Luo Yan ignored her and simply said, "All men must die!"
The next second, the door opened by itself.
They open silently inwards, without anyone intervening.
Luo Yan took a step forward, then another. The door closed behind her, and for a moment, she couldn't see.
Several candles burned along the wall, emitting a faint light, so much so that Zhao Zhilan couldn't even see her own feet.
Someone was whispering, but the voice was too soft for her to make out the words.
Someone was crying. She heard soft footsteps, leather scraping against stone, and a door opening and closing.

Zhao Zhilan swallowed hard. "My name is Zhao Zhilan, Princess of Great Xia!"
“Yes,” Luo Yan said, “but Xuanhua Palace cannot accommodate the Great Xia princess!”
"I am a nobody!" Zhao Zhilan immediately changed her tune.
"Oh? You reacted quickly!" Luo Yan smiled. "Are you afraid of dying?"
Zhao Zhilan bit her lip. "No."
“Let’s give it a try,” Luo Yan said, taking out an apple. “Eat it!”
Zhao Zhilan looked closely and saw a white worm wriggling and crawling out of the apple's wormhole.
"Is she trying to scare me?" Zhao Zhilan thought to herself.
So she took the apple and took a bite.
The insect melted away like a phantom, followed by the apple.
Luo Yan smiled with satisfaction. "Are you very hungry?"
“Yes,” Zhao Zhilan replied, “but not food!”
