Chapter 1359 Dance Hall

“So it’s a bar?”

They crossed many bright but lonely roads and finally stopped at the entrance of a brightly lit alley.

Compared to the spacious and bright commercial street outside, this alley that seems to only allow one car to pass through is more popular.

Tang Yue only took a quick look and saw several bars.

She thought, the next place they were going to should be the guesthouse above the bar where Su Yin had stayed before?

"It's not a bar," Su Yin immediately rejected Tang Yue's idea: "We are going to a dance hall next."

"Dance hall?" Wang Xingrui raised an eyebrow. "It's actually a dance hall! I didn't expect your movie would have a dance hall scene."

"Could it be that you, Xiao Xiaosu, are playing a dancer in the film?" Tang Yue began to speculate: "Dancing is a good role. I think this role is very suitable for winning awards."

And they all knew that Su Yin had amazed the entire film and television industry when she played a dancer in a short film.

However, Su Yin shook her head and said calmly, "It's really not true. Don't try to trick me into telling you anything. I won't tell you. Anyway, you'll know the answer after you watch the movie."

"Okay." Tang Yue shrugged, then followed Su Yin and Zhang Yiling to the end of the alley.

There actually is a dance hall there, a dance hall that has a sense of age in both its decoration and its name: Tuberose.

Looking at this name, Tang Yue couldn't help but think of the movies she watched as a child.

"Is this dance hall formal?" Tang Yue looked at the name and then at the decoration of the entire dance hall door. No wonder she had such a question.

Zhang Yiling chuckled: "Tangtang, what are you thinking? If this is not formal, can I bring you here?"

"That's right," Tang Yue sighed, seeming a little regretful. "But I think this ballroom should be pretty good."

"Why do you think so?" Su Yin turned around and asked curiously.

"Because you see a lot of electric carts parked at the entrance, it means this dance hall must be quite crowded. There are so many bars on this street, but people still choose to come here. There must be a reason."

Su Yin smiled slightly, still with that mysterious expression: "You'll know after you go in. Come on, let's go in together."

Led by Su Yin and Zhang Yiling, they pushed open the door with pictures on it and walked into a bizarre world.

For Tang Yue, her favorite thing about this place is the light, which is dim enough.

So that they don't need to be fully armed and won't be easily recognized.

The only thing that made them feel fortunate was that the music played in this dance hall was finally not the nostalgic golden songs from twenty years ago, but their songs.

What is it like when the original singer hears his own song in a dance hall?

They thought about it and felt a subtle embarrassment.

Su Yin was very calm. It was obvious that she had already gotten used to this scene when she was filming here. "Don't be surprised, this store likes to play our songs. Maybe it's because our songs make it a good place to dance."

Although the music in the dance hall is very fashionable, its overall decoration style is just like its name, with a very obvious mark of the times.

There is no DJ, no various booths, and naturally no wine touts who want to cheat money by various means.

There was only one area wide enough for the guests to dance.

"The fees here are so low." Tang Yue still remembered that when they first came in, the ticket seemed to be only ten yuan, and they also gave away a cup of Coke.

This price is almost a bargain for a dance hall.

"Yes," Zhang Yiling nodded. "Actually, there are so many people coming here. One reason is that the tickets are cheap, so everyone can come."

After they walked to the center of the crowd, Wang Xingrui could see clearly that half of the guests in this dance hall were elderly.

These old people with gray hair seem unwilling to accept the definition given to them by the world and unwilling to waste their time like this.

They all came to this dance hall and could enjoy a night of dancing for only ten dollars.

"That's great," Tang Yue said after listening to their introduction. She immediately felt that this dance hall was much more meaningful than she had imagined. "When I get older, I will definitely choose to dance here."

"Yeah," Su Yin started to sway along. Perhaps the guests here weren't about to break out into some explosive hip-hop dance; they were just swaying to the rhythm of the music. "When I dance here, I feel so relaxed. I suddenly realize that getting old isn't a big deal. There's still a lot of fun stuff to do in the future."

"You think," Wang Xingrui whispered, "after these old men and women listen to our songs, will they start to like them?"

"That's possible," Tang Yue laughed. "Besides, I think the grandpas and grandmas who come here to dance are still very trendy."

At this moment, the music suddenly changed to a faster-paced piece of music.

Tang Yue couldn't help but start shaking her head, then looked at Zhang Yiling beside her: "Isn't the music here too exciting? I can hardly dance anymore."

"That's not necessarily true," Zhang Yiling smiled, covering her mouth. "You can go and see them now. The result will definitely be different from what you think."

Tang Yue immediately turned around and saw that the elderly people were twisting their bodies quite vigorously. She raised an eyebrow, realizing that she had also fallen into the same misconception.

"Does the boss here have any story?" Wang Xingrui asked curiously. She felt that such a special dance hall should have a good story background.

"The story," Zhang Yiling paused. "That's what I thought at first, and I even planned to include it in the movie. But when I found the owner, I was told there was no story at all. He opened this dance hall when he was young, and the elderly people here are just like him, slowly getting older."

At this time, Su Yin stood under the red light, holding the cup of Coke in her hand, with a slight smile on her lips: "Many people have forgotten that the elderly here were once young too!"

The four of them danced, jumped, and shook their heads wildly to the music, releasing the happiness factor that had been hidden in their bodies for a long time.

This, they thought, was the magic of music.
