Peach and plum blossoms joyfully welcome spring, magpies sing at dawn to celebrate the passing of six generations.

Who knew she knew Qin Xi would come to see her, harboring such thoughts. After the matter was exposed, the guards had already taken away the fragments she possessed, but they forgot that it is easier for a person to want to die than to want to live.

She probably understood that she had almost hurt Qin Xi, and Lu Huai would never let her go, so she might as well end it all.

However, Qin Xi was still stunned when she learned of this.

Among them, Bao Bao has always been the most lively and cheerful. Wherever she is, it's like there's always a rainbow, making people feel interesting and happy.

But this person suddenly disappeared from their world. The rainbow colors turned gray. Neither she nor Lele could accept it.

Qin Xi closed her eyes briefly. "Give him a proper burial."

Lele accepted the order and went to find Ayu. She sat there alone, and suddenly her eyes reddened.

The bag... was gone. The little girl who chattered around her like a little oriole had simply left her.

She hadn't felt anything amiss when Lele was here. But when she was alone, she suddenly realized how vast the courtyard was, so vast that she felt utterly lonely.

A wave of overwhelming sadness suddenly washed over her. Qin Xi blinked, tears streaming down her face, making it difficult for her to see clearly.

Qin Xi was very sad, so sad that a wave of discomfort washed over her, and she couldn't help but feel nauseous, covering her mouth and dry heaving.

Lu Huai, who had just returned with snowflake pastries, couldn't help but shrink his pupils and quickly came over to support her. "What's wrong? Why are you crying?"

Qin Qi leaned against him, shaking her head repeatedly, but then felt nauseous again. This happened several times before she finally calmed down a bit.

Lu Huai hugged her, who was exhausted, and kept patting her back to help. "Are you feeling better?"

"My bag... my bag is gone." She covered her eyes and shook her head.

Seeing her crying so bitterly, Lu Huai already had a guess in his mind, but he didn't say anything, for fear of touching her sore spot. He sighed softly, "Everyone has their own fate."

Qin Xi turned around, wrapped her arms around his neck, and remained silent. Lu Huai gently patted her back, and the two stood there like that for a long time.

After an incense stick had burned, Qin Qi felt a little weak in the legs. She leaned on Lu Huai's shoulder and said shyly in a low voice, "How about... we sit for a while?"

Lu Huai couldn't help but chuckle and teased, "Finally tired?"

Qin Xi pursed her lips and smiled faintly.

Lu Huai sat down and opened the snowflake pastry wrapped in oil paper, placing it in front of her. Qin Qi's eyes lit up immediately, but she gagged a moment later.

Lu Huai frowned, but before he could say anything, he heard footsteps approaching, along with Doctor Zheng's panting voice.

"Ouch, ouch, slow down! Slow down, sir!"

Then came Minister Lu's voice, "It can't be delayed! Old Zheng, this matter absolutely cannot be delayed! If you delay, my grandson might think I don't like him and go back on his own!"

Dr. Zheng: "..."

The footsteps stopped abruptly at the courtyard gate, as Minister Lu saw Lu Huai's expressionless face and Qin Xi's bewildered expression.

The courtyard fell silent for a moment, until Qin Xi broke the awkward silence first. She smiled, "Father-in-law, what is this...?"

"Oh, right, right!" Minister Lu slapped his forehead, pulled Doctor Zheng, who was panting and leaning on his back, to his side, and ordered, "Quick, Old Zheng, don't delay. Quickly check my daughter-in-law's pulse and see if it's my grandson causing trouble."
