felt a burning pain in the three wounds on his back, right chest, and right shoulder, and said, "Are you all blind? Can't you see the clues?"

With that, he suddenly exerted force and threw the disciple heavily to the ground.
