Chapter 1170 Doctor Fang

After dinner, Chen Ge lay on the bed with a dull look on his face, silently gazing at the paradise outside the window.

Compared to the first time he woke up from a coma, Chen Ge became even more silent. Perhaps in the eyes of the doctors, he now better meets the hospital's requirements.

“Bang!”

The door of the ward was roughly pushed open, and two nurses and Xu Wan walked in: "Chen Ge, it's time to take medicine."

"Where's Doctor Gao? Isn't it Doctor Gao who usually dispenses the medicine?"

"He has to take care of other things tonight, so I'll take his place today." Xu Wan's voice was very gentle, and there was nothing unusual about it. After seeing Chen Ge swallow three white pills, she continued, "The hospital is in serious shortage of wards. This is your new roommate, you can't scare him away again!"

Two nurses dragged a pale middle-aged man into the ward and arranged him on Zuo Han's bed.

"You guys get to know each other, have a good rest, and be careful not to run around at night." After Xu Wan said this, she left with two nurses, leaving only two patients in the ward.

Chen Ge looked at the other person curiously. His new roommate looked to be in his forties. There were not many wrinkles on his face, but his hair was completely white.

He seemed to have undergone all kinds of inhuman torture, his mental state was extremely bad, and his body was trembling slightly.

"Brother, what should I call you?" Chen Ge took the initiative to greet the other party. He suspected that this middle-aged man in his forties with completely white hair was also a "medicine" prepared for him by the hospital.

Since it is a medicine, it must have appeared in Chen Ge’s memory before, and maybe it can help Chen Ge remember something.

“Can you hear me?”

After shouting several times, the middle-aged man turned his head and looked at Chen Ge. There was a deep fear in his eyes, and he lowered his head the moment he saw Chen Ge.

"Do you know something?" This man's personality was completely different from Zuo Han's. He didn't say a word and there was no way to communicate.

Chen Ge didn't know the man's name, nor did he know what disease he had. He only knew that the man seemed to be very afraid of him.

It was late at night, but the sounds of footsteps and carts passing by could be heard in the hospital corridor.

Around one in the morning, there was a knock on the door of Chen Ge's ward, and the middle-aged man sleeping on the sickbed near the door sat up immediately.

There were five knocks on the door in quick succession.

"One more time than last night? Does this knock on the door represent the number of days I'll be staying in the hospital?"

The corridor outside the door soon returned to calm. The middle-aged man mustered up the courage to walk to the door, opened it a crack, and looked outside.

"Hey! Is there anyone outside?" Chen Ge suddenly asked, startling the man.

He gently closed the door of the ward, then shook his head at Chen Ge: "There is no one outside the door."

The middle-aged man's throat seemed to be injured, and his voice sounded very awkward. His expression was very painful when he spoke.

"Brother, it's fate that we can live together. What should I call you?" Chen Ge didn't expect the middle-aged man to talk to him. He felt that this was a good opportunity to bring the two closer.

"My last name is Fang."

"Brother Fang, what illness brought you here for?" Chen Ge was curious.

"Paranoia. I used to be an ENT doctor. After I got sick, I always felt like there was something foreign inside my body, just like now." The middle-aged man pointed to his ears and mouth. "I felt like there were snails crawling in my ears. I also felt like there was a syringe full of medicine in my throat. I know it's just my hallucination, but it feels too real."

Combined with the hospital's previous actions, Chen Ge's eyes changed when he looked at Dr. Fang. He felt that those things might really exist in Dr. Fang's body, and this might not be an illusion.

Doctor Fang talked more at night. It was unclear whether it was because he was eager to communicate with others or because Chen Ge had made him let down his guard.

"Brother Fang, can I take a look at your throat? You feel like there is a syringe in your throat, what if there is really something inside?" Chen Ge sat up from the bed.

Doctor Fang looked at Chen Ge, his expression was a bit complicated.

The fact that Chen Ge could say such words showed that he was obviously a mental patient, but what surprised Dr. Fang was that he actually heard a hint of concern in Chen Ge's words.

"Is this considered caring between fellow patients?" Doctor Fang labeled Chen Ge in his mind - a kind-hearted madman.

"Open your mouth." Chen Ge moved to the side of Doctor Fang's bed. He looked at Doctor Fang's throat, and his pupils began to shrink involuntarily.

The deep esophagus seemed like a black hole with no end. Chen Ge's gaze was drawn there, and his entire body seemed to be slowly drawn into Doctor Fang's mouth.

His consciousness continued to sink, and when his pupils shrank to the limit, he saw a human face deep in Dr. Fang's throat!

The face was covered with flesh and blood, with eyes tightly closed, hidden in the deepest part of the esophagus.

There is a person in Dr. Fang’s throat!

His body was pushed away, and Chen Ge's pupils returned to normal. He looked at Dr. Fang with surprise.

"Why are you looking at me like that? Is there really a syringe in my throat?" Doctor Fang sat on the edge of the bed, feeling uneasy when Chen Ge looked at him.

"There is no syringe, but I saw a human face in your throat. He looks very much like you, with his eyes closed and a pale face." Chen Ge gestured with his hands.

"There's a face in my throat?" Doctor Fang felt inexplicably frightened at first, then he shook his head: "It seems that your condition is much more serious than mine. How can there be a face in the human body?"

"It's true." Chen Ge did not argue with Dr. Fang on this issue. He sat back on his bed and began to think about which one was the real Dr. Fang, the Dr. Fang in front of him or the Dr. Fang in Dr. Fang's throat.

The ward fell silent, and neither patient spoke again.

With the sun shining on his face, Chen Ge slept very comfortably last night.

"The mornings in this world are really addictive." Chen Ge muttered in a low voice that no one could understand, his eyes fixed on the paradise outside the window.

Not long after, the door of the ward was pushed open and Dr. Gao and Xu Wan walked in.

After not seeing him for a night, Dr. Gao looked even more haggard.

"Did you have a nightmare last night?" Doctor Gao didn't call Chen Ge's name, but went straight to the point. He seemed to be in a hurry.

"No, I slept until dawn." Chen Ge hesitated for a moment, but still asked: "Doctor Gao, why do you always ask me if I have nightmares?"

"Dreams can often reflect a person's mental state." Doctor Gao scribbled on a document. It seemed to be Chen Ge's medical record. There was a number written at the end of the document. Chen Ge could not see the first two digits of the number. He only saw the last digit of the number was "1".
