Chapter 20 "I Don't Want You to Wait"



When she heard that, she immediately reached out and slapped me on the head, neither too hard nor too soft, and said angrily, "That's it?"

Then she went on to say, "Can I ride a white horse like Brother Hu? That would be so romantic." As she spoke, she seemed to be lost in beautiful imagination, with a sweet smile on her face.

I smiled, took her hand, lowered my head and whispered.

She nodded, closed her eyes, and put one hand around my arm.

"Don't force it. It's fine like this now. I really like sitting quietly with you like this."

A trace of guilt flashed in my eyes. After hesitating for a moment, I finally spoke.

"You are a grown lady, wouldn't this be too much of a disadvantage for you?"

She covered my mouth, raised her head and stared into my eyes, as if she had noticed something.

"Little Wood, don't think too much."

After hearing what she said, I didn't say anything. She hugged my arm again, leaned on my shoulder and closed her eyes.

From time to time, I would look down at her, and every time I looked at her, I could see a slight smile on her face. That smile seemed to have magical power, filling my heart with warmth and happiness.

At that moment, I felt as if I owned the whole world. Everything else became unimportant. I just hoped that time could stay in this beautiful moment.
