Xi'er: "Where?"
Qin Xi's eyes were cold and sharp, and he said clearly, word by word, with a slight smile: "Heavenly Prison".
Xi'er's eyes widened, and she glanced at Emperor Yuxian in a panic. Seeing him looking down at the woman beside him, seemingly obeying her, she finally panicked.
She kowtowed repeatedly, crying, "Your Majesty, I am innocent! I am completely innocent, yet Consort Qi wants to put me to death! Your Majesty, you must do justice for me!"
Emperor Yuxian frowned in displeasure at being disturbed by her, "How noisy."
He was followed by the head eunuch who had just left. Upon hearing this, he immediately waved his whisk and, with a keen eye, gave the other eunuchs a meaningful look. "Didn't you hear what the Empress said? Why aren't you dragging him to the imperial prison?"
Xi'er was lifted up again, and in her panic, she screamed shrilly, "Your Majesty! Your Majesty! You can't believe this poisonous woman's words! Your Majesty! I'm innocent! Consort Qi, you will die a horrible death! You will!"
The head eunuch glanced at Emperor Yuxian, who was frowning and picking at his ear, so he raised his hand and said, "Dislocate his jaw and drag him away immediately."
After Xi'er was dragged away, Qi Xian Palace finally quieted down.
Emperor Yuxian looked at Qin Xi without speaking. After a long while, he said, "All of you, leave. I have something to say to Consort Qi."
Upon hearing this, all the palace servants curtsied and took their leave. Lele hesitated, glancing at Qin Xi and then at Shu Hua, clutching the hem of her clothes, somewhat at a loss.
Shu Hua looked at Emperor Yu Xian warily, clearly not wanting to go out.
Qin Qi told her about how, when Emperor Yuxian was still the fourth prince, he and Bao Bao colluded to lure her to a separate residence, almost robbing her of her innocence. Shu Hua was horrified. She couldn't understand how the once mild-mannered fourth prince had gradually become like this.
She promised Lu Huai that she would take good care of Qin Xi, and she had to keep her word; otherwise, there would be no point in her going to the palace with him.
Noticing her gaze, Emperor Yuxian slowly raised his eyes. "Didn't you hear what I said?"
Shu Hua looked at him warily. "Zhao Yue heard that, but my friend is currently six months pregnant and needs someone by her side, so Zhao Yue is requesting to stay here to take care of her."
"I'll say it again." Emperor Yuxian tilted his head. "Get out. You, and you, all of you get out."
Shu Hua pursed her lips, her gaze fixed on him, afraid that he would do something that would be detrimental to Qin Qi.
"I remember, your father's name is Shu Gu, isn't it?" Emperor Yuxian looked at her with great interest. "Besides, you are a princess sent for a political marriage. You returned to the capital without reporting it. Should I sentence you to the crime of concealing something and send you back to Qing Kingdom?"
Shu Hua froze instantly.
Qin Qi opened her eyes and looked at Shu Hua. "Zi Hui, you and Lele go out first."
Shu Hua looked at her anxiously, "Yizhi..."
Qin Qi gently shook her head, "It's alright, I know what I'm doing."
Shu Hua pursed her lips and gave Emperor Yu Xian a warning look. "Zhao Yue takes her leave."
Lele also bowed in greeting.
Only Emperor Yuxian and Qin Qi remained in the palace.
Qin Xi's gaze never fell on Emperor Yuxian, but Emperor Yuxian had been watching her ever since he entered. Seeing that they had all left, a gentle smile appeared on his lips, "Sister Xi..."
Qin Xi remained silent and did not respond, completely ignoring him.
Emperor Yuxian was not annoyed and continued to speak to himself, "When I was seven years old, I skipped my class at the Imperial Academy and ran out with Zhaoyang to fly kites. We happened to meet you, who were waiting for Prime Minister Qin."
