Chapter 438 Recording Program

This autumn in Shanghai is the same as in previous years, with temperatures almost the same as in summer.

The temperature of nearly 30 degrees Celsius always makes people suspect that Shanghai may have a tropical rainforest climate.

However, after entering the ocean park inside the hotel, all the irritation caused by the temperature disappeared.

All that was left was the urge to jump into the water.

The venue was cleared early, and the audience who were lucky enough to win tickets were still queuing outside the hotel. Yue Shao followed Zhou Yiyang and slipped in through the back door.

When Chen Shao saw Zhou Yiyang, he smiled innocently: "Brother Yang, you came without even telling me. I sent someone to pick you up. And you brought the four goddesses with you."

I don’t know when it started, but the other party stopped calling him Lao Zhou and started calling him Brother instead.

"They insisted on coming," Zhou Yiyang shrugged, looking helpless: "There's nothing I can do."

In front of outsiders, the four girls still protect their goddess image.

"The guests performing today are all brilliant stars, and we are here to observe and learn." Lin Xuan'er gave an official answer as soon as she opened her mouth.

The director saw his boss coming and immediately dropped his camera and rushed over to greet him. He stood in front of Zhou Yiyang breathlessly and said, "Boss Zhou, are you here to give us instructions?"

"Don't be nervous," Zhou Yiyang said gently, "I'm just here to watch the show, just shoot it as you want. Are all the guests here?"

"They're here, putting on makeup in their rooms!" The director wiped the sweat from his forehead and breathed a sigh of relief. He was worried that Zhou Yiyang would be like other company bosses, who didn't do their job and just liked to give orders without thinking.

Guan Fei mixed in with the staff and checked the stage layout.

Since this event is held in Ocean Park, the stage is also specially designed.

With Zhou Yiyang's bold connection, the stage was moved to the center of the swimming pool.

The audience seats are set directly in the constant temperature swimming pool.

At first, Guan Fei was worried that this idea might scare the audience who came to the recording, but she didn't expect that most people would be even more excited after knowing that they would be listening to the music in the water.

Two hours later, the recording began.

If Zhou Yiyang hadn't stopped them, the four of them would probably have put on their swimsuits and jumped into the swimming pool like the audience.

Now they had no choice but to stand on the high platform and watch with Zhou Yiyang.

"I feel like I can write a poem now." Tang Yue said in a very dramatic tone. It really feels great to climb to a high place and look into the distance!

"But it should be fun in the water too," Su Yin took out the binoculars and put them on. "It seems like everyone is having a lot of fun!"

"Brother Yang's idea is still the best." Guan Fei flattered him half-heartedly.

"This is the original intention of our program. The singers share their new songs and the audience interacts like friends. So the atmosphere of the whole program should be happy and relaxing." Zhou Yiyang talked freely.

"I think this atmosphere is pretty good," Lin Xuan'er said, already imagining herself on the show. "The singers on the show won't be nervous either, and they might even perform beyond their expectations."

"Yeah," Wang Xingrui nodded, "I think if I go up there I might be able to sing a C6 easily!"

As he was speaking, Jiang Yang, the host, came on stage in a suit, which seemed out of place compared to the audience who were all wearing swimsuits.

"Hello everyone, tonight is our first recording of 'Music of Autumn'. Yes, it was originally set for summer, but our CEO Zhou said it's September and almost October, and we can't mislead the audience! So we changed it to autumn. I think autumn is pretty nice, with the red leaves fluttering and it's very romantic."

The audience burst into laughter, and the matter of the program's name change was revealed.

"In addition to swimsuits and swim rings, everyone should have received a whistle. Of course, it's definitely not an ordinary whistle, it's our voting device. After each performance, if you like the song, please don't hesitate to blow the whistle for it!"

Tang Yue really likes this design: "This can also avoid the possibility of vote manipulation. The audience can roughly guess the vote count of a song just by listening to the sound."

"Yes," Wang Xingrui nodded vigorously. "It would be great if other programs could also be promoted. It would avoid a lot of shady dealings."

As soon as Jiang Yang finished speaking, an audience member tried to blow it.

"Everyone, are you voting for me now? Thank you so much, but my vote doesn't count! Let's wait until the singers perform before voting!"

Everyone laughed again, and Zhou Yiyang nodded repeatedly. Jiang Yang was indeed a comedian, his impromptu performance was both hilarious and appropriate, which was very rare.

Before the first guest appeared, a pre-recorded interview video was broadcast on the big screen.

In the video, five men who look like gangsters from the Black Society sit in front of the camera. Unlike their domineering faces, their awkward little hands reveal their inner anxiety.

Hydrogen Band, one of the earliest rock bands in mainland China.

It was also the only band that could compete with the bands in Hong Kong and Taiwan on equal terms.

However, this band has been around for decades but has only released two albums, which can hardly be described as low productivity.

Over the past decade, the band has practically vanished from the scene, refusing to appear on shows or at festivals. Rumors circulated that the five members had offended a prominent figure in their early years and were subsequently eliminated.

The audience at the scene did not know the performing guests in advance. Some young people were confused when they saw these five old men and didn't know who they were.

However, some older audience members were so excited that they wanted to jump into the water.

"Amazing! President Zhou actually invited them! Hydrogen Band, they were so popular back then!"
