Chapter 463 Where are you going?

After taking the garbage out of Ward 3, Chen Ge went to the bathroom to wash his face and soon got back to his busy work.

At 6:30 in the evening, the haunted house stopped receiving tourists. Chen Ge asked Xu Wan and Xiao Gu to clean up. He found Uncle Xu and asked for the key to the park's truck, preparing to bring the dolls back at night.

After dealing with these matters, he went underground again and found Dr. Chen.

The two exchanged contact information, and then Chen Ge blindfolded Dr. Chen with a black cloth, led him out of the haunted house, and took a taxi to the edge of the western suburbs.

The journey didn't take long. When Chen Ge returned to New Century Park at around seven o'clock, Xu Wan and Gu Feiyu had already cleaned the entrance to the haunted house.

"Thank you for your hard work. Leave the rest to me." Chen Ge took the broom, took out his phone and called Qian Guigen again: "Boss Qian, please prepare the materials. I may have to stay up all night in the workshop to make the first batch of dolls."

"Okay, I'll wait for you at the workshop." Boss Qian was very straightforward. When his shop was about to close down, Chen Ge's appearance gave him hope.

After hanging up the phone, Chen Ge looked back and found that Xu Wan and Xiao Gu had not left: "Do you two have anything else to do?"

"You are the boss, but I always feel that you are more tired than your employees. You either stay up late or work all night every day." Xu Wan, who had taken off her coffin, looked cute, but she had matured a lot compared to when she first came to work in the haunted house.

"Brother Chen, do you think we can help you in any way?" Xiao Gu also came over: "Anyway, I have nothing to do when I go home so early."

Chen Ge was a little touched by the employees' initiative to ask for overtime. He thought about it and realized that it would be a big problem to carry twenty dolls, so he did not refuse.

"Okay, come with me, we'll try to finish it before twelve o'clock."

After closing the door of the haunted house, Chen Ge drove the amusement park's truck and brought Xu Wan and Gu Feiyu to the workshop.

Chen Ge had already completed part of the mold in the morning. He simply taught Gu Feiyu and Xu Wan what to do next and left the less technical tasks such as filling and carrying to the two of them.

At 11 o'clock in the evening, the first batch of twenty dolls were ready.

These models were made of the best materials and were of the same proportions as real people. However, in order to save time, Chen Ge did not put makeup on the models or match their clothes.

Several people worked together to move the puppet models onto the truck and took them all back to the horror house.

"I will take care of the rest of the process myself, you guys go home quickly."

Chen Ge glanced at the time. After twelve o'clock tonight, the haunted house will undergo its third expansion, and the horror house will be officially upgraded to a thrilling maze. He was worried that he would make some noise and arouse the suspicion of Xu Wan and Xiao Gu.

"Boss, how long are you going to move all these dolls by yourself?" Xiao Gu looked at the dolls scattered all over the corridor of the haunted house. It was really scary to see them at night.

"I will put makeup on them one by one later, so that they can be put into use tomorrow." Chen Ge thanked the two and closed the door of the haunted house.

"How long are you going to finish this by yourself?" Gu Feiyu wanted to say something, but unfortunately Chen Ge had already started working: "You're working too hard. It turns out that no one in this world can succeed easily."

"Stop sighing. See you tomorrow morning." Xu Wan waved her hand and left.

Gu Feiyu was the only one left in the park. Compared with the hustle and bustle during the day, the park seemed empty and gloomy at night.

The image of puppets piled up in all directions flashed through his mind, and he shuddered. "The boss is the boss after all. If it were me, I probably wouldn't be able to stand staying in this place for a night."

Xiao Gu walked out of the New Century Park. It was now 11:30 in the evening and the buses had stopped running long ago. The place he rented was in the suburbs, a bit far from the New Century Park.

"Take a taxi back?" Gu Feiyu touched his pocket, feeling a little distressed. He had been working in the city for a few months and had only received a salary from Chen Ge once. He also spent a lot of money on rent and hospitalization. He usually didn't even want to order takeout and always cooked for himself.

"There's nothing to do anyway, so just walk slowly towards home. Walk as far as you can. When you get tired, you can take a taxi. At least you can save some money." Gu Feiyu put on his headphones and walked along the road towards the suburbs.

The night wind blew in through my sleeves, it was a little cold, there were few pedestrians, and the street lights on both sides were getting dimmer.

After walking for about 40 minutes, at about 12 o'clock in the morning, Gu Feiyu suddenly heard someone asking him where he was going and whether he wanted to get in the car.

He took off his headphones, looked around, and found that there was no one around.

"Strange? Could that sound come from the headphones?" He put on his headphones and listened to the song again, but there was no other voice: "What's going on?"

Gu Feiyu couldn't figure it out. The lights on both sides of the road seemed to become dimmer. There was no one around and he walked forward alone.

The buildings gradually became lower and more desolate. This was clearly the road he usually took to go home, but it gave him a different feeling.

After walking for another ten minutes, Gu Feiyu came to a fork in the road. One side was the familiar way home, while the road on the other side looked unfamiliar, as if he had never seen that road before.

"Where are you going?" Hearing that voice again, Gu Feiyu took off his headphones. When he looked to his side, he found that a bus had come up behind him at some point.

The car body was shabby and looked quite old. The headlights were not on. There were a few passengers sitting scattered inside. Most of them had their heads down and seemed to be playing with their mobile phones.

"It's almost one in the morning, why are there still buses?" Gu Feiyu felt inexplicably nervous. He retreated to the side of the road, but before he took a few steps, his cell phone suddenly vibrated.

When he clicked on it, Gu Feiyu found that Chen Ge had sent him a red envelope with a voice message below.

"Xiao Gu, thank you for your hard work. This is overtime pay."

Chen Ge's voice sounded particularly warm in the cold night. Xiao Gu received the red envelope and prepared to tell Chen Ge about the strange things he had encountered. But before he could get through to Chen Ge, he looked back and found that the bus had already gone far away.

The car entered the road next to him which looked unfamiliar to him.

Standing at the intersection, Gu Feiyu witnessed the bus leave, the street lights on both sides returned to normal, and his body was not so cold anymore.

"How strange." Gu Feiyu didn't dare to continue running around alone. He waited at the intersection for a long time and stopped a taxi.

"Where are you going?"

"The apartment building next to Minghuazhuang." Gu Feiyu was still thinking about the bus. He asked the driver uncertainly, "Brother, when you drove over, did you see a bus passing by?"

"No." The driver glanced at Gu Feiyu in the rearview mirror and he also muttered, "I say, what's wrong with you young people recently? A few days ago, I picked up a tourist in the eastern suburbs, who was similar to you. When I got in the car, he asked me if I had seen a moving company truck passing by. The road is so wide, and there was no car passing by. Can't you check for yourself?"
