"It smells good?"
morning,
As soon as Li Dongyang opened the bedroom door, a fragrant aroma wafted out.
"I made some soup, come and have a taste."
Li Dongyang nodded, went to the restaurant, looked at the two dishes and a bowl of black chicken soup on the table, and looked at Xia Nuan with a puzzled expression.
"You did all of this?"
"Who else could it be?"
Li Dongyang thought it was Aunt Liang who made it.
"Aunt Liang asked for leave for me yesterday, saying she wanted to go back to her hometown early for the Chinese New Year."
Li Dongyang wondered, why did they leave in such a hurry?
Xia Nuan was also puzzled, and I found it strange too!
The young couple had just started getting intimate, and the suite's soundproofing wasn't very good, so it would be awkward for her to be alone with the two of them.
Since it was almost Chinese New Year, she simply went back to her hometown early.
Let this young couple completely let loose and be themselves.
"Aunt Liang has been with me for several years, but this year is the only time she has come home earlier than usual."
“In previous years, we had to wait until the 30th.”
Li Dongyang simply said "oh" and didn't say anything more.
He went to the table and looked at the dishes; they looked quite appealing.
With a hint of teasing, he asked, "When did you learn to cook?"
"What? You don't like that I can cook?"
"I like it, but I'm a little surprised."
"Didn't you say your hands were for taking pictures?"
"Of course it's for taking pictures. It's okay to do it occasionally, it's not like I do it every day."
"Not bad, you've improved."
Li Dongyang looked towards the kitchen.
He saw Xia Nuan wearing a floral apron in a pastoral style, serving soup. He had to admit that her back view was incredibly captivating. Li Dongyang couldn't help but step forward, hug Xia Nuan's waist from behind, and then rest his head on Xia Nuan's shoulder.
A fragrant aroma wafted over.
Why are you hugging me?
"I didn't get enough of hugging last night."
Li Dongyang clung to Xia Nuan like a spoiled child.
"Stop messing around, aren't you tired after all that trouble last night?"
Li Dongyang shook his head: "If you hadn't begged for mercy, I could have done it."
Xia Nuan shrugged her shoulders and quickly ladled out the soup.
Look how delicious the soup I made is!
Li Dongyang coughed lightly: "Don't worry, I'll say it's good even if it doesn't taste good, otherwise I'd be letting you down."
"Stop arguing and hurry up and serve the soup. Look, it's almost 8 o'clock."
When Xia Nuan saw Li Dongyang hugging her, she subconsciously noticed his hands starting to wander. Isn't that a perfectly normal thing between couples?
"Can you do it?"
Li Dongyang chuckled: "A man can't say no."
Xia Nuan: "You're such a chatterbox."
"This is black chicken soup. Aunt Liang told me to add more goji berries and remember to finish this whole bowl."
Li Dongyang looked at the large bowl of chicken soup, then turned to Xia Nuan incredulously: "Are you going to cook so much soup to feed dung beetles?"
"You've worked hard these past few days, let me give you something to eat."
“I think you’re the one who needs to be nourished,” Li Dongyang said while serving soup.
Xia Nuan served two bowls of rice.
"Okay, let's drink together then, and continue tonight."
Have you ever heard the saying, "There is no land that cannot be plowed, only oxen that die from exhaustion"?
Li Dongyang chuckled. "I'd be willing to work myself to death on your land."
Xia Nuan didn't know that Li Dongyang was such a smooth-talking man. His serious demeanor before they got together seemed to have been all an act.
"I think you're a typical repressed pervert."
Li Dongyang retorted while gulping down his soup, "What if I wasn't interested in you from the start? What would happen after we got married?"
"Marriage is for life."
"Isn't it just playing around if you don't intend to get married in everything you do?"
"The fact that I'm being a scoundrel with you means you're attractive. Have you seen me being a scoundrel with other women?"
No, I don't think so!
"So you should be happy."
Xia Nuan pinched him, "How come I never realized you were so good at making things up?"
"Hmm, it's not too late to find out now, is it?"
Okay, I'm not kidding anymore. "I had lunch with them at the company at noon."
"I also have something to do today, I'll be out at noon."
This was Xia Nuan's first time cooking, and she didn't know how good her skills were.
She watched with anticipation as Li Dongyang put the food into his mouth.
As the saying goes, the way to a man's heart is through his stomach.
Li Dongyang put both dishes into his mouth.
The expression on his face changed as he chewed the food.
Xia Nuan nervously watched his facial expression and asked, "How is it? Is it delicious?"
Li Dongyang remained silent for a long time, wanting to keep Xia Nuan in suspense and see how she would react.
I was a little excited just now.
Seeing Li Dongyang's expression, Xia Nuan felt as if a bucket of cold water had been poured over her from head to toe.
"It's delicious, very good, I really like it."
The observant Li Dongyang noticed two Band-Aid stickers on Xia Nuan's fingers, indicating that she had cut her hand while chopping vegetables.
She said with some heartache, "This is the best meal I've had in recent years, besides what my parents have cooked."
Xia Nuan asked doubtfully, "Really?"
Li Dongyang picked up the serving chopsticks, took a bite, and fed it to Xia Nuan.
"It really is good, I'm not lying to you."
Xia Nuan smiled slightly, "Yes, it's really good!"
"I didn't expect to succeed on my first attempt at cooking."
Li Dongyang: "If your hands appear on the screen, please don't cook anymore. It will break my heart."
This pot of soup needs to simmer for 3 hours, which means Xia Nuan must have gotten up around 4 a.m.
