Chapter 26 I'm hungry, cook for me.

"Come, come, welcome to our sect." Bai Hao personally carried things for Jiang Bai and his group, leading them from Baihe Town to the mountain gate.

Jiang Bai hesitated as he looked at the half-open gate.

He felt he had been tricked.

This kind of sect doesn't seem legitimate at all.

"What you see now is the distinctive mountain gate of our Luohai Sect. It has witnessed the ups and downs of our sect and is a treasure of great historical value," Bai Hao introduced enthusiastically.

He would never admit that he traded the missing half of the door with a woodcutter for a rabbit and ate it himself.

"It's clearly just a broken door," the red-clad boy next to Jiang Bai suddenly said.

Hey, you're pretty cocky!

Bai Hao looked him over and said with a smile, "Little friend, what's your name?"

"First, I'm already sixteen years old, not a little kid. Second, my name is Zheng Long." The boy in red said coldly.

"Steamer? How could anyone name something like that?" Bai Hao muttered casually.

"Clang!"

Zheng Long drew his sword again.

"Alright, alright, I was just kidding. How come you have no sense of romance at all? Be careful you won't be able to find a wife in the future." Bai Hao really wanted to pinch the little guy's cheek, but he held back.

He was afraid that Zheng Long would lose control.

"Next up is our Trial Square."

Passing through the mountain gate and climbing a long flight of stairs, a vast square unfolded before everyone—piled with all sorts of building materials, including wood, bricks, and sand. Not far away, several palaces were being dismantled by hired craftsmen.

"This is part of our sect's ongoing reconstruction; it will be completely transformed soon," Bai Hao quickly explained.

Good heavens, he had no idea that the sect was starting to rebuild and renovate so quickly. He had only been gone for a few days. If he hadn't known that it was going to be rebuilt, he would have thought it was going to be demolished.

Jiang Bai believed this, since he could see it.

Just as Bai Hao was about to show them around, a lazy yet extremely pleasant voice rang out.

"Bai Hao, where did you find these people?"

Everyone looked in the direction of the sound and saw Su Yuewan, dressed in white, slowly descending from the sky. A gentle breeze stirred a few strands of her black hair, and her elegant demeanor was like that of a fairy descending to earth.

What a nice view……

When Jiang Bai saw Su Yuewan for the first time, he was stunned, not to mention Zheng Long and his group of young lads, who all stared wide-eyed.

Only Bai Hao and Fan Ziming were used to such sights and weren't particularly amazed.

"Greetings, Sect Master." Fan Ziming bowed respectfully, while Bai Hao merely gave a perfunctory response.

Seeing this woman, I suddenly felt all my enthusiasm vanish...

?

Su Yuewan raised an eyebrow.

Before she could even say anything, Bai Hao started blaming himself?

"What's going on with these people?" Su Yuewan asked calmly, her gaze sweeping over Jiang Bai and the others.

"Sect Master, didn't you tell us to recruit disciples? These are our newly recruited disciples, and I guarantee that every single one of them will meet your requirements." Bai Hao patted his chest, looking very proud.

Amazed by my talent, aren't you? I've found you such a group of highly talented disciples.

"I instructed you to accept disciples, not refugees." Su Yuewan's expression was languid, but the more languid she was, the more an invisible sense of oppression she exuded.

Jiang Bai and the others immediately knelt down and bowed, saying, "You must be Sect Master Su, we have long admired you. Actually, we are disciples of the Tianxuan Sect in the Western Regions. Due to the sect war, we unfortunately fell into this predicament. We heard that your sect is recruiting disciples, so we came here to seek refuge with Sect Master Su."

"Disciples in distress from the Western Regions...do you think my Fallen Sea Sect is a shelter?" Su Yuewan's face suddenly turned cold.

"No!" Jiang Bai was so frightened that he quickly lowered his head.

Su Yuewan's aura was so terrifying that people didn't even dare to raise their heads.

Seeing that Su Yuewan seemed unhappy, Bai Hao became a little anxious.

[Damn it! What is this stupid woman doing? I finally managed to get this group of disciples back, and this is her attitude?]

Do you know how hard it was for me to find this group of people?

Bai Hao felt wronged. If Su Yuewan hadn't seemed genuinely angry, he definitely would have spoken up.

The problem is, Su Yuewan's aura is now making him feel a little scared.

So this is Su Yuewan's true aura.

"Since you have chosen to join the Falling Sea Sect, I hope you will remember that you are members of the Falling Sea Sect, not the Heavenly Profound Sect. Don't run back after only a year or two here. Otherwise, the Western Regions... it's not like I can't go there."

"No, absolutely not!" Jiang Bai quickly replied.

Su Yuewan gave them a cold look before speaking to Fan Ziming:

"Fan Ziming, take them downstairs and settle them in."

"yes!"

Fan Ziming received the order and then ran off quickly.

Anyone could tell that Su Yuewan was in a bad mood and that staying here would only get her scolded.

Bai Hao also tried to slink away, but Su Yuewan's next words startled him.

"Bai Hao, come with me."

Her voice was indifferent, and Su Yuewan turned and left after speaking.

Bai Hao's intuition told him that he had to go, or something terrible would happen.

"Gurgle."

Bai Hao followed nervously.

I've been away for three days now; I shouldn't have offended her in any way.

Is it because there's something wrong with the people I brought back? If so, they shouldn't have accepted them.

Or is she on her period?

Bai Hao followed Su Yuewan back to the backyard, completely bewildered.

In the backyard, Xiaoping and Axiu were preparing lunch. When they saw the two arrive, they were about to greet them when Su Yuewan silently ushered them out.

She knew that only she and Bai Hao were left in the courtyard.

"Um...Is there anything you need, Sect Master?" Bai Hao asked nervously.

Su Yuewan didn't speak, but turned around and sat on the rattan chair, her jade legs slightly crossed, and pointed with her fair chin to the long table next to her where the ingredients were placed.

"ah?"

Bai Hao was somewhat confused.

However, the ingredients are much more abundant now, with fish and meat, many of which were ingredients he wouldn't have dared to look at before—too expensive, he couldn't afford them.

Now that the sect is rich, the food has improved.

but,

Bai Hao still didn't understand Su Yuewan's meaning.

What does this mean? Are they trying to get me to reimburse my grocery expenses? No way! I don't have that kind of money!

[Does she know that I secretly took some gold coins from the sect that day?]

[Heaven and earth bear witness! I swear that all that money was used to recruit disciples, and besides, it wasn't even that much money that could be reimbursed.]

Su Yuewan was absolutely furious with him. It was so obvious, yet this guy still didn't understand?!

She was so angry she wanted to punch him.

But in the end, she still said somewhat coldly,

"I'm hungry, cook for me."
