I explained, "I'm just asking for your opinion. If it doesn't work for you, just ignore what I said."
Chang Yue said loudly, "That won't work." Then he hung up, obviously angry.
I was suddenly depressed. I was really a little impulsive. How could she agree to such a thing? If she asked a male friend to come back and stay in that room, I would beat that guy to death.

I ignored her. I don't know why, but I felt like I owed her something, and I kept thinking about what I could do to help her.

Yang Xue just looked at me quietly with a faint smile on her face.
After I finished doing all this, I forced a smile and said to her, "Let's go downstairs and have some noodles. It's my treat."
Yang Xue smiled and said, "Okay."
Neither of them spoke while eating noodles.
After we finished eating, I sent Yang Xue downstairs, watched her go upstairs, and said, "I'm leaving now."
Yang Xue turned around, smiled at me and nodded.
