Chapter 357 Reunion!

"So what if you see it!" Lin Mo sneered. "Do you think I'm afraid of you?"

Then Lin Mo carried Zhao Zhilan on his back and continued forward.

From the first rays of sunlight in the morning until the last glow of dusk disappeared behind the majestic "mountain", Lin Mo's footsteps never stopped.

As dusk gradually enveloped the world, the temperature seemed to drop dramatically in an instant, and a gentle breeze blew, carrying a hint of chill.

The road beneath our feet, though rough, was not steep and stretched gently downwards.

Along the way, cracks crisscrossed the landscape, broken rocks were scattered everywhere, and large boulders could be seen all around.

As she moved forward, Zhao Zhilan's reaction grew stronger; her body seemed to be able to feel the call of that distant spirit.

Lin Mo knew that this meant they were getting closer and closer to where Zhao Zhilan's soul was.

"Getting closer!" Lin Mo thought to himself, "Your soul should be nearby!"

So Lin Mo traveled all night, traversing the winding canyons and crossing that broken land.

The world was suddenly plunged into darkness. Lin Mo carried Zhao Zhilan on his back, the wind gradually picking up, rustling the hem of his clothes...

In the darkness, a Moon Shadow Tiger roared angrily, its roar echoing through the valley as if a dozen tigers were responding to each other.

Lin Mo looked up and saw a pair of fiery eyes flashing with an eerie light atop the peak, as large as the full moon, as if they could devour all darkness.

The darkness before dawn, like a giant curtain, enveloped the entire earth. They finally stopped, for Lin Mo keenly sensed an unusual aura.

"There's movement!" he thought.

His heart tightened, he held his breath, and tried to find the source of the sound. In the darkness, it was as if an invisible pair of eyes were watching him, sending a chill down his spine.

Just then, the other party seemed to have noticed Lin Mo's presence. The originally deep and powerful voice gradually weakened and eventually disappeared into the endless wilderness.

Before long, all that remained in my ears was the sound of howling wind, like the only symphony in the world, sharp and stirring.

Dawn was about to break, but the night remained deep, like a heavy curtain, blocking the path of light.

Lin Mo quietly hid in the crevices of the rocks, his ear pressed against the cold stone wall, carefully capturing every sound around him.

Suddenly, a soft rustling sound reached his ears, as if something was stealthily approaching. Lin Mo's heart tightened, and he abruptly stood up, shouting, "Who's there? Hiding like a coward, show yourself now!"

However, what emerged from the darkness was not the human figure he had expected, but a huge wolf.

It was a frost wolf, enormous in size, covered in snow-white fur that gleamed coldly in the faint moonlight.

Seeing this, Lin Mo felt a chill and without hesitation, he thrust his long sword out of its sheath. With a flash of cold light, he had already firmly protected Zhao Zhilan behind him.

It should be noted that the Frost Wolves are no ordinary beasts. Once they go berserk, their strength can instantly rise to the level of a five-star general, and their power is enough to intimidate the mountains and forests, making them a force to be reckoned with.

However, what was puzzling was that the Frost Giant Wolf behaved unusually docilely in front of Lin Mo. It slowly sat down, its posture resembling that of a well-trained domestic dog.

A sense of doubt welled up in Lin Mo's heart. How could this Frost Giant Wolf be so unexpectedly docile?

Could it really be some kind of special "domestic dog"?

What Lin Mo found even more unbelievable was...

Upon seeing the giant wolf, the mentally unstable Zhao Zhilan slowly extended her finger and kept making low, guttural sounds, "No, no, no!"

"What exactly is going on?" Lin Mo frowned, his eyes filled with doubt and astonishment. "Could it be that your soul is actually residing inside this Frost Wolf?"

Before she could finish speaking, Zhao Zhilan seemed not to have heard her at all, and walked firmly toward the Frost Wolf.

Upon seeing this, Lin Mo's heart tightened, and he cried out, "Come back quickly!"

In the realm of gods and their servants, possessing the bodies of beasts is no secret. They can use this method to borrow the power of beasts, or even their bodies, to walk the world.

The frost wolf before him was enormous and imposing, leading Lin Mo to speculate that it might have been possessed by a divine servant.

However, Lin Mo was unsure whether the one possessing the Frost Wolf was Zhao Zhilan or another divine servant.

Immediately afterward, Lin Mo moved swiftly, like a gust of wind, and grabbed Zhao Zhilan's wrist, pulling her back to his side. He gripped his longsword tightly, the blade held horizontally in front of his chest like an unbreakable barrier, radiating a chilling sword aura.

He shouted sternly, his voice revealing an undeniable authority: "If you are not a wild beast from that desolate land and can understand my human language, then get out of here and stand back!"

Upon hearing Lin Mo's rebuke, the giant wolf was taken aback, a hint of surprise and uncertainty flashing in its deep wolf eyes. However, it did not retreat an inch; instead, it straightened its body and stared intently at Lin Mo with its sharp gaze.

"Hmph, if you don't back down, I won't be polite!" Lin Mo swung the Dragon Slayer, and the divine weapon immediately hummed.

"Step back!" Lin Mo shouted again. "Third time's the charm, don't force me to take action!"

Seeing Lin Mo's fierce gaze, the giant wolf finally backed down.

It stood up and took a few steps back.
