Chapter 110 Half a Jade Pendant, Past Events Like a Dream

Jiang Jiang, who was in Qin Nan's arms, struggled and made a soft, laughing sound. He reached out and wrapped his arms around Qin Nan's neck, protecting him.

Qin Nan stared at the woman so close to him, his body paralyzed with fear, his heart pounding wildly, desperately craving something that nearly drove him to madness.

In the blink of an eye, Qin Nan's eyes darkened, and he grabbed the woman's neck with one hand. The woman was slightly startled, then looked at Qin Nan in shock and disbelief, screaming and struggling.

But it had no effect!

The woman dressed in a gorgeous wedding gown was crushed by Qin Nan, and half of a ring-shaped jade pendant inlaid with gold thread appeared where she disappeared.

After dealing with the wedding procession, the three members paused to watch the unexpected turn of events.

The next moment, the jade pendant flew into Qin Nan's brow with a "whoosh".

Qin Nan swayed and knelt down with a thud. Bai Hao instantly regained his strength, teleported to Qin Nan's side, supported her, and pulled her into his arms.

Li You stepped forward and carried Jiang Jiang down, while Qiong Ruiheng stared longingly at the unconscious Qin Nan.

Qiong Ruiheng: "Brother Bai Hao, is Brother Anan alright?"

Bai Hao frowned and remained silent; he didn't know the answer to this question.

Unable to get a reply, Qiong Ruiheng's face darkened, and her heart burned with anger.

He really wants to fight right now!

"Aww—"

The previously forgotten temple keeper, still roaring in anger without reason, was about to attack again.

This time, Bai Hao simply raised his hand and crushed it, causing its soul to vanish.

Upon hearing this, Qiong Ruiheng's small body stiffened, and he hid behind Li You.

He doesn't want to fight anymore!

As the temple keeper disappeared, the resentment around the Moon Goddess Temple gradually thinned out, and the wedding procession that had been scattered on the ground turned to ashes like pieces of paper.

In the blink of an eye, the bright and beautiful temple in front of me revealed its original appearance.

The dilapidated temple was filled with rotten, blackened statues covered in cobwebs, and the interior was covered in dust and cluttered with debris.

The temple courtyard was covered with moss and overgrown with weeds, with broken walls and a musty smell permeating the air.

The stone steps leading up the mountain are worn and incomplete by time, and are buried by wild grass.

The hole that Tanuki Yu dug before is still there, and nothing has changed.

Those villagers who were misled were all settled in Willow Village, and Willow Village is no longer an illusion, but a real place.

Bai Hao was unaware of what had happened to Qin Nan, but there was nothing wrong with his body; he was just in a normal drowsy state.

He picked up Qin Nan and led Li You and the others down the mountain first. Luo Lin, who had been left behind in the main hall, was nowhere to be seen. The bride who had been humiliated was also taken away. And the one that Qin Nan crushed was Song Huiru, the one Bai Hao had mentioned.

However, that was not her true form, but merely a wisp of ghost. After a thousand years of cultivation, she had become a Rakshasa.

The rules of this world are: ten-year-old vengeful ghosts, hundred-year-old zombies, thousand-year-old Rakshasa, and ten-thousand-year-old Asuras.

Although Song Huiru was also a vengeful ghost, she had been dead for too long, and the resentment she had accumulated was overwhelming. Because of her overwhelming strength, she transcended the ghost class and became a rare red-clad Rakshasa.

However, despite this, the method to deal with her is quite simple.

Ultimately, she was just harboring resentment, unable to let go of her hatred, and unable to find peace of mind. Once she got her revenge and her obsession and resentment were gone, she would naturally dissipate into the world.

Bai Hao learned of these things after Qin Nan fell into a coma, seemingly because Qin Nan had integrated that half of the jade pendant into him, Qin Nan's ability to shield Bai Hao's talent seemed to have weakened considerably.

Bai Hao looked down at Qin Nan. If he didn't care about Luo Lin's life or death, Bai Hao wouldn't care either. He would help Qin Nan get his things after Song Huiru disappeared.

Bai Hao sighed silently. Although he was displeased, he still didn't want to disappoint Qin Nan, who cared about such things.

The group arrived at the foot of the mountain. The actual Liu Village had only about forty households, and some houses were abandoned and vacant. Only about twenty households were actually inhabited.

Bai Hao placed Qin Nan on a bamboo chair in a family's courtyard and took out a blanket he had prepared earlier from his backpack to cover her.

Li You handed Jiang Jiang to Qiong Ruiheng to hold, telling him to stay and watch over Qin Nan while he and Bai Hao went to wake up the villagers.

Bai Hao took out an inkstone-like object he had obtained from the funeral shop owner in town, lit it in front of the gathered villagers, and then used incense as a guide and red candles as a supplement, using the thin smoke emanating from the inkstone to find someone in the crowd.

If Qin Nan were still conscious, she would recognize that this person was Chen Bao.

Bai Hao took out a talisman, made hand seals and drew a talisman to remove the visual obstruction. After all, the conditions were limited, and this was the only way to awaken these people.

Bai Hao put away the inkstone, carried Chen Bao and Li You back to the courtyard where Qin Nan was, and waited for the two to wake up.

————

Qin Nan curled up in a ball, his body immersed in the warm and comfortable liquid. He closed his eyes and slept soundly, but perhaps he was having a nightmare, his hands and feet kept flailing.

Just then, he felt something beside him, as if someone was embracing him with their body, warm and comforting, and he fell asleep again.

After an unknown amount of time, the liquid in which Qin Nan was located suddenly rippled violently, and then some protective barrier was cleaved open, causing the liquid that could not be contained to flow out instantly.

Qin Nan was startled awake by the sudden chill and abruptly opened her eyes.

In the deep, ancient forest, towering trees fill the view, and unknown birds call out, their calls echoing through the woods.

Qin Nan looked up at the trees, and as he tried to sit up, he found it difficult. When he reached out, he realized that his hand was gone! In its place was a soft, fleshy paw with black fur trimmed with gold.
