By the time Su Yin and the other three finished their rehearsal, it was already six o'clock in the evening.
In order to prevent stomach discomfort during the evening performance, the four of them only took some snacks to fill their stomachs.
Luo Chen and Ling Hu walked towards them.
"Why are you two together again?" After Tang Yue got familiar with the two, she was no longer as respectful as before, but joked with them like a friend.
"I met him on the road." Luo Chen explained immediately.
"I'll go find him." Ling Hu raised an eyebrow. "I've always wanted to come and see your rehearsal, but I didn't know the time would come together."
"You'll see it during the live broadcast later." Lin Xuan'er saw Su Yin grab another snack and couldn't help but remind her, "Little Su, what if you need to go to the bathroom while you're dancing later?"
Su Yin then put the snacks back with a wronged look on her face: "Then I'll just have to hold it in!"
Ling Hu and Luo Chen were both amused by them: "How come you four are talking without any idol baggage at all! I thought fairies didn't go to the bathroom!"
"If I only drink dew, it should be fine." Wang Xingrui borrowed the setting from the novel she read.
"By the way," Ling Hu led them to a corner and whispered, "Do you know Gu Ling's show?"
"I don't know." The four of them shook their heads at the same time. Tang Yue added, "Since we met Gu Ling that day, we hardly saw him again."
"He originally wrote a new song. I went to listen to it during his rehearsal and it was really good. However, the satellite TV station felt that the new song was not popular enough and forced him to replace it with a medley of his classic songs."
Ling Hu danced with joy as he spoke, and it was obvious that he was really angry: "Shencheng TV is so shameless just for the sake of popularity."
"Well," Luo Chen quickly asked Ling Hu to lower his voice, "Don't let the staff hear. I won't invite you again in the future."
"That's okay. Even if they don't invite me, other satellite TV stations will pay to invite me." Ling Hu said confidently.
Everyone was speechless for a while. The top stars spoke with confidence.
"Look," Tang Yue nudged Wang Xingrui, who was deep in her novel, with her elbow, "Isn't that the Big Devil?"
"The Big Devil?" Ling Hu was stunned. He knew the man, but he didn't know that he had a nickname called the Big Devil.
"Oh, he and I were on the same show." Wang Xingrui pointed at herself and Lin Xuaner. "I Am a Singer, a little-known variety show."
"Is that so?" Ling Hu said seriously, "It seems very vague. I haven't even heard of it."
"You must have heard their songs," Su Yin said angrily. For the first time, she found Ling Hu, a top star, annoying. "'Bubble' and 'Dancing Diva' are really popular!"
"I've heard of these two songs," Ling Hu said apologetically, "I don't really watch variety shows. I never watched your 101 back then."
"You haven't seen 101?" This time it was Luo Chen who exclaimed: "Didn't you tell me last time that your opinion of me changed drastically after watching 101? So you must have been lying to me!"
Ling Hu coughed and silently patted Luo Chen on the back to calm him down: "I didn't lie to you, I just watched your cut."
"Yo~" Tang Yue smiled maliciously and kept exchanging glances with Wang Xingrui. "I watched Brother Chen's cut, and it seems that the four of us are still unattractive!"
"Tangtang," Wang Xingrui gave Tang Yue a thumbs-up: "There really is no couple you dare not support!"
Su Yin and Lin Xuan'er, who were not aware of the situation, looked at each other and smiled helplessly.
Luo Chen quickly changed the subject: "By the way, what happened to that big devil?"
"Him," Tang Yue said mysteriously. "I heard he signed a contract with Modo Music, the producer of I Am a Singer. Anyway, he's likely to win the championship in the finals."
Tang Yue glanced at the nonchalant Lin Xuan'er and Wang Xingrui, then said with a look of dismay, "Why didn't you two react? This show started by using you two to drum up attention. Then they secretly created a big-demon persona for him, and had you two carry the sedan chair for him. There's a good chance he'll beat you two by a large margin in the finals. If it were me, I definitely wouldn't be able to swallow this!"
"It's okay," Lin Xuan'er said, seemingly unfazed. "Ruirui and I have two hit songs on this show, so it's a win no matter how you look at it. As for winning the championship, it's actually not that important."
"Yes," Wang Xingrui continued, "I'm very satisfied to be able to perform in the finals. And I heard that Brother Yang is going to write a song for Xuan'er and me this time!"
"If it were me," Luo Chen looked at the two of them enviously, "even if I came in last, it would be worth it if Brother Yang could give me this song."
"Don't you have 'The Brightest Star in the Night Sky' already?" Ling Hu pretended to be pitiful. "As for me, I still haven't been able to sing the theme song for 'Ode to Joy' yet. Your President Zhou is really amazing. Every song he writes becomes a hit."
"Yes," Su Yin said proudly, "So, Brother Hu, do you want to come to our company?"
Ling Hu shrugged: "Forget it, there's no room for two tigers in one mountain. It's better for me to stay in my company and be the boss."
The six people chatted until seven o'clock before being invited backstage by the staff.
At the same time, Zhou Yiyang and his team finally finished today's filming before the live broadcast of the evening party.
Bai Yangyu, who had originally planned to stay, looked at Zhou Yiyang mysteriously and said, "Boss Zhou, I have something to do tonight."
"What's the matter, Brother Bai?" a little actor asked curiously.
Bai Yangyu said vaguely: "Private matter, private matter."
Zhou Yiyang waved his hand and let him go.
In the end, the only ones left in the welfare home were Zhou Yiyang, Qiao Zishan, Pang Li and Jiang Yang.
Together with Dean Luo and all the children, a large group of them sat in the hall, waiting for the New Year's Eve Gala of Shanghai Satellite TV.
Zhou Yiyang held Xiao Hei in his arms and comforted him, telling him not to move around: "Don't move again until the sisters come out to sing, or I won't give you any candy."
In the mountain city of Shanghai, Wang Xingrui's younger brother celebrated New Year's Eve with his friends at a crowded Jiefangbei square. He certainly didn't forget to watch the New Year's Eve gala, and even video-called his parents back home to remind them to tune in to Shanghai TV.
In Harbin, Tang Yue's parents walked hand in hand, hurriedly along Central Avenue, where snow was falling. "Hubby, hurry up! The live broadcast starts at 7:30!"
"Our daughter isn't about to start a show, why are you in such a hurry? Hey, honey, wait for me!"
In the capital, Ye Kongqing sat in a magnificent concert hall, playing New Year's greetings for the audience.
However, beneath her calm face, her heart was agitated: "Why isn't it over yet? I have to go home and watch my daughter sing!"
Xiao Hei grabbed the buttons on Zhou Yiyang's clothes and shouted excitedly: "Big Dog, it's time to start, the party has started!"
