Chapter 111: Is there pure friendship between men and women?

I stood there and scratched my head... In this situation, I couldn't go out or in.

Yang Xue came over, took my arm, and said, "Come in, I told you it's okay, don't think too much."

Yang Xue's mother also slowly came out and said with a smile: "Xiao Lin, let's go tomorrow. It's too late today."

I hurried forward and carefully supported her, thinking that the elders had said so... If I insisted on leaving, it would seem too ignorant. So I nodded, supported her and slowly walked into the house.

As soon as I entered the house, I looked around the room with curiosity. Yang Xue's house is indeed not big. As soon as I entered the door, there was a central hall with some simple tables and chairs, which looked quite old.

There is a kitchen on the right. Through the open door, you can see the pots, pans, and utensils inside... Although it is a bit simple, it has everything you need.

There is a room on the left, and there are no other rooms on the first floor... I walked into the room, and there was a bamboo bed inside. I looked at the quilt on the bed... It was neatly folded and looked very thick, and I couldn't help but feel a little confused.

There was a TV in the corner. It looked a bit old, probably having been used for many years. There was a table in the middle with a round basin underneath, and a charcoal fire was burning in the basin.

After we sat down, I looked at this place and felt a sense of familiarity... because my house used to be similar, but much bigger than this one, and then it was rebuilt.

I hesitated for a moment, then tried to find a topic to ask, "Auntie, do you live here now?"

Yang Xue's mother nodded: "Well... it's not convenient to go upstairs now, so I live here." As she spoke... she picked up the fire tongs and gently stirred the charcoal fire in the basin... the charcoal fire became more prosperous.

After a while...Yang Xue came over with a plate of peanuts, melon seeds and oranges.

I felt a little embarrassed for a moment because I didn't plan to come to Yang Xue's house, and I was in a hurry and forgot to buy anything.

Yang Xue seemed to see through my thoughts and said with a smile: "Don't think too much..."

...chatting for a while...

Yang Xue's mother said to Yang Xue, "Go take a shower and rest. Xiaolin will stay in your room...you can stay in your brother's room."

Yang Xue nodded and took me to the kitchen. There was a kettle in it. I poured some water and washed my face casually.

I said to her mother, "Auntie, you should also go to bed early."

Yang Xue pulled me to the main hall. There was a very narrow staircase at the back with no handrails. We went upstairs. She pointed to the small room near the main door, then to the room on the left. She said, "This is my room. My brother lives in the big one. If you need to go to the bathroom at night, call me and I'll take you there. It's outside."

"Okay... then I'll go to sleep. I really can't stand it anymore." I really couldn't lift my eyelids anymore.

Yang Xue said, "Good night," and went to her brother's room.

I came to the door of Yang Xue's room... reached out to turn on the light. The moment the light came on, I looked around the room... I saw the floor was covered with pink blankets, which looked furry. I took off my shoes before walking in... The room was small, but neatly arranged. There was a wooden wardrobe against the corner of the wall, and an old-fashioned storage box next to it... There was a square table in the middle of the room with a mirror on it. There were some books neatly placed around the mirror... There were no cosmetics. It seemed that Yang Xue also liked reading books. There was a wooden bed in the corner.

For some reason, I was so sleepy that I suddenly woke up. My curiosity seemed to be piqued and I started looking around again. I saw something stuck to the back of the wardrobe, with only a small part of it showing. I couldn't help but walk over to see what it was.

I gently moved the wardrobe and found that it was not very heavy. After moving it a little, I took a look and was surprised to see that the back was full of awards. Some were white, some were yellow.

Some of them are already a bit old, with "Classmate Yang Xue..." written on them. The font at the end is a bit blurred due to the erosion of time, but some can still be barely seen. It turns out that Yang Xue was a three-good student and her grades should be very good, but because of family reasons, she had to give up her studies, which is a pity.

I sighed inwardly, moved the wardrobe back to its original position... then walked to the square table and sat down. When I looked up, I saw the diary that I had seen before when she rented a house... I couldn't help but reach out with one hand... and picked up the diary, but I didn't think about opening it... After all, I don't like to pry into other people's privacy... I just picked it up subconsciously.

I was just about to put the diary back when Yang Xue opened the door and walked in. She saw me holding her diary and immediately walked over quickly. She snatched the diary away and glared at me with wide eyes. She said angrily, "How dare you read a woman's diary? Do you know how to respect other people's privacy?"

I was startled by her sudden action..but I still said with a firm look in my eyes: "I said I didn't mean it, believe me or not."

"Guess?" Yang Xue replied unhappily.

I smiled sheepishly and said, "I'm used to it, so I just acted on impulse. My ex-girlfriend's diary is still at my house."

"I'm your ex-girlfriend? Why are you looking at mine? How can it be the same?"

"Curious... a little curious, but just as I was about to put it back, you came in."

Yang Xue glanced at me and said, "Look at you, aren't you sleepy?"
