Hearing the sound of rain in the early morning is not a good thing for those who get up early.
Zhang Chuntao sat on the bed in a huff, too stubborn to leave the quilt.
"Your mother just called you on the landline to urge you to leave." The father sighed, "Let's go!"
"good!"
Zhang Chuntao got up reluctantly, quickly finished her breakfast, and then glanced at Einstein who was lying at her feet.
"Grandpa, you must keep your dog on a leash when you walk it, okay?"
Grandpa nodded perfunctorily and said, "I, your grandpa, don't have Alzheimer's disease yet. Just tell me once and I'll understand."
"Also, Einstein is very strong, so be careful." Zhang Chuntao glanced at her father who was eating a biscuit and said, "Dad, why don't you go walk the dog?"
"I can't change shifts today," my father said nonchalantly. "Your grandfather is in good health. He's just walking the dog. Why are you so nervous? If you're worried, just bring Einstein to see your mother."
"No, that kid's still here," Zhang Chuntao immediately shook her head. "He definitely doesn't have good intentions towards Einstein."
"He's just a six-year-old kid, it shouldn't be that serious..." The father wiped the corner of his mouth and prepared to go to work.
Zhang Chuntao gave her grandfather instructions again before reluctantly leaving the house.
Huang Yingding's restaurant is near her home, but it is so far away from Zhang Chuntao that it takes her 40 minutes to get there by bus.
However, Zhang Chuntao has gotten used to it because her mother is always like this and rarely considers her situation.
When Zhang Chuntao arrived at the hotel, she ran into Huang Ying who was patrolling at the door.
The bag she was carrying was obviously worth a lot of money:
"What are you wearing?"
Zhang Chuntao didn't answer her boring question, but just called out "Mom" softly and went into the restaurant.
Huang Ying was left alone muttering, "Humph, it's really no use following that man. He says bad things about me every day!"
Uncle Yang still had that amiable, kind face, but ever since Zhang Chuntao learned from her classmates how he made his fortune, she would no longer be fooled by his appearance.
"Chun Tao, come and order some food and see if there's anything you like."
Zhang Chuntao took the menu, glanced at the prices, and then handed it back: "Uncle, I've never eaten here before, so you should order!"
Uncle Yang laughed. This development was within his expectations. He hadn't even thought of asking Zhang Chuntao to order the dishes. He just wanted her to see how expensive the dishes were.
Yang Xing was not polite to his cheap sister and asked arrogantly:
"Where's the dog? Why didn't you bring it with you?"
Huang Ying also said: "Yes, didn't your dad say he bought you a dog? It's a breed of dog. Take it out and let us see it!"
Zhang Chuntao felt very angry. She found that she had lost patience with her mother since she didn't know when.
"If you ask me to take you, I will. Am I your dog?"
Zhang Chuntao slammed the table so hard that it startled the waiter and the people at the next table.
Yang Xing burst into tears. Huang Ying comforted her son while scolding Zhang Chuntao for being a money-loser and having no manners. The entire restaurant was in chaos.
Only Uncle Yang, a veteran of many battles, first pulled Zhang Chuntao to sit down, and then comforted her: "Don't be angry, your mother is just like that, she doesn't think before she speaks."
After being glared at by her husband for a few times, Huang Yingcai reluctantly said, "If you don't want to take it, then don't take it. It's no big deal. Don't cry, son. Your mother will buy you a bigger, more beautiful and more expensive dog!"
Yang Xing stopped crying immediately. Zhang Chuntao was deeply impressed by his acting skills. The child even looked at her proudly.
The meal was very depressing. Zhang Chuntao listened to Huang Ying bragging about how happy her life was the whole time.
In short, leaving Zhang Chuntao's father was the best decision in her life.
When they were almost done eating, Uncle Yang finally spoke: "Uncle said he wanted to send you abroad. It wasn't just a spur-of-the-moment decision. What do you think about it?"
Huang Ying straightened her chest and said, "Your Uncle Yang is such a good man. Your father couldn't come up with that much money in his lifetime."
"Uncle, thank you for your kindness," Zhang Chuntao stood up politely, "but I still want to stay in China and be with my father."
Uncle Yang was a little stunned. After a moment of daze, he looked at Zhang Chuntao with less contempt in his eyes: "That's good. Your father must be quite lonely alone."
Huang Ying tutted, "What a loser!"
Yang Xing laughed heartily: "Mom, I have great potential. I will go to America in the future and buy you a big house to live in!"
Zhang Chuntao had no intention of disturbing the family's happy life, so she found a reason to leave.
She was walking on the side of the road when she suddenly saw a dirty stray dog running into the middle of the road.
Before she could call the stray dog, a van drove past quickly, leaving only a "meat pie" behind.
The scene was so shocking that Zhang Chuntao vomited.
She covered her mouth, feeling her throat was sore and her heartbeat was inexplicably faster.
She had a bad premonition, and when Zhang Chuntao rushed home, she was hit hard.
"Your grandfather wasn't paying attention while walking his dog, and Einstein ran away." The father looked at his daughter guiltily: "I just asked for leave, wait a minute!"
Zhang Chuntao rushed out.
Her mind was filled with the tragic death of the stray dog. Would her Einstein be like that?
For a moment she wanted to blame her grandfather, but when she thought of her age, she couldn't get angry.
It was all her own fault. She shouldn't have let grandpa take the dog out for a walk. She should have just waited for him to come back.
Not long after, Xiaohua also rushed over and helped Zhang Chuntao find the dog.
On the way, Xiaohua apologized to Zhang Chuntao: "Taozi, I'm sorry, you didn't have a good time that night."
"No," Zhang Chuntao was panicking and didn't want to waste time talking to Xiaohua. "I just... well, I just don't like that place. Can you ask Zhang Xin to come look for it? He has so many brothers..."
Zhang Chuntao didn't notice that Xiaohua's expression changed.
After all, it had only been a week since they went to the dance hall that night.
Xiaohua shook her head desperately: "Taozi, I, I didn't tell you that Zhang Xin and I have broken up."
She suddenly started crying, which made Zhang Chuntao even more annoyed.
"That night, a woman dressed very scantily came to see him. I went to the bathroom later and ran into them kissing when I came out..."
"Hey," Zhang Chuntao comforted her perfunctorily: "Breaking up is the right thing to do. Zhang Xin is unreliable!"
"Well," Xiaohua stopped crying: "Let's find Einstein first!"
On the other side, Zhang Chuntao's grandfather felt bad and hurried out to look for the dog.
Perhaps he was too anxious, and he didn't even notice a stone on the side of the road, and he tripped and fell.
