Chapter 86: There is not much youth left to waste...

"Listen to my explanation." I chased after her, grabbed Chang Yue, stood in front of her... and said with a look of grievance.

Chang Yue stopped in his tracks when I pulled her like that. He frowned and stared at me for a moment. Then he nodded angrily and said bluntly, "Okay, I'll listen to your excuses. I want to see what you have to say!"

"I think we are all colleagues. It's not easy for everyone to be away from home. I will help if I can. I don't have any other intentions. I just want to help her solve the problem of having no place to live at the moment." I explained helplessly.

After hearing what I said, Chang Yue stared at me without blinking, sneered, and said, "Can you please stop thinking you're so great and want to be a hero! Can you just live your own life first? We're just staying at Zhu Wei's house temporarily now. It's not our own house, and you still have the mind to meddle in other people's affairs! What's more, that's a woman you have an ambiguous relationship with. How can I not think too much about it?"

When I heard her say this, I immediately shook my head like a rattle and said anxiously, "I don't have any feelings for her at all. Really, there is no ambiguous relationship at all. Please don't wrongly accuse me. You are the only one in my heart."

"What about her treatment of you? Do you dare to say no?" she questioned.

"I don't know. How would I know what others think? I'm not a narcissist who thinks all women have to revolve around me." I answered helplessly.

When Chang Yue heard my answer, he snorted coldly, shook my hand off, and walked forward again with a hurried and fast pace.

When I saw this, I quickly spoke again, quickening my pace to follow her. Next to her, I said, "Auntie, can we stop making trouble? I was just being soft-hearted and couldn't bear to see the suffering in the world. Please forgive me this time, and I promise to consider your feelings before doing anything next time, okay?"

Chang Yue didn't even turn around or stop walking. He just said to me, "Goody-goody!"

"Whatever you say is what it is. Please don't be angry, okay? At most, I can give you a kiss to calm you down, okay, dear." I said shamelessly, thinking that this slightly naughty way would make her happy.

"Who wants to kiss you? Get lost!" Chang Yue said angrily. But from her tone, although still fierce, she didn't seem as angry as before.

"Go back to bed! Let's go to the basement. Parking here is so expensive." I took her hand and walked towards the elevator. She didn't shake me off. I turned around and glanced at her. Then I said, "Are you hungry? Let's go get your favorite spicy hot pot?"

"I'm not hungry, I'm just full of anger." Chang Yue said unhappily.

I know that no matter how cool and charming she is, every woman has that, and I have it too, but I'm a real man, don't get me wrong.

"You'll have the energy to hit someone only after you're full. I'll let you beat me up later to vent your anger." I handed her the milk tea in my hand and helped her insert the straw. She hesitated for a moment, but still took it.

"No fight, thick-skinned... I'm not interested." She took a sip and snorted.

The little woman's attitude is clearly revealed...

I took her to a small food court, parked the car, and headed straight to the spicy hot pot restaurant. I ordered some of her favorite dishes. I wasn't full yet, so I ordered some too, though not much because I had just finished a bowl of noodles.

I sat down next to Chang Yue... looked at her... then smiled and said, "Do you know how much I missed you these past two days? I haven't eaten many bowls of rice... Oh, it's so painful... I've become so thin from hunger. Look, I don't have any abdominal muscles anymore." After saying that, I thought of the three bowls of rice I had at Yang Xue's house at noon. Did I feed them to the dog?

Chang Yue listened to what I said and rolled her eyes at me. She seemed less angry but she still kept on pestering me, "You missed me so much that you only sent me one message a day and I didn't reply. Then I had to call you later. And then the only time you called me was to discuss how to deal with your lover, right?"

I was so depressed after hearing this. I had no choice but to say, "What little lover? Don't say that. It's not good for other people's reputation."

Chang Yue may have realized that he had said something wrong... He covered his mouth... He looked at me with a silly face, like a child who had done something wrong... He didn't say anything else.

I looked at her, she was so cute, no longer that queenly look...but my heart was so warm...I was very happy that she was no longer angry...

In fact, if I put myself in her shoes, I would definitely not forgive her easily... or most likely not forgive her... Thinking about it this way, it is not easy for her to calm down so quickly.

After a long silence, I looked at her seriously, my eyes full of affection, and said softly, "It's great to have you."

Chang Yue smiled after hearing what I said. She reached out and pinched my face. Then she said with a smile, "You just found out?"

"I've always known it." I answered without hesitation.

Then the spicy hot pot was brought up by the boss. I thanked him and picked up a piece of corn with my chopsticks for Chang Yue.

Chang Yue and I ate and talked... Although we hadn't eaten together for just one day, this feeling was really great, warm and comfortable.

After dinner, we returned to the car. Chang Yue sat in the passenger seat, looked me over, and said with a smile, "That's great! You don't have to worry about getting wet on rainy days anymore. Be my full-time driver, Xiao Linzi. I'll be there whenever you call."

After I started the car, I drove out and replied with a smile: "That will cost you money. Can you afford it?"
