Su Yin thought that the first scene she saw should be the sea.
It is the turbulent sea and the constantly surging waters.
When her hand had unconsciously reached into the open bag of potato chips, the white light from the screen was so dazzling that it blinded her.
Su Yin raised her head again, but all she saw was the vast expanse of white snow.
Tang Yue was a little excited when she saw this, as it reminded her of her hometown. Snow, sometimes, is holy and beautiful, and it is the kind of thing that makes southerners revel after seeing it.
But sometimes snow can be depressing, especially when you find that the white snow covers everything you can see.
A hunched figure slowly moved onto the screen. He bent over and skillfully cleared the snow in front of his house.
Only after doing all this did he raise his head.
When the audience looked at this old face, which was bloodless and lifeless and whose pupils had lost their movement, through the big screen, their first reaction was to wonder who this newcomer was.
There are roughly two types of people who come to see this movie. One type is those who like to watch art films. They recognize the director but are not sensitive to the actors.
The other type is Helian Bei’s fans. Naturally, they would not associate this vicissitudes of life middle-aged man with Helian Bei.
It was not until the man returned home, took off his thick and heavy coat and his ugly-looking hat, and stood alone in front of the bathroom that everyone confirmed that he was really Helian Bei.
The man was just shaving, and after doing all this, he returned to the living room.
There wasn't much in the living room, not even a single unnecessary decoration.
This place looks very much like the home of a single man.
Surprisingly, however, there were no piles of beer bottles on the floor.
The mere fact that there was no sound at the beginning of the conversation had already discouraged many viewers.
In cinemas across the country, many people began to feel drowsy.
Even Wang Xingrui yawned subconsciously.
The first turning point of the plot came from a phone call.
"Are you Wang Chunbo?"
"I am." As soon as he spoke, Tang Yue frowned.
This is a very obvious southern accent, which is totally unsuitable for the character of Helian Bei.
But Tang Yue believed that Zhang Yingyuan would never make such a mistake in details. There was only one truth, which was that Wang Chunbo was not a local.
"Your brother Wang Chunhua died in a car accident."
When Su Yin heard the news of his brother's death, he couldn't help but tremble.
It would be very uncomfortable to put yourself in their shoes, right?
However, Wang Chunbo just opened his mouth in slight surprise, then hummed, "Dead?"
He was as numb as a walking corpse, and the death of his relatives could not even cause a ripple in his heart.
Lin Xuan'er suddenly sat up straight. She was very curious about what Wang Chunbo had experienced to become what he was now.
"Yes. Can you come to Crane City?"
When he heard the name Hecheng, Wang Chunbo's eyes finally showed a clear glint.
Although it is fleeting.
The camera turns and shows Hecheng with spring flowers blooming.
Wang Chunbo looked much younger than he does now. He was leaning against the wall with a cigarette in his mouth and a faint smile on his lips.
"dad!"
Two children, one big and one small, a boy and a girl, ran towards him, followed by a beautiful young woman with short hair.
"Let's go out and play!"
Zhang Yingyuan used a series of shots to show everyone the beautiful scenery of Hecheng.
After a few minutes of brief recollection, Wang Chunbo realized that the phone had been hung up long ago.
He learned that in Wang Chunhua's will, he became the guardian of his nephew, and he had to return to Hecheng to fulfill his obligations.
The day before he left, Wang Chunbo was still working. He went to three houses to repair water pipes. No one could tell that he had just lost his brother.
After returning home, Wang Chunbo began to pack his luggage without saying a word.
There isn't much stuff, it can be packed in a few boxes.
When he returned to the bedroom, he was stunned for a moment.
He slowly picked up the two photo frames, looked at them for a long time, and then carefully put them into the box.
Unfortunately, the director did not give the audience a shot to let them see clearly what is in the frame.
Wang Chunbo left quietly.
The landlord didn't notice any traces of him in the house. If he hadn't received rent every month, he would even suspect that Wang Chunbo had never lived here.
Without anyone to see him off and without any friends trying to keep him, Wang Chunbo had already boarded the return train.
As the city covered in snow yesterday gradually faded away behind him, Wang Chunbo simply closed his eyes.
Su Yin bit her lip, she was amazed at Helian Bei's performance.
In fact, most of the best actor and actress-level performances are outwardly expressive. The audience can easily feel the actor's surging emotions and superb performance from a heart-wrenching crying scene.
But Helian Bei has not had any big expressions or movements in this movie so far.
He looked like a strange man he had met in the guesthouse where Zhang Yiling was staying.
They are silent, expressionless, and they swallow all their pain in their stomachs, living like ascetics.
There are not many middle-aged men coming to the cinema, but they can feel a sense of suffocation and depression from Helian Bei's silent performance.
I originally thought that there would be some unique adventures on the train, which is a scene that often appears in movies.
Who knew that Zhang Yingyuan would take an unconventional approach this time? When Helian Bei appeared in the next shot, he was already standing on the land of Hecheng.
