They've arrived?
What's coming?
Just as Fan Ziming was about to ask Bai Hao what had happened, he suddenly heard a commotion in the distance.
Looking back, I saw a crowd gathered at the entrance of Bailu Town, and it was quite a lively scene.
As the group slowly approached, Fan Ziming realized that they appeared to be a group of refugees. Their clothes were filthy, as if they hadn't washed them for several days, and were covered in dust, making them look quite disheveled.
The group of refugees consisted of about thirty teenagers, with only one middle-aged man accompanying them.
Although they looked rather disheveled, their imposing presence was not to be underestimated. Walking together like a sharp sword, they made onlookers dare not get too close.
"They are..."
Just as Fan Ziming was wondering, Bai Hao got up, brushed the dust off his clothes, and said calmly, "They are all people who will soon become our junior brothers and sisters."
"Junior brothers and sisters?" Fan Ziming asked, puzzled.
Bai Hao continued, "They are not from Bailu Town, nor from the Southern Region. They came from the neighboring Western Region. Ten days ago, a major sect war broke out at the border between the Southern and Western Regions. Two third-rate sects fought each other, and one of them was defeated and almost completely wiped out. Only a few elite disciples survived by chance."
"So, they're all without sects now? And they're quite strong!"
Fan Ziming suddenly understood, and his face lit up with joy.
Elite disciples from third-rate sects, though not particularly strong, still reach the Foundation Establishment stage.
More importantly, their sect is gone, gone!
"Let's get to work." Bai Hao patted Fan Ziming on the shoulder, then stood in front of the table and suddenly shouted.
"The Falling Sea Sect is recruiting disciples! They're recruiting unwanted disciples, disciples in distress! Don't miss this opportunity!"
Fan Ziming: "..."
Good job.
Can we call someone over here?
Even if they call him, he'll probably just get a good beating, right?
Who would shout like that in front of disciples who have just lost their sect? This is clearly a blatant provocation!
As expected, upon hearing Bai Hao's words, the group of disciples in distress glared angrily, as if they were about to rush forward at any moment.
But the only adult in the group stopped them and shook his head.
The group of hot-blooded young disciples reluctantly put away their weapons and continued walking.
Can you really tolerate this?
Bai Hao blocked their path, a smile on his face, and said, "Everyone, do you have nowhere to go right now? How about considering coming to our Luohai Sect? We offer many discounts!"
No sooner had he finished speaking than a clear sword cry rang out. The red-clad youth at the very front of the group had already drawn his sword halfway, and it was about to be placed against Bai Hao's neck.
But the middle-aged man stopped him.
"Guan Hong, how dare you be rude!"
After being rebuked by the middle-aged man, the red-clad youth reluctantly sheathed his sword, but his eyes were filled with anger as he glared at Bai Hao.
It seemed that the middle-aged man held the most influence among this group, so Bai Hao immediately smiled at him and said:
"Elder, it seems you have nowhere to go right now. Why not consider our Luo Hai Sect? We are a large sect and would be very happy to welcome you."
"No need, we've already decided where to go." Jiang Bai shook his head, declining Bai Hao's invitation.
Although the man's previous words were rude, he knew he couldn't afford to provoke him now, so he held back.
"You've only decided where to go, but it's not confirmed yet. How do you know the place you've chosen will take you in?" Bai Hao smiled and began to persuade him.
"Have you heard of our Falling Sea Sect? Have you heard of the First Sword Saint, Su Yuewan? She is our sect leader."
"Su Yuewan...you are from the Falling Sea Sect?"
Jiang Bai was startled upon hearing the name.
“That’s right, it’s us.” Bai Hao was very satisfied with Jiang Bai’s reaction.
"I have heard about what happened to you, and I am deeply saddened by it. But the dead are gone, and you now need a reliable sect to take you in. Why not come to our Falling Sea Sect?"
Jiang Bai hesitated.
At first, he only regarded Bai Hao as a swindler and ignored him.
But now he's mentioned Su Yuewan's name...
"They've been frustrated by the Fallen Sea Sect, so of course they've come to our Divine Sea Sect!"
Just as Jiang Bai hesitated, the two Shenhai Sect disciples, one tall and one short, who had been hiding under a tree not far away, jumped out.
"Elder Jiang, we have long known about what happened to you, and we express our condolences. Therefore, our Divine Sea Sect is willing to accept you," the short man said with a pained and sincere expression.
"Shenhai Sect?"
Jiang Bai looked up in surprise.
Compared to the now-defunct Sea Sect, the Divine Sea Sect is more widely known today.
Moreover, Jiang Bai originally intended to join the Divine Sea Sect, because they had heard that the Divine Sea Sect accepted almost any disciple.
"Hey, we found them first! Your Divine Sea Sect is trying to steal them from me? Have you no shame!" Bai Hao immediately became agitated.
Where did these two come from? How dare they try to steal his man?
They're absolutely courting death!
But the short man ignored Bai Hao and continued to tempt Jiang Bai.
“Elder Jiang, their Falling Sea Sect is now just a third-rate sect, while our Divine Sea Sect is a first-rate sect. Can’t you tell which is better? Besides, we are actually here to pick you up on the orders of our sect leader.”
"When did the sect leader say that?" the tall man beside him suddenly asked in confusion.
