Chapter 36 Thrilling

After more than ten seconds, Brother Feng finally came to his senses. He pointed weakly at the bathroom and said, "Mirror..."

These two simple words seemed to have a unique magic. Chen Ge's face changed slightly. He dragged Brother Feng to the bed and went into the bathroom himself.

The mirror on the wall had been smashed and glass fragments were scattered everywhere.

After Heshan fainted, Chen Ge covered all the mirrors in the haunted house with black cloth, and everything was peaceful for a while. Now a new scene is opening, and he was careless for a moment, and this happened.

For any entertainment facility, once it is labeled as having safety hazards, it will become difficult to continue operating, and Chen Ge is very clear about this.

He picked up a lens on the ground and looked at himself in the fragments: "We must get rid of this thing as soon as possible!"

Chess pieces are divided into black and white, people can be good or evil, and the same goes for ghosts.

The thing in the mirror had obvious malice towards living people. Chen Ge could sense that it was extremely aggressive and had ulterior motives.

Heshan fainted and Brother Feng was so scared that he smashed the mirror. These two unexpected "accidents" sounded the alarm for Chen Ge and made him feel a sense of urgency.

Covering the mirror with black cloth is not a long-term solution. The things in the mirror have become an obstacle to the rapid development of the haunted house.

The mirror was smashed, and there was nothing suspicious left in the bathroom. Chen Ge walked around and came out.

He held the hammer tightly in his hand and sat next to Brother Feng: "Can you tell me what happened just now?"

After resting for a few minutes, Brother Feng's breathing finally became smooth, but his face was still frighteningly pale: "I can't really explain it."

"It's okay, just say whatever comes to mind." Chen Ge looked at Brother Feng. Unlike Heshan who was frightened to death, this guy's psychological endurance was obviously much stronger. At least he dared to resist.

Brother Feng tried to sit up from the bed. His face looked much better, but the fear in his eyes had not diminished at all. "I was being chased by your staff at the time, so I hid in this room in a hurry. I was fine at first, but then I vaguely heard someone calling me."

"Did it call your name?"

"No, but I can feel it is calling me." Brother Feng grabbed his hair and said, "The sound is in this room. I searched for a long time before I found the source of the sound."

At this point, the fear in his eyes became even stronger: "The sound came from the bathroom mirror. I seemed to be able to hear it, but I couldn't hear it clearly. I don't know what it said, I just know it's related to me."

"What happened next?" Chen Ge kept every word Brother Feng said in his heart. This valuable experience could help him understand the monster in the mirror more deeply.

"Then I stood in front of the mirror, trying to figure out what was going on. I tried to take the mirror down, but when I touched it, the sound in my ear suddenly got louder, and my mind started to get a little unclear. I looked at myself in the mirror, and the more I looked, the less it looked like me." Brother Feng got to the point. He glanced at the bathroom with lingering fear, as if there was a monster hiding there that might jump out at any time: "I stood in front of the mirror, and the person reflected in the mirror was not me. Normally, I would be scared and want to stay away, but the thing that scares me the most when I think about it now happened."

"What is it?"

Brother Feng said very seriously: "At that time, I didn't feel any fear or dread. Everything seemed normal. My body began to lean towards the mirror, and my face was almost touching the mirror. I could clearly see the face in the mirror approaching me. It was exactly the same appearance, but it made me feel very strange. I couldn't tell what was wrong, but I always felt that the face in the mirror didn't belong to me. My thoughts became more and more confused. My brain didn't issue any instructions, but my hand pressed directly on the mirror. I felt like I wanted to get into the mirror, but that wasn't right. It seemed that I was trapped in the mirror and was trying hard to get out."

Chen Ge had a similar experience when doing a nightmare-level daily task. Looking back at the video on his phone, his body was slowly leaning towards the mirror at that time: "So how did you get rid of it later?"

"It was because of the mirror." Brother Feng gave Chen Ge an unexpected answer: "I had no idea what I was doing at that time. When my face was about to touch the mirror, I suddenly saw a puppet lying behind me through the mirror."

"Muppet?"

"Yes, it's the same as the puppets I saw in other rooms in the building, palm-sized, with beards sewn on." Brother Feng nodded and gestured with his hands: "Suddenly there was a puppet behind me, and I started to get scared. The fear was like a fire burning. I had only one thought in my mind at the time - leave quickly, but my body wouldn't listen. My will and body started to fight, and it felt like sleep paralysis."

Brother Feng said it calmly, but Chen Ge could hear the danger in it.

"Later, I suddenly heard Heshan's shouting on the second floor, and I woke up all of a sudden, as if I had just woken up from a dream." The fear in his eyes dissipated a lot: "I was really scared to the extreme, so I picked up a chair and smashed the lens. It was definitely an instinctive reaction at the time. Your horror house is so scary that I forgot I was visiting a haunted house."

At this point, Brother Feng seemed to suddenly remember something. He waved his hand at Chen Ge and said, "I told you that this is all true. I have absolutely no intention of exaggerating or shirking responsibility. I will compensate you for the original price of the mirror."

"You don't have to pay for the mirror. The best outcome for me is that you're not hurt." Chen Ge stood up and paced around the room: "Where is the puppet you saw now?"

Brother Feng hesitated: "I think I kicked it under the bed. That's also your prop, right? Sorry."

Lifting the bed sheet, Chen Ge took out the puppet with footprints on it and helped it to dust off: "You should thank this puppet. It saved you just now."

"The puppet saved me? Well...thank you. Can I leave now?" Brother Feng shrank back, his face becoming paler and paler. He felt that the owner of the haunted house in front of him was not normal, but when you are under someone's roof you have to bow your head, so he said thank you reluctantly.

"If I tell you that everything you just experienced was not a haunted house prop or special effect, but real, would you believe it?" Wearing a blood-stained doctor's uniform and holding a tattered rag doll in his arms, Chen Ge tilted his head and looked at the college student in front of him.

Poor Brother Feng, who is nearly 1.9 meters tall, is now huddled in the corner of the bed like a little girl, hugging his legs, with a helpless look on his face: "So do you think I should say I believe it? Or should I say I don't believe it?"
