Chapter 969 Blind Date (Part 2)



What followed was a series of quick cuts, each of which showed Masako's smiling face.

After nine consecutive pictures, Masako collapsed in the heavy rain.

"Let me take you home."

The bartender's face was unclear in the heavy rain, as if covered by a layer of fog.

When I got home, I was greeted by my mother's endless nagging.

"I told you to bring an umbrella with you, why didn't you bring one?"

"I told you to dress conservatively, and you still didn't listen!"

"Why don't you ever listen to your mother?"

Masako slammed the door shut, covered her ears and yelled, "Mom, stop talking! I'm in this state, can't you just care about me?"

A few minutes later, my mother came in with a bowl of chicken soup: "Drink more, take a shower and change clothes, then we'll go on a blind date."

This was Ren Yi's third appearance on camera, and it was finally not in the bathroom.

He was dressed in a suit, looking very handsome, and sitting alone in the living room.

After Ren Yi stood up, he first took down the photos hanging on the wall, then tore down the photo frames and posters in the room one by one, swept them all into the corner, and then sat back to his previous seat.

He was obviously nervous, his legs were shaking.

"Is she here?" Ren Yi asked softly.

A woman's voice came from outside the house: "Almost done, are you ready?"

"Okay, Mom." Ren Yi scratched his head: "I won't let you down this time."

The woman outside didn't answer, but only let out a long sigh.

The wooden door of the living room was slowly opened, and Masako walked in, bending over, holding the handle of an umbrella.
