"What? Great Xia wants to negotiate peace with us?" Kago looked incredulous upon hearing this. He pressed, "What did Lin Mo say? What price will we, the Dos people, have to pay in the peace talks?"
Koso shook his head and explained, "Reporting to the Great Chief, this King of Shu doesn't want anything, and in fact, he even gave us gifts!"
"You're not lying to me, are you?" Kago could hardly believe his ears. "What were his exact words?"
"He said that the Great Xia army was exhausted from the continuous fighting these days, so when I sued for peace on behalf of you, the Great Chief, he readily agreed."
"Oh?" Kago narrowed his eyes, a hint of disdain on his lips, and asked, "It can't be that simple, can it?"
Koso laughed loudly, "Great Chief, as expected, nothing can be hidden from you!" He said, "So, it turns out that Lin Mo ran out of supplies, which is why he chose to negotiate with us!"
Kago thought about it and it seemed to make sense, but something still felt off.
Koso continued, "Great Chief, the King of Shu was very happy to learn that we were willing to negotiate. He also asked me to tell you that he wants to become sworn brothers with you under the guidance of the Supreme God."
"Huh? He really said that?" Kago became more and more confused as he listened; this situation was completely unexpected.
"Korso, let me ask you, does Lin Mo really want to become sworn brothers with this chief?"
“Definitely!” Koso nodded. “I think that the King of Shu was only forced into it by the dog emperor of Great Xia. He didn’t actually want to send troops to the Dos Grassland.”
Now that his army is weary, it makes perfect sense that he would be willing to befriend the Great Chief.
"Since you put it that way, fine."
Kago breathed a sigh of relief, gazing at the vast expanse of sky and earth in the distance, thinking to himself, "If that kid were to seize the Holy Mountain and fight us to the death, I really wouldn't know what to do with him!"
After gathering his thoughts, Kago walked over to Koso, patted him on the shoulder, and praised him, "You did a very good job this time. After the war is over, I, the chieftain, have decided to reward you with the lands of the other two tribes!"
Koso was overjoyed and exclaimed, "Thank you, Great Chief!"
"Alright, go and rest now."
Koso quickly shook his head and said, "Great Chief, I can't rest yet. This time I brought 1,500 warriors who were captured by the Great Xia. They are all wounded. I will settle them in first before I rest."
"What?" Kago's expression changed drastically.
"What's wrong, Chief? Is there a problem?" Koso asked with a surprised look. "This was Lin Mo's idea. He said that to show the sincerity of Great Xia, he was willing to return these prisoners to us."
"You idiot!" Kago suddenly drew his curved sword from his waist. "I'll chop you up!"
Koso was also a top-notch fighter on the Dos Grass Sea, and purely out of instinct, he drew his scimitar.
Two of Dos's top warriors then unleashed a deadly sword dance, circling and attacking each other, leaping and bounding back and forth, their blades flashing.
"Great Chief, have you gone mad?" Koso roared.
"You're the one who's crazy!" Kago exclaimed angrily. "You...you actually brought the enemy here."
"Enemies? What enemies?" Koso asked, puzzled.
“Korso, you fool. I ask you,” Kago shouted, “how could we, the warriors of Doth, surrender and become prisoners unless we are too wounded to move?”
If the injury was serious, how could the person be able to move freely within a day?
Koso suddenly realized that all the "Dos prisoners" who came back with him this time could ride horses!
"Great Chief...it is me!"
Just then, Feng Xueqian, who had been slapped unconscious multiple times, arrived late. "Chief, be careful!" he muttered in a low voice. "The Great Xia people... those prisoners are actually... Great Xia soldiers!"
Upon hearing this, Koso felt a chill run down his spine.
The battle began suddenly and ended just as quickly.
Casso's momentary lapse in concentration allowed his opponent to swing his blade in an arc. The blade sliced into Doss's waist, cleaving him from spine to abdomen, blood spurting out and scattering into the dust.
The loser struggles and dies tragically, while the winner remains enraged.
"Idiot, idiot!" Kago cursed.
"Chief, now is not the time to be angry. Quickly order the elimination of spies!" Feng Xueqian reminded him.
"Yes, men, come here... eliminate the spies!" Kago shouted.
Those prisoners were, of course, soldiers of the Great Xia Dynasty.
However, they were all created by Lin Mo using the system after a long time by designing templates based on the appearance of the Dos people.
In terms of combat strength, Lin Mo only spent a little points to upgrade to a light cavalryman.
After all, they're just cannon fodder, so there's no need to invest too many points.
Their sole purpose was to disguise themselves as Doss, sneak into the Doss camp, create chaos, and distract the Doss.
Kago also knew that retreat was not an option at this time.
Nearly a thousand spies have infiltrated the area. No matter where they retreat, they will leave clues that Bai Qi will eventually find!
Those nomadic-style archer cavalry and the terrifying black-armored heavy cavalry were their nightmare!
After the last battle, the Dos people still had nearly 60,000 troops, which was less than a thousand Xia light cavalrymen. The outcome was a foregone conclusion.
The problem is that the soldiers Lin Mo exchanged for looked exactly like the Dos people.
Unless these soldiers make the first move, it's impossible to tell the difference.
Kago ran out of the tent and ordered his subordinate leaders to wipe out the Great Xia cavalry within the camp. This task was given inexplicably, and the leaders were completely baffled.
As a result, it was extremely difficult for the leaders to carry out the plan.
