Chapter 333 Old Friends!

A hint of doubt crept into Lin Mo's mind, like a thin mist shrouding his heart. "I suspect you're joking, but I have no proof!" he pondered to himself. "You previously advised me to integrate with them, but now you're telling me to choose to launch a sneak attack at this crucial moment?"

Brother, this guy is their leader!

I need the system's help to defeat Ares.

"Now that I've lost an arm, you expect me to fight the strongest, Mo Qing, one-on-one?"

“When he’s climbing down, launch a sneak attack. Are you afraid you can’t beat him?” Zhao Wushi’s voice continued.

"Holy crap!" Lin Mo was completely stunned. "Even if the sneak attack succeeds, what happens after that?"

They blindfolded me when they came, and I made my way here in complete darkness.

Surrounded by this strange and eerie place, without a map or a reliable guide, how am I supposed to find my way out?

Just as I was feeling confused and helpless, a thought suddenly flashed through my mind.

"Wait a minute!" Lin Mo thought to himself, "This suggestion looks like a trap!"

"Although Zhao Wushi always likes to help me in some bizarre ways, this time it seems a bit too much, completely deviating from our original plan. This so-called 'sneak attack' suggestion, no matter how you look at it, reeks of..."

Lin Mo shook his head, trying to sort out his chaotic thoughts.

Suddenly, he realized something.

"A sneak attack? No, absolutely not!" Lin Mo murmured to himself, "I sincerely want to correct my mistakes and wholeheartedly serve the gods!"

After speaking, the voice disappeared.

Mo Qing gave Lin Mo a meaningful look, then said calmly, "Go straight up, climb up to their heads."

"Damn, can this guy mimic other people's voices?" Lin Mo thought to himself, "Or does it have some other special ability?"

"I bet the voice I just heard was definitely Mo Qing's!"

"Luckily, I reacted quickly enough, otherwise it would have been troublesome..."

Without giving Lin Mo a chance to catch his breath, Mo Qing quickly took off his gloves and tucked them into his belt. He deftly tied one end of the rope tightly around his own waist, while the other end was firmly secured to Lin Mo's body. "As soon as the rope tightens, you keep up with my pace."

Before Lin Mo could respond, Mo Qing had already dashed out like an arrow, using all four limbs at a speed that left Lin Mo speechless.

The rope slowly tightened between them, like a lifeline. Lin Mo cautiously approached, carefully observing their movements, every subtle step and foothold deeply imprinted in his mind.

When the last roll of rope was released, he took off his gloves without hesitation and followed closely behind, though at a slightly slower pace than the previous two.

Mo Qing skillfully maneuvered the rope around smooth, protruding rocks, then quietly waited nearby. As Lin Mo drew closer, he loosened the rope to allow Lin Mo to continue. However, this time, when the rope reached its limit, he couldn't find a suitable rock for support. So, Mo Qing took out a felt-covered hammer from his pack and began gently tapping the rocks, trying to embed iron nails.

Although his tapping was faint, it echoed in the canyon, causing Lin Mo to shrink back in fear, thinking that the system host in the canyon must be able to hear it.

Once the nails were in place, Mo Qing tied the rope securely, and Lin Mo followed immediately.

Don't look down. Keep your weight on your feet. Don't look down. Keep your eyes on the rock in front of you. This nail is strong, yes. Don't look down. You'll be able to catch your breath once you reach that cliff face, so keep going! Never look down.

Having lost his right hand, Lin Mo's attempt to climb with only one hand caused him to slip and his heart to stop beating. Fortunately, he did not fall.

The cold, icy air seeped through his fingertips, yet Lin Mo dared not put on his gloves. Although the gloves appeared tight and seamless, the friction of the fur and fabric between his skin and the stone would only increase the risk of slipping off—a fatal threat he could not afford.

His left palm gradually stiffened in the cold wind, the pain like being cut by a knife. He didn't know when, but his thumbnail had fallen off, and every touch left streaks of bright red blood.

"If I could, I would only hope that my other hand would still be intact when I reach the finish line," Lin Mo thought.

They climbed upward, upward, upward, like two dark shadows wriggling on the moonlit rock wall.

Anyone standing in the canyon could easily spot them, but the high mountains obscured the campfires of the system hosts.

They must be very close, Lin Mo could sense it. But what he was thinking was, "They're like me, hosts parasitized by those scum gods. One day, they'll be harvested by those gods..."

At two-thirds of its height, the rock wall is mercilessly cut off by a fissure in the ice and stone.

Mo Qing reached out to help him climb. Seeing that he had put his gloves back on, Lin Mo did the same.

When they finally reached the top of the rock wall, Mo Qing, the servant of the god, turned to the left without hesitation. The two crawled forward on the platform, covering nearly three hundred feet, until they saw a dim orange light through the edge of the cliff.

At the narrow entrance to the valley, they chose a secluded, shallow hollow as their campsite, where a campfire roared. Below, a rock pillar rose straight into the ground, while behind them, towering mountain walls shielded them from the fierce winds.

Lin Mo and his companions skillfully used the windbreak wall, crawling and creeping forward like two slithering snakes, until they could look down on their opponents in the camp from above.

One of them had fallen into a deep sleep, his body curled up tightly, like a hibernating animal hidden under his thick fur. In the dim light of the campfire, Lin Mo could only see his black and white hair, which stood out conspicuously in the night.
