"Hehe, you summon Sun Wukong, and that high-level god will give you a Satan!" Zhao Wushi laughed.
"Heh he summons Satan, I'll summon the Tongtian Cult Master!"
"Mmm, mmm, mmm! The Supreme God, send out a wave of Jehovah, Gabriel, and Raphael!"
"Don't be afraid! I summon the Jade Pure Primordial Heavenly Venerable, the Supreme Pure Spiritual Treasure Heavenly Venerable, and the Great Pure Moral Heavenly Venerable!" Lin Mo retorted defiantly. "Then we'll stage an epic, unparalleled battle between the Western and Eastern gods."
"Is this kind of bickering fun?" Lin Mo asked. "How old are you? Can't you be serious for once?"
"Let's get serious!" Zhao Wushi said, "We plan to add a demonic attribute to your system! That is, the fifth stage of the system!"
Lin Mo, “???”
"What's the meaning?"
"Simply put, it's the ultimate form of your tyrant mode!" Zhao Wushi told him. "Only in this way can you explain why you can make your soldiers experience the power of faith that brings about miracles."
Lin Mo couldn't help but fall into deep thought.
"The ultimate form of the Tyrant Mode?" he muttered to himself. "I understand. It means making the higher gods believe that I have become mentally unstable due to the corruption of the Tyrant Mode?"
So that's why they'd go through all this ridiculous trouble?
"More or less!" Zhao Wushi said. "Although this explanation has some flaws, it's better than letting the high-level gods associate it with us! After all, with your current strength, you simply can't fight them!"
Without Zhao Wushi's appearance, Lin Mo would definitely have gone further and further down the path of tyrant mode.
If the higher-level gods knew that Lin Mo's actions were performed while maintaining a rational state, it would easily remind them of Zhao Wushi.
"Then, to activate the ultimate form of Tyrant Mode, my mind..."
"You must do your utmost to...restrain your killing!" Zhao Wushi said. "There's not much we can do to interfere in this!"
“That’s right,” the new system said. “And you’d better not use Nightmare Cavalry. They’re powerful, but the corruption they bring is too great…”
"Hehe, you won't even let me use the strongest free unit!" Lin Mo laughed. "Then what improvements will I get in this final form?"
"All your generals and soldiers can be imbued with magic attributes! All abilities will be doubled!"
"This..." Lin Mo exclaimed in surprise, "Demon Xu Chu? Demon Yue Fei? Demon Qin Liangyu? Sounds pretty awesome!"
There's no turning back now!
"Let's do it!" Lin Mo announced.
"Relax, take a deep breath, and we're about to begin!" Zhao Wushi twisted the tree branch, and a vast aura instantly filled the entire Void Realm.
The next instant, a black, misty substance appeared and quickly enveloped Lin Mo's entire body.
"Ouch...it hurts!" Lin Mo screamed in pain.
Suddenly, everything went black before his eyes, and he fainted.
~~~
After a long while.
"Your Majesty? Your Majesty?" Lin Mo felt the voice was so familiar, but who was His Majesty calling?
He opened his eyes groggily.
At first it was completely chaotic, but after a while, the outline of the bed began to vaguely emerge around it.
Although the bed curtains were drawn, he could still see the carved bedposts and the canopy overhead.
"It's my own bed, I'm sleeping in my own bed, this is my bedroom in Beijing!"
Lin Mo woke up slowly, feeling as if he had slept for a very, very long time.
"Your Majesty, you're finally awake." Lin Mo looked up and saw a woman in a long dress calling out to him with concern.
"Ruoxi?" Lin Mo called out instinctively. "What...what exactly happened to you?"
"What? What happened?"
Lin Mo sat up in bed, looking at Sun Ruoxi with disbelief. "How did you get here?"
He regretted asking the question as soon as he finished speaking.
“I am your concubine, isn’t it perfectly normal for me to be in your palace?” Sun Ruoxi said. “And why are you making that face? It’s like I’m a monster!”
Sun Ruoxi looked at Lin Mo with a surprised expression, muttering to herself.
Lin Mo frowned. "Wait a minute," he said, "What 'Your Majesty'? Who are you calling Your Majesty?"
"Your Majesty, what's wrong?" Sun Ruoxi gently touched him. "Don't scare me?"
Just then, the door was gently pushed open. Another familiar woman slowly walked in.
"Has His Majesty suffered another bout of amnesia?" It was Zhao Zhilan's voice, and Lin Mo recognized it.
"Holy crap, Zhao Zhilan? What amnesia? What does that mean?" Lin Mo exclaimed.
"Sigh!" Zhao Zhilan sighed heavily, then walked up to him, touched his forehead, and began to mutter something. "Who are you? Tell me."
"Me? Lin Mo!" Lin Mo replied in surprise.
"Anything else?" Zhao Zhilan asked again.
"I am the Emperor of Great Xia!" Lin Mo blurted out, as a flood of memories suddenly appeared in his mind.
"Thank the gods in heaven, His Majesty is finally back to normal." Sun Ruoxi looked like she was about to cry. "Sister Zhilan, I was so scared just now! I thought His Majesty was going through another bout of confusion!"
"Everything's alright now, isn't it, dear sister?" Zhao Zhilan comforted her.
"Sister? Younger sister?" Lin Mo began frantically searching his memory. "Both of you? You're both my wives?"
"It seems I'm not completely healed yet," Sun Ruoxi sighed softly.
“Your Majesty, both Ruoxi and I are your wives,” Zhao Zhilan explained. “Don’t worry. We don’t get along at all; on the contrary, Ruoxi and I get along very well.”
After Zhao Zhilan finished speaking, she took Sun Ruoxi's hand. The smile on her face showed no sign of insincerity.
