Chapter 18 Stunned? Reinforcements Arrive from the Sky!

After speaking, Xu Chu suddenly charged towards the chief.

The leader dared not be negligent; he raised his single-edged sword and stepped forward to meet him.

His longsword was a high-quality product made of pure steel, and the chief's martial arts skills were superb, allowing him to wield it with great skill. His first strike was aimed at the lower body, but Xu Chu easily deflected it with his axe.

Before he could retaliate, the leader's second blow struck his head.

Xu Chu immediately raised his other axe to parry, and with a melodious yet sharp metallic clang, the chief felt his hand go numb from the blow.

"This person's strength is too great!" the leader thought to himself, realizing something was wrong.

Immediately, the chief's sword attacked Xu Chu's thigh repeatedly, forcing Xu Chu to retreat several steps.

"This kid is quick!" Xu Chu realized, so he steeled himself and stopped defending.

When the bandit leader swung his sword again, Xu Chu did not dodge at all. Instead, he raised his axe high and pressed down with his body weight, intending to split the bandit leader in front of him in two.

"Big brother, be careful!" Zhu Meng shouted anxiously and rushed forward, pushing the chief away in the critical moment.

The axe swung down fiercely, landing on the rocks halfway up the mountain.

With a loud "boom," it cleaved the rock in two, scattering fragments everywhere.

"This..." The leader and Zhu Meng trembled upon seeing it. "What kind of power is this!"

"Die!" Xu Chu fought with increasing ferocity, wielding his double axes and slashing fiercely at the two men.

Zhu Meng was terrified and hurriedly grabbed his single-edged sword to parry.

"Fifth Brother, you absolutely mustn't!" the chief leader cried out in warning, but it was too late.

Zhu Meng excels in martial arts, and although his strength is much higher than that of ordinary people, he is the weakest among the leaders.

Even the chieftain struggled to withstand Xu Chu's axe; how could Zhu Meng possibly withstand it?

"珰!"

A flash of fire, and Zhu Meng felt a sharp pain in his palm. His hand split open, blood splattered everywhere, and the single-edged sword in his hand was knocked to the ground with a clang.

Zhu Meng turned pale with fright. He had seen countless ruthless people, but he had never met anyone like Xu Chu before.

With just one axe strike, he possessed such power that it completely shattered his worldview.

While Zhu Meng was still in a daze, Xu Chu's axe came down at him again. He instinctively tried to dodge to the side, but it was too late.

Zhu Meng swayed slightly for a moment, and when Xu Chu withdrew his axe, the corpse fell sprawled on the rocks, looking more like a drunkard than dead.

"Fifth Brother!" the chief leader cried out in grief and indignation.

He rushed forward, lifted Zhu Meng's body, and then roared again, "I'm going to kill you!"

"Kill me?" Xu Chu smiled disdainfully. "You think you can?"

This barrage of sarcastic remarks drove the leader to the brink of madness. He charged forward recklessly, but Xu Chu's words next left him bewildered.

Xu Chu grinned and said, "You scoundrel, you've fallen for my lord's trick!"

"You've been tricked?"

Just as he was wondering what was going on, his subordinates suddenly came to report: "Boss, something bad has happened!"

"What's wrong with that?" Zhu Meng's death had already filled the bandit leader with grief and indignation. Hearing this, he was so angry that he immediately slapped the man twice. "Explain yourself!"

The bandit was so badly beaten that he stammered, "There are enemy troops in the rear!"

"What? Enemy forces? How is that possible!" the leader asked incredulously.

Just then, a battle cry rang out from above and below: "Kill! Great Xia is mighty!"

The leader turned around and saw thousands of Great Xia soldiers attacking from behind.

"What's going on? Where did these soldiers come from?"

The sudden change caused the leader to lose his ability to think.

By the time he realized what was happening and was about to order his men to counterattack, he suddenly discovered that the Great Xia soldiers below the mountain were already about to rush towards his face...

Meanwhile, Lin Mo, who was on Duxiu Peak, led his troops down the mountain.

Lin Mo's martial arts skills were already quite good, and now with Xu Chu's assistance, his combat power has increased by more than tenfold.

The leader glanced around with difficulty, and the scene before him made him feel as if he had fallen into an ice cave.

In a short time, more than half of the six thousand bandits were dead. Blood and flesh flew everywhere, staining the hillside red. The corpses lay scattered like a scene from hell.

The leader stared in disbelief, a chill running from the soles of his feet to the top of his head.

"Could it be that Yang Fei lied to me? Are the reinforcements down the mountain Yang Fei's men?" he wondered. "Did his reputation as the son of the Grand Marshal of the Great Xia make him submit? So he's now dismantling the bridge and trying to wipe out my stronghold?"

At this moment, he had only one thought: to do everything possible to protect his men.

Then the leader suddenly turned his head and looked at Lin Mo, who was rushing down the mountain.

When Lin Mo charged up to the bandit leader, he revealed his gleaming white teeth, raised his blood-stained longsword, and grinned, "So you're the leader of the Shulong Mountain bandits?"

The bandit leader's eyes were filled with fear, his face was pale, and he said in a dry, panicked voice, "Yes, Your Highness, please spare me!"

Seeing this, the chief's personal guards panicked, "Chief, how can you be so humble..."

As he spoke, the guard swung his broadsword and slashed at Lin Mo.

Lin Mo remained calm at all. He waved his hand lightly, and Xu Chu, who was standing to the side, understood. He reached out with his large hands to grab the guard, who was suddenly lifted off the ground.

"My lord, what should we do?" Xu Chu asked.

"Be ruthless!" Lin Mo ordered.

Xu Chu grinned, then grabbed the man's head with his right hand and his foot with his left, and then pulled hard.

With a bloodcurdling scream, Xu Chu tore the guard's body to pieces. Blood and severed limbs littered the ground.

Upon seeing this, the leader turned pale with fright.
