Chapter 661: Summer Limited Edition (Part 2)

Three days later, the funeral was over.

Mother Lu left reluctantly, but she reminded Lu Manman to study even at her aunt's house. She even called a courier to send the tutoring books she had bought.

"Well," Lu Manman suppressed the excitement in her heart and gave a calm blessing: "I will study hard, and you should be careful on the road."

"Manman!" Qi Xueer's voice sounded in her ears.

When Lu Manman turned around, she saw Qi Xueer carrying a bulging schoolbag.

The other person was wearing a white short-sleeved shirt and sports shorts today, looking young and beautiful.

"Let's go out and play!" Qi Xueer put her arm around Lu Manman's shoulder.

Mother Qi looked at the schoolbag suspiciously: "What's in it?"

"A lot of books!" Qi Xue'er lied without blushing: "You know, Second Aunt said we should study anytime and anywhere~ We are going to the library!"

Although Lu Manman couldn't lie, she was very good at hiding her emotions. There wasn't a trace of surprise on her face, which made Mother Qi believe it.

"Library? The sun is rising from the west! Manman, take this money. If you cough on the way, buy some drinks."

Lu Manman took the money, and Qi Xueer next to her pouted unconvincedly: "Where's mine?"

"You, didn't!" Mother Qi glared at Qi Xueer: "Watch Manman carefully. If she feels uncomfortable when she comes back, I will punish you!"

Then Mother Qi changed her expression and looked at Lu Manman with a smile: "Manman, auntie will make you some spare ribs tonight. You and Xueer both love to eat spare ribs."

After they were far away, Qi Xueer proudly opened her schoolbag and said, "Hey, take it!"

It was a motorcycle helmet.

"Are we going for a ride on the beach?" Lu Manman was not too surprised. She followed Qi Xueer's example and put on her helmet.

"Yeah." Qi Xueer raised the corner of her mouth and made a phone call: "Someone will send a car over soon."

The person who came was a skinny boy. When he saw Lu Manman, his face turned red instantly.

"What are you looking at!" Qi Xue'er yelled, and the boy almost fell to the ground in shock. "That's my cousin, Sister Lu!"

"Hello, Sister Lu!" the boy answered fluently.

It was the first time Lu Manman was called "sister" and she felt a little embarrassed.

"Sister Xue," the boy handed the keys to Qi Xue'er, "You can drive, right? My dad just bought this car. If it gets bumped or scratched, I'll be hung up and beaten!"

"Of course," Qi Xue'er said proudly, "What can't your sister Xue do?"

It turns out that Qi Xueer can really drive a motorcycle.

Lu Manman hugged Qi Xueer's waist tightly. The fishy sea breeze blew past, and she could hear each other's heartbeats.

She felt an excitement she had never felt before.

"Xue'er," she said, not being used to calling this person, who was only two months and nine days older than her, "sister." "Do you know what addiction means?"

"What did you say?" Qi Xueer tried to excuse herself: "The wind was too strong!"

"Didn't you say!" Lu Manman said in such a loud voice for the first time, "You know everything!"

Qi Xueer suddenly turned her head and laughed arrogantly: "I'm kidding, my grades are terrible!"

"Ahhh!" Lu Manman suddenly hugged Qi Xueer even tighter, her head pressed hard against Qi Xueer's back. Lu Manman could even smell the faint scent of laundry detergent on Xueer's body. "Look ahead, this is very dangerous!"

"Okay, okay." Qi Xue'er was overjoyed: "Manman, you are so timid! Move your hand away, it's touching my chest!"

Lu Manman's face flushed red, but she finally let go a little.

They soon reached the Corniche.

Lu Manman's attention was completely attracted by the sea.

It's not that she hasn't been to the beach before. In fact, her mother took her to the beach on vacation abroad. But she had never been on a ride like this one.

"Have you ever watched idol dramas?" Qi Xueer suddenly asked.

"I've seen some." Lu Manman still read secretly.

"Then open your arms." Qi Xueer encouraged: "In TV dramas, everyone goes for a ride with their arms open."

"No!" Lu Manman shook her head: "I will fall down!"

"Then I'll ride slowly," Qi Xueer said softly, "Open your arms and imagine you are flying."

Lu Manman still plucked up the courage to do it.

Qi Xueer didn't lie to her, she drove very slowly. Lu Manman opened her arms, closed her eyes, and heard Qi Xueer's singing.

Blue sea, blue sky, and scorching sun.

All these scenes that only appeared in dreams came true today.

"Hold me tight, I'm going to speed up!"

“Ahhhhhh!”

After the ride, Lu Manman and Qi Xueer were both hungry.

They arrived outside a middle school.

"This is the high school I'm attending now," Qi Xueer introduced. "Does it look a bit shabby from the outside?"

Lu Manman shook her head.

"But the food outside my school is really good," Qi Xue'er said, pulling Lu Manman's hand as they ran forward, completely unaware of her strange expression. "Boss, two orders of fried potatoes, one order of fried rice cakes, and one order of small yellow croaker..."

Soon the small table was piled with various snacks.

If Lu's mother were here, she would definitely say with disdain: "High in oil and sugar, junk food."

Lu Manman took a bite and praised: "It's delicious!"

"Nonsense," Qi Xueer said proudly, "This skill is better than my mother's!"

After finishing her meal, Qi Xueer said with some regret, "The school is closed during the summer vacation, otherwise I would have taken you in to play."

"Oh." Lu Manman didn't feel regretful. What was so good about school?

"If you want to go, we can climb over the wall!" Qi Xueer said to herself.
