Chapter 70: The Cat

There is no girl who doesn’t love shopping. As the saying goes, as long as the express is on the way, life is full of hope.

So, last night Jiang Suisui's eyes were as big as copper bells, and she was obsessed with system shopping. Naturally, she woke up later than usual in the morning.

She climbed down from the bed sleepily, rubbed her eyes with her little hands, and walked slowly downstairs with her chubby little legs.

A faint noise reached her ears.

The sounds came one after another. Listening carefully, it sounded like the sound of my great-grandfather and great-grandfather arguing with each other.

When she reached the stairs and looked around, the scene in front of her made her little face reveal a helpless and funny expression.

The two old gentlemen who were usually highly respected were now like two immature children, comparing their new clothes with each other, and looking so serious as if they were arguing about something extremely important.

My grandparents also gathered together, their faces filled with happy smiles, and they were chatting about family matters in a lively manner.

Laughter and cheers echoed throughout the hall.

In the lobby on the first floor, gifts of all sizes were piled up like mountains.

At the dining table, Dad and Uncle Xu seemed to be talking about something, their expressions focused and serious.

Jiang Suisui blinked her big eyes, which were as clear as a mountain spring, and called out in a baby voice, "Dad."

This soft and sticky voice seemed to have magical power. In an instant, the originally noisy hall seemed to have pressed the mute button. Everyone's movements froze instantly, and then they all turned their eyes to Jiang Suisui. The scene was neat and uniform.

Old Master Jiang was the first to break the brief silence. He was smiling widely, and all the wrinkles on his face were stretched out. He said in a slightly exaggerated tone: "My dear grandson, you are finally awake! Look at this Tang suit of yours. Doesn't he look energetic, handsome and fashionable?" As he spoke, he deliberately turned around on the spot to show off his new clothes.

Old Master Gu was not willing to show weakness. He quickly reached out and gently pushed Old Master Jiang aside. Then he looked at Jiang Suisui expectantly, his tone full of pride and intimacy: "Suisui, look at your great-grandfather wearing the clothes you gave him. Doesn't he look particularly elegant and graceful?" As he spoke, he was also straightening the wrinkles of the clothes, striving to show his best side.

At this time, Gu Shi's little head was looking around in the crowd. When his eyes locked on Jiang Suisui, he immediately ran towards Jiang Suisui like a happy little bird, holding the cat in his arms, jumping and skipping.

He ran closer and carefully held the tabby cat in front of Jiang Suisui, his eyes gleaming with anticipation. He said, "Sister, look, this is a gift I picked especially for you! Do you like it?"

Jiang Suisui's eyes were fixed on the tabby cat in Gu Shi's arms.

This tabby cat is like a lively amber flame, burning quietly in the shadows.

Its fur is like an exquisite tiger-striped painting, with brown and black stripes of varying shades intertwined and entangled, extending from the top of the head to the tip of the tail, and each stripe is clear and rhythmic.

The ears are pointed and stand upright, and the hair on the back of the ears is short and hard, revealing alertness and sharpness. The small tuft of hair on the tip of the ear is like a star in the night sky, adding a bit of playfulness and agility.

A pair of round eyes, emerald green, like two clear gems, flashing a mysterious light in the darkness.

The little pink nose is always sniffing here and there, full of curiosity about everything around it. The wet tip of the nose sparkles with a subtle luster in the sunlight, like dewdrops rolling on flower petals in the early morning.

The beard is long and tough, with each strand clearly distinguishable, like a sophisticated detector, trembling slightly with its emotions and movements, sensing the slightest changes in the surroundings.

Its tail is long and powerful, with the tip slightly curled, like a flexible snake, sometimes swinging gracefully, sometimes twitching quickly, as if writing its own unique language.

The moment the tabby cat saw Jiang Suisui, it jumped out of Gu Shi's arms and walked towards Jiang Suisui.

It took a light step, its agile body like a cheetah prowling on the grassland, its muscles faintly visible under its smooth fur. Every step was carried with innate elegance and confidence, as if the whole world was under its control.

Jiang Suisui fell in love with it at first sight; it was indeed a tabby catkin.

Aloof and proud, he vowed not to be a slave.

Jiang Suisui gently bent down and picked up the tabby cat on the ground. She smiled sweetly at Gu Shi, with dimples faintly visible on her face. She said in a soft voice, "Brother, I like it very much. Thank you."

Then, the little girl seemed to suddenly remember something. She looked at her father with her bright eyes and asked crisply, "Dad, what do you think we should name it?"

When Jiang Yan heard his daughter calling him, he walked over with steady steps.

Hearing his daughter's question, he lowered his head slightly, his eyes showing a bit of pampering and indulgence, and said in a low and gentle voice: "This is a gift from your brother. Of course, you can call it whatever you want."

Jiang Suisui blinked, tilted his little head slightly to one side, and began to think seriously.

It is not okay to call Jiang rich overnight, Tongzi has already called him rich overnight.

After a moment, she said seriously, "How about Jiang Fa Cai? Jiang Tu Hao? Jiang Qian Duo?"

When the people in the hall heard this series of names that were full of "wealth", they were stunned at first, then they exchanged a tacit look with each other and couldn't help laughing in their hearts.

Wow, the case is finally solved. It turns out that Suisui in their family is a little money-grubber. Now he can’t hide it anymore.

Several elders couldn't help but chuckle, and the laughter echoed in the hall.
