Chapter 55 Five Girls

The chair is placed in the middle of the corridor. If you want to enter the second floor, you will inevitably pass by it.

Chen Ge still vividly remembered what happened at the entrance of the girls' dormitory. This chair seemed to actively approach living people.

He hid at the corner of the stairs, a little hesitant.

"This chair has a backrest. It is completely different from the chairs in the classroom at the activity center. It must have been moved here from somewhere else. But why did they leave this chair in the activity center?"

Judging from the style, the chairs on the second floor of the activity center are the same as those in the girls’ dormitory. They should be the dormitory chairs distributed by the school to each student.

Chen Ge used his mobile phone to take a picture of the doorplate of the room opposite. There was a word like vocal music written on it. "The dance studio is not on the second floor. How about I go directly to the third floor? But what if there is also a chair in the middle of the corridor on the third floor? Then it will chase me to the corner of the stairs, and when I go downstairs, I will be blocked by the chair on the second floor..."

The somewhat creepy scene flashed through his mind. Chen Ge thought for a moment and did not avoid it. He held the tool hammer tightly and walked into the corridor on the second floor.

The dark corridor had no end in sight. The doors on both sides were all closed. The windows on the doors were covered with dust and were blurry, making it impossible to see clearly what was hidden in the classroom.

Chen Ge walked slowly. He did not ignore other things just because the chair was right in front of him.

In fact, in Chen Ge's opinion, the idle classrooms on both sides are actually more frightening.

"I don't know how long it has been since anyone has come into this place. The floor tiles are covered with dust and the footprints are hard to get rid of. If the person following me also enters the activity center, he will definitely find me." In such a strange environment, Chen Ge did not forget to be alert to the third party who might appear: "I have to speed up and make a quick decision!"

The light of the mobile phone swayed as Chen Ge's arm moved, and he was getting closer and closer to the chair.

"It seems there is nothing to be afraid of. How can a chair kill me?" Chen Ge walked around the chair. It felt to him like an ordinary chair.

"Should I take it apart and have a look?" Chen Ge thought so in his mind, and he did so with his hands. He raised the tool hammer to knock the chair down, and suddenly saw something written under the chair.

"Qian Yujiao? It sounds like a girl's name."

The appearance of this name further confirmed Chen Ge's previous guess that the chair was indeed not originally owned by the activity center, but belonged to a certain person.

When the school holds a large-scale event, students are asked to bring their own chairs. In order to prevent confusion, many people write their names on the bottom of the chairs.

"Is there also a name under the chair in the girls' dormitory?" Chen Ge remembered the name. After thinking for a while, he decided not to smash the chair, but put it in the classroom next to it. "The longer I stay here, the more uncomfortable I feel. I'd better go to the third floor."

He returned the same way and went up the stairs to the third floor.

There was nothing in the empty corridor. Chen Ge pushed open the doors of several classrooms. The desks and chairs inside were piled at the back of the house. Some walls were newly painted, and two different colors could be clearly seen.

"The school is about to be closed, why do we need to repaint it now? Who are we redoing it for?" Chen Ge's experience in Ping'an Apartment instantly gave rise to an idea: "The new paint should be to cover up something."

He scratched the wall with a hammer, and what surprised him was that the wall behind the new paint was normal, without the bloodstains or women's hair as he had imagined.

"It won't be that simple." He walked around several classrooms and found that not every classroom had a fresh coat of paint, and the few places that had been freshly painted were very close to the drainage pipes in the building.

"Before the school was closed, the drainage system of this building should have been reinstalled." Chen Ge looked up and said, "The classrooms on the first and second floors of the activity center show signs of having been used. Only the classrooms on the third floor seem to have been out of use before the school was closed."

The desks and chairs were piled together, there was not even a piece of chalk on the podium, and some classroom doors were even locked.

"Haunted? Murder? A safety hazard?" There are many reasons for being banned, and Chen Ge couldn't be sure. He left the classroom and walked towards the fourth floor.

Walking on the stairs, Chen Ge looked back from time to time, but the chair did not follow him.

When he reached the middle of the third and fourth floors, he found a wooden board on the stairs with the words "No Entry" written on it, and several ropes were tied around the board.

Having come this far, how could Chen Ge turn back just because of a broken wooden board? He put the board aside and went directly under the rope.

Arriving at the fourth floor, Chen Ge saw at a glance that there was a house number with peeling paint hanging on the door facing the stairs.

"Dance room!" After groping around in the activity center for so long, he finally found the place where the red dancing shoes were most likely to appear.

The layout of the fourth floor is different from that of other floors. Several classrooms are connected and merged into one room.

After tearing off the seal on the door and prying open the lock, Chen Ge pushed open the door of the dance studio that had been sealed for several years.

Time seems to have forgotten this place, and everything remains the same as it was a few years ago.

The smooth wooden floor was covered with dust and there was an indescribable strange smell in the house. It seemed that a large amount of deodorant had been sprayed here, but because the air was not circulating and it had been sealed for so many years, the smell of the deodorant itself had deteriorated into a new stench.

Chen Ge walked into the room along the wall. This dance studio was very professional. The wooden floor was covered with rubber to facilitate students to practice dancing. As if they were afraid that the sound of the speakers would be too loud and affect other classrooms downstairs, they covered the walls with sound-absorbing cotton and installed sound insulation panels.

"This is the first time I've seen such a large dance studio." Chen Ge raised his cell phone and shone it into the distance.

There is a wall-mounted handle on the wall, the height of which can be adjusted freely. Below is a row of low seats for students to rest.

At the other end of the dance studio, six floor-to-ceiling mirrors are placed side by side. The mirrors are seamlessly joined together. Each mirror is about one meter wide and about two meters high.

"I almost forgot that there are mirrors in the dance studio." Looking at the floor-length mirror covering the entire wall, Chen Ge took a breath. In the middle of the mirror, there were three chairs with backrests.

"Three appeared at the same time?" Chen Ge gritted his teeth and took the initiative to walk towards the three chairs. His every move was reflected in the mirror.

In the dance studio in the early morning, Chen Ge looked at himself in the mirror. The closer he got, the more uncertain he felt.

He resisted the urge to smash the mirror and turned over three chairs. Like the one he had seen before, there was a girl's name written under each chair.

"Including the chair in the girls' dormitory, I saw a total of five chairs. If each chair represents a girl, then what exactly happened to these five girls?"
